We ordered the momo dumplings in chicken and in pork (everyone loved them). They were accompanied by a very interesting tomato sauce that was spicy, like a chutney I had the Tom Yum Prawn soup as I'm gluten intolerant - it seemed quite salty but nice and spicy. The flavor wasn't what I was used to. I am getting over a cold so it was perfect for how I was feeling. We ordered about 7 dishes and shared them family style, 3 orders of naan, and 3 sides of white rice. It was enough for 6 very hungry people. The food seemed a bit sweeter than Indian that I am used to but it was a pleasant change. My favorite dishes were the fish curry (tikke masala?) and the butter chicken. My only big complaint was that the chickpeas in the chana masala weren't cooked all the way through....al dente. We didn't eat most of it. The dishes were all nicely spiced - nothing too outrageously hot. Nice selection of beers. We never got to dessert as we ordered way too much food! Prices are quite reasonable and service was attentive (albeit a wee bit on the slow side). Would definitely return.

So in addition to a wonderfully warm welcome, we also were served delicious food with great portion sizes and small prices. The curries were hot and delicious, and so far we haven't found 1 thing on the menu that we have not liked. My personal favorite is the garlic naan and the Singapore noodles. Be sure to ask the owner to do an impromptu magic show for you as well!

It certainly had all of the usual suspects as far as what I've heard of British breakfasts. A fried egg, sausage, bacon (very salty), baked beans, grilled mushrooms, and two pieces of fried bread. I'm hoping the staff is trained at CPR as I'm feeling dizzy just looking at it. I managed to leave the sausage and the bread behind. Coffee was good and strong. Seating is tables for two or four. A party of five came in while I was dining and they had to split themselves over two tables. If you sit by the window, or at one of the outside tables, there's plenty of people watching to be had. There's also an upstairs "eat as much as you like" Nepalese style dining but I didn't try that. Maybe another time.

The salads are brown round the edges and uninspiring, the curries are glutinous slop with gristle wallowing in them. Order three beers and you have just been cast in the role of resident alcoholic. The price though, is cheap. Completely and utterly rock-bottom cheap. The quiet and unassuming waiting staff (I'm guessing all members of the same family) and polite and helpful and totally charming. As such, it's an ideal place to end a night on the beers. You're not going to offend anyone, you won't be too much out of pocket and the food isn't going to have you on the Thunder-box the next morning. It's the first Indian restaurant you get to down the Reading road, and there's a taxi firm just round the corner. Decor wise, I'm guessing it was last touched, when the menu was last revised.
