f I were traveling to St. Thomas regularly I might not post such a glowing review as I'd like to keep this a bit of a secret. This is a great beach with fine sand, shade, easy access to reasonable snorkeling as well as a good beach bar. It's about a 20 min cab ride from Charolette Amalie that currently costs $30 for two people.

Sapphire Beach on St Thomas Island (USVI) in the Caribbean was a great alternative to the popular Magens Bay Beach, which gets extremely busy when several ships are in port. Our tour guide recommended it & I could see why - not as busy, more relaxing, easy to get a beach chair & a great bar & lounge area serving really awesome fish tacos. It can be a quieter beach made easier to find shaded areas or just a little privacy along the shore line. The bar area is very accommodating & spacious if you just want to chillout in the shade. Washroom & change facilities & an outdoor shower area to wash the sand off are conveniently nearby. An intruder approached us while we were swimming - a stingray. Darn it I didn't have a waterproof camera on me at the time. Sapphire Beach is free to access as opposed to Magens Bay which costs $7 per person. Also of note to rent a beach chair at Magens Bay, it's $20 & at Sapphire Beach it was $12 but I negotiated it for $10. I'm not saying - don't go to Magens Bay Beach - but rather keep Sapphire Beach in mind as a clear less busier alternative, if you are wanting to spend just a few hours swimming & tanning before you have to return to your ship.

My favorite beach in St Thomas :) We stayed at the resort right on this beach and it was gorgeous every single day. The water was crystal clear. If you stay at the resort, you're able to use the chairs and umbrellas for free. There is a restaurant & bar there too, that served great finger foods, burgers and drinks. This beach is also conveniently located near a strip of restaurants, as well as Coral World- an ocean park. Definitely less busy than the more touristy beaches across the island.

Beautiful beach! This was my 4th trip to St. Thomas/St. John, however, it was my first time staying on St. Thomas. I feel incredibly lucky to have found a condo that was mere minutes' walking distance from this beach. My main goal for any beach vacation is to spend as much time underwater as possible, and I was blown away by the snorkeling here. It was my husband's first time snorkeling so we stayed relatively close to shore, but we were still able to see an incredible array of sea life. The water was also extremely calm. I'd recommend this beach to anyone visiting St. Thomas!

This is a great option for some time to spend at the beach and snorkeling. The beach is a bit narrower but longer. The resort is there and the beach bar area is nice and convenient, but the beach is accessible to the public. Some parts of the beach can be a little rocky and slippery. There is some decent snorkeling in the area not too far from the shore. The views are just gorgeous from almost anywhere in the island and Sapphire Beach is no exception.

Beautiful beach. Love the amenities offered by Sapphire Beach hotel - a bar right near the beach, a gift shop, a breakfast type cafe selling coffee and light food with gifts as well. Super inviting and beautiful areas to sit. Also had a restaurant beach bar that was opening while we were there. Would definitely go back and recommend for others to see. Water was absolutely gorgeous. Seemed like there was ample parking near Sapphire Beach resort but unsure if it is public or not.

It's beautiful. Water is turquoise green/blue. Just the sea weed was my issue. No one can control it. Overall good experience. There are better places on Virgin Island.

Google maps is wrong, it sends you to a closed gate, instead drive to the resort entrance. There is free public parking to the left. There is an ice cream and coffee bar, and a regular bar. The beach is pretty steep and rocky, but the waves are bigger than the other beaches. Nothing to surf on, just enough to lay on a boogie board.

I tel everyone who is anyone to go to Sapphire Beach. It is still a favorite of mine for so many reasons! First of all, there's a very happening bar/restaurant (they fixed everything since the hurricanes) where people are hanging by or there are waitresses that run out to you while you lounge on the beach - serving both food and drinks! Second, there are all sorts of amenities outside of just the restaurant - there are bathrooms, spot to rent beach chairs from (pricey though - $9 a chair), spot to rent swim sporting goods, and also non-aggressive locals making a living selling straw hats, carved items, and clothing, they don't chase you or approach you but are there if you want to purchase something. Third, the beach and animal life! There are a ton of these cute red billed brown ducks that chill everywhere on the beach (glad they made it through the storms) as well as iguanas. There is great snorkeling, although I didn't get a chance to go this last time so hopefully the reefs are still okay but there were a ton of people snorkeling. The water is a perfect temperature and moderate waves and a bit rocky before you drop in. My little one loved swimming with her swimmers on. It's a fairly busy beach as cruise ships bring folks out as well. Do yourself a favor and check Sapphire Beach out!

Great get away beach. Gorgeous place to relax and get a drink. It says that it's private but they haven't taken the signs down. Anyone can come here. Bring a towel and relax.

It's a beautiful beach, the crowd goes up and down with the cruise ships. There's competing chair services, if you are part of a package you get the X color chairs, if you stay in the condos you get the Y color chairs, or you can rent chairs. The restaurant and pub open at 11am. The small coffee shop opens earlier and had breakfast, coffee, smoothies to go. Theres a taxi line at the entrance to the beach. The safaris pick up at the top of the parking lot.

This was our go to beach while staying on St Thomas. Not too crowded (except when there was a cruise excursion there).

Great beach and good snorkeling! A Little bit loud for my taste, but worth going to, if on the island.

We rented from Jaw Beach Rentals, where we interacted with a staff member named Bennie (recognizable by his large beard). During our interaction, he was quite impolite and used inappropriate language, which made us feel uncomfortable. What was more concerning is that we also observed similar behavior toward other couples nearby, suggesting this may not have been an isolated incident. Coki Point Beach itself is beautiful, with clear water and excellent snorkeling, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Situations like this take away from what should otherwise be a relaxing and enjoyable visit. I hope this feedback is taken constructively and that there is better oversight to ensure visitors are treated with basic respect and professionalism.
