Eventually a very young-looking woman barged through the door and announced "we have a problem." What? And who are you? I assumed she was the new dentist, but I'd never met a medical professional who failed to introduce herself. She brought my x-rays up on a screen, and pointed to a shaded area above a molar. "You have an abscess." I noted I'd had a root canal two years prior, but wasn't experiencing any abscess symptoms. She countered with "you don't practice good oral hygiene because you haven't seen a dentist in two years. You probably have bone loss and will need an extraction and implant." HUH??? I informed her that if she'd read my chart, she would know I 1) had recently seen the dentist she replaced, 2) had a teeth cleaning 6 months ago, and 3) have a serious medical condition that contraindicates tooth extractions and implants. She backed off and said we could "try" a second root canal, then disappeared and was replaced by a salesperson who attempted to upsell me on the above. I spent decades in the music/entertainment industries, and never have I experienced a clumsier hustle than this predatory dental gaslighting. The reviews here speak for themselves, but add to that the dentist had apparently graduated from dental school just a few months before I became her unwitting patient. Needless to say, I switched practices pronto, and enhanced imaging by a far more experienced dentist revealed the "abscess" was actually a sinus polyp. Turns out I didn't need $8,000+ of upsell that could've killed me after all. Go figure. Buyer beware.

The bonding was done poorly and did and does not look right at all. Instead of taking accountability, I was met with excuses rather than solutions. This is especially frustrating considering how basic this type of procedure is supposed to be. What made the experience even worse was the pressure from the front desk staff--specifically Julie--who repeatedly pushed me toward getting a crown instead. It felt inappropriate and unnecessary, especially when I originally came in for something much more conservative. This has genuinely affected me emotionally. My front teeth are something you can't ignore, and this happened right around my birthday, which completely ruined what should have been a special time. It's been two weeks and I still can't look at myself in the mirror. I came in expecting a simple fix and left feeling stressed, unheard, and unhappy. I would not recommend this office based on my experience.

Showed me the x rays and photos so I could understand. Cleaned up the old crown, cemented it back on and I am back on vacation ... just like that. Dr. Tom is very kind and direct and knowledgeable, his staff is really incredible, the office is very modern and clean and reassuring. A+ experience.

I was an active participant in it. And now I completely understand what is needed, what it is going to cost and how long it is going to take. I so appreciate that level of transparency. He is super friendly and also took measures to ensure I was comfortable throughout both of my first two appointments. His staff is also great. His office manager is a great communicator and is very on top of the billing details with my insurance. And his dental assistants are friendly, professional and experienced.
