Pam checked us in and was fantastic filling us in on the places/trails to check out! The room was nice with the layout. Bedroom was large and the bed was incredibly comfortable! Everything was clean when we checked in the room. I did forget to take photos of the inside but definitely time for some updates as there's still popcorn ceilings, and counters are stained from use. We will absolutely be back again! We had a view of the bunny slopes from our deck.

We are not owners there. Location. The resort is in the mountains of North Carolina, with the main highlights being the wonderful natural attractions of the area. There are many hikes within an hour's drive to waterfalls in local state parks, on National Forest Service land, and even a walk around a Wyndham-owned lake. Note that while the mileage may seem short, most of the roads are mountainous and curvy. There are a few restaurants nearby, and an Ingles grocery store a few miles from the resort. The resort is in a quiet location; our enclosed back deck faced the woods. The area felt safe. Our one-bedroom unit was spacious, clean, and comfortable, but dated. On the plus side, it included everything we needed -- a comfortable bed, full kitchen, television, internet access, and laundry set within the unit. We also enjoyed having the enclosed back deck. However, as mentioned, it was somewhat dated though some things (such as light fixtures had been updated). A few concerns. Noise traveled from our neighbor's unit, even when they spoke at normal volume. And, there were no handicap-accessibility fixtures (such as grab bars) in the shower. We appreciated the *free* activities available at the resort, including indoor pool, wet and dry saunas, jacuzzi tub, miniature golf, and the hike/walk around the lake down the street. While most of our time was spent exploring the area, we also participated in an hour of bingo at the resort. Together, my husband and I played 4 cards for $10; I won the final (of 8) games and got back our $10. There were other activities too that we passed on.

They are in the process of updating the wi-fi in the units. You will get an access card to use the facilities at Sapphire Valley. The pool was nice. The place was a little outdated but in general it was good. There was no mention on the mini golf at the place. Basic course but well maintained. Our unit was very clean and remodeled. There was an electric fireplace to use. The four stars is for having to drive over a mile to get to use the facilities.

We stayed here in December 2023 from a road trip from our home state of Florida. The outdoors was so pretty and we had a great view of the forest. At first thought I thought our backyard was an icy lake, but it was so cold that it was a golf course frozen over. We definitely want to stay here again another season, possibly the fall when there are colored leaves on the trees. This resort is great for large families of 4+. We are 4 adults and stayed here very comfortably because the rooms are huge and can connect! There is a REAL fireplace in each room and the kitchen is large with all the things you need to cook, wash, etc. The rooms were also very clean. The community room is huge and real nice as well. I honestly don't have anything bad to say about the resort except that if you want to visit the lobby, you will have to drive a little. But, we didn't need to at all. You can always call if you need something and they will deliver asap. I strongly recommend this place! If you have any questions, I can try to answer them for you.

I called who I thought was Capitol Vacations, as the phone number on my "itinerary" was listed underneath "centralreonline@capitolvacations.com However, it was the phone number for Foxhunt at Sapphire Valley. I had the unfortunate pleasure of speaking with "Chrissy" (couldn't quite understand her), and she was very impolite and implied I was not telling the truth as they ONLY charge the full amount at check in. Really?! Like I don't have better things to do except make up charges for a reservation and spend time finding their phone number calling etc! Although I was not happy about the unexpected (and really unauthorized) charge, nor the unprofessional person answering Foxhunt's calls, I choose to overlook it and keep my reservations. Reservations are - were - July 11-17, 2026. Today, July 3rd, Chrissy (?) called and informed me my reservations were CANCELED. I could not believe a week prior to the date of the reservations this "resort" cancelled and had the audacity to rudely explain it was due to "maintenance ". I was not offered an alternative, worse no apology was offered and instead I was talked to like I did something wrong!! That person, "Chrissy", was condescending, rude, unapologetic, and disrespectful! Also, she informed me I could take it up with her supervisor- who won't be back until Monday! So, do yourself a favor and bypass considering a vacation at this place. Unless you enjoy dealing with unnecessary treatment and behavior and having your vacation plans ruined. By the way, imagine having to tell my 10-year old nephew, guess what buddy? No vacation in the mountains this time! Nice. Y'all are heartless Foxhunt! Heartless AND unprofessional! Finally!! THANK YOU, FOXHUNT OF SAPPHIRE!! Since you canceled at the last minute; have extremely rude, nasty, hateful, unprofessional employees; the fact that "Chrissy" was just as nasty to the Capitol Travel representative (yes, I was told she experienced the same treatment as I received!!); I am grateful to NOT be staying there and will be sure to warn others so they do not have to experience such rude and uncalled for treatment. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

We were in Building number #6 unit 1561. The units are three levels. Upper level is living area. 2nd level is a bathroom and bedroom with a single and queen bed. Closet with vacuum cleaner and broom and dust pan. Table stand with lamp. The bottom level is the master bedroom. Deck off the bedroom. Bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, toilet, and sink. The Heating process was ok for main living space. But was weak for 2nd floor area did not heat well. The master the same but there was a space heater in the wall. The fireplace worked nicely. Wood can be gotten from Ingles store. There is starter wood also. I did pick up wmy first wood buy from hardware store ain cashiernd starter would. Wood bundle was 8.99 and at Ingles is 7.99. There is nothing to store ashes. Ingles is the place to shop but not inexpensive similar to Busches or Publiexs. TV location is across the room from sitting area. The reason is the location power outlet and cable connection. There are DVD players available. At this time of year somethings are closed. Farmer Market was closed and the restaurant on Sapphire. There are restaurants close by. We did not eat out but chose to buy from Ingles. Eat at unit. We went to White water falls. Sapphire which is mile down the road is where rec center. The gym is very well setup. One thing to note one needs to drive to things. If you want to walk the topography has elevation. So know that situation. If one wants a quiet place and nice environment this is the place I would recommend this place. We were satisfied with our experience. The reason for a 4 is our experience with finding registration and the toilet kept running. I called office for more trash bags and how to handle ashes. Left a message but no returned call. If the items noted did not happen would have given a 5 start.

It had a 4 Star rating with AAA and it looked beautiful so I made the reservation. We were looking for a place to relax, do some hiking and look at nature and that is exactly what we got and more. When we got there Henry and Clare, who own this beautiful Bed and Breakfast, made us feel welcomed immediately. The grounds and the B & B are breathtaking. We stayed in the Lord Tenneyson Room. The lake nearby is Lake Glenviille which is incredible. They had a champayne cruise on the the lake and the next day evening drinks. They also served a full breakfast daily in the room. Clare and Henry gave us a map of hiking trails. They recommended Rainbow Falls and Whitewater Falls. Great hikes and even better scenery. This facility is well worth the 4 stars. Their service is just as good as any 5 star resort. It is romantic and well worth the trip.

He had never stayed in a place that did that for guests. It was always delicious and got us ready for a day of exploration. We went to the hospitality hour almost every day. Claire and my husband talked about craft beers and she was such a sweetheart to remember what kind of beers he enjoyed and had them at the next days hospitality hour. We took all of Claire and Henry's recommendations on things to do and good places to eat. Which included; the Champagne Cruise (lots of fun, Claire brought those delicious crackers she makes) different waterfalls to go see, and going to see the Biltmore in Asheville. Long story short we loved this bed and breakfast and if given the opportunity we would gladly go back. Thank you Claire and Henry!
