In 2013 Someone's basement was filled with raw sewage and he used a sump pump and drained it all into the backyard. By far the worst company I ever worked for and I wouldn't recommend that anyone work for him not how him for his services.

I am the 2nd owner of a house built by this company in 2000. While the basic structure is extremely…read moresolid overall, numerous deficiencies in interior and exterior finish work and detail have become blindingly apparent. Several doors have racked over the years, causing them not to close correctly (the striker no longer meets the hole!). A few windows were installed incorrectly and are either slightly racked or hard to open/close. Vertical trim outside windows all over the house was face nailed with common nails, which now bleed rust onto the paint. These same boards are all rotted due to not having been sealed properly during installation. The site-built front railing was made from standard pine and left untreated. The design was horrible from a durability viewpoint as it caught and kept water, with the entire railing rotting to punk after only 10 years. While replacing it, I found rotted wood under the lower siding and trim. This was caused by incorrectly applied housewrap and flashing, and will be corrected in the spring. While cleaning gutters last month I found places where the top braces were never screwed into place, which has caused increasing ice dams and sagging gutters (not to mention bad drainage) over the years. Several neighbors whose houses were built at the same time have experienced numerous similar problems. One (the model home) ended up with an internally collapsed chimney to the tune of $9000 in repairs. The same house's front wall rotted to the point where someone went through the wall when they leaned against it. This was again due to incorrect sealing and lack of flashing. At least three houses on our road (all built by this company) have required remedial treatment for rot behind the clapboards. This is not good construction. In most recent news, an attempt to replace rotted face trim on several windows was impossible when it was discovered the 'trim' was not trim, but an integral part of the window structure and the windows were face-nailed in place. These people seem to do a decent job and the structure/utilities are very well done. But whoever they employ for finish carpentry and exterior trim work is (or was) highly unskilled. If you're building with them, have an expert builder of your own on call to monitor and contact the builder to correct their mistakes.

My husband & I deeply needed a house clearing + blessing for our new life together. Our old…read moreCambridge home, while beautiful & full, held some noticeable "off-juju" in various rooms & corners. Cosmically, we had the fates help us to find & call upon Janine Whitaker. After living for almost 2 decades in CA, I had moved home to Boston where my sage & Palo Alto sticks + crystal sprays often attracted strange stares from my hometown friends & family.  However, after years of subtle yet undeniable balancing & intention manifesting using these tools, I was adamant they would still hold a place in my East coast life.  We lacked the professional experience to tap into expanded levels of spiritual, energetic tools (Janine uses all of the best of them!), thus we needed a shaman.   Not surprisingly, the universe led us to exactly the person we set our intention to find.  After locating Janine's website in the local google search, I phoned & in one conversation felt she was our "it".  Along with her lovely assistant Kate, we scheduled Janine to come to our home and in a warm & easy ceremony (which my husband & I chose to participate in!), we cleared & blessed our home.  The difference was immediate, even my somewhat skeptical (& intensely practical!) husband "felt" a profound difference.  We were so happy that within weeks, we asked Janine to travel to "clear" our vacation home too & similarly felt old juju's lifted & welcomed in their place a palpable sense of clarity & harmony after her work there. As my husband & I approached our New England August wedding, we both began feeling that we needed a spiritual element, authentic to us and at once infused with sacred ceremony.  We called Janine who presented us with a handful of extraordinary ideas.  We asked if she would "bless our ceremony space", share spirit stones with our guests and perform a Celtic hand-tying ceremony as part of our wedding. Janine Whitaker will forever hold a most special place in our lives!

They have special spirits and made the ceremony interesting and fun and especially meaningful. Our experience was so special that we actually asked them to assist at our wedding! This otherwise reputable painting company was contracted to paint 5 rooms (kitchen, three bathrooms…read moreand a finished basement room), a foyer and a hallway in our house during a renovation. When it was "completed" we noticed that there was (1) no signs of any wall prep/sanding/repair, (2) primer paint visible throughout after they claimed to paint "two coats" of wall color paint and (3) areas of the bathroom with no new primer or paint. They used our hot water heater's emergency tap to clean their paint sprayer, leaving an inch of black dust over the entire heater closet. They left a ladder and several tools behind for 3 months. We did give FTP a chance to fix (or honestly complete) the original two coats during a follow-up walk-through that we requested. The manager was belligerent and irritated by us bringing attention to large swaths of unpainted wall and he consistently denied those areas had not "had two coats applied". Regardless, another painter from their company came some time later and did some trim work that was unfinished and some touch up. But two of the bathrooms remain half finished and will require us to personally re-paint their "professional work". To have a local favorite painter in town treat our local house carelessly hurt a lot. We understand that summer labor shortages sometimes mean hiring less qualified and experienced painters but this was a sub-DIY job and seemed to be an inconvenience. Which would be fine if we were not paying premium painter prices.
