As I was looking at polos and trying things on the gentlemen Alan that was helping me was very friendly but when he came from the back speaking with another lady working there I overheard him say "This poor guy up here" not knowing I heard him. I assume referring to not how much money I had to spend but referring to how big I was and that I couldn't find much that would fit me. Great selection of southern preppy men's clothing you won't find elsewhere without doing some major digging. With all local chains the prices are going to be higher than some of your malls, not overpriced just full priced. it is a fine establishment and I recommend any man take a break from the clutches of Macy's and give them a shot.

Since my daughter's wedding is months away, I waited for the annual "Black Friday" sale. From start to finish, my salesman (I don't remember his name!) guided, recommended, and suggested in ways beneficial to my need of a suit and a reasonable price. Overall, I had a genuinely pleasant experience, and of course I left with more than a suit! The manager on duty also assisted in a professional manner and also communicated to my wife and me that we were welcome. Side Notes: The alterations for both pant legs were marginal at $18. I was happy they didn't charge by leg! If you're purchasing a new wardrobe, sign up for the rewards program. Also, I planned ahead and brought my own dress shoes and socks to use when trying on the suit.

A must visit LGBTQ friendly boutique store if you're visiting Orlando! Better than anything you could find at the outlets, or malls. The products seem to be selected from fashion designers that I haven't been able to find locally in the United States. Very excited I live close by so I'm able to shop more often!!!

Every time I come in I'm sure to explore every single item, ensuring I don't miss something. This last time in I was trying to pass time before meeting a friend for dinner. I mean that is a steal of a deal! One thing I love about Avalon, is they always seem to be overstaffed so anytime I come in I always have people to ask questions to or to help with anything!

A good stop to leisurely stroll around for fun. My only annoyance is that there is no governance on how many items you can try on at a time, so I had to wait like 10-15min watching people cycle out items in their dressing room and cart. Would be good to add a limit before you have to get back in line or something to make sure people aren't just waiting around forever.

I actually came here specifically for an Amazon return that I could not return to the UPS store. I totally forgot that they had a Sephora in here, but I made sure that I did not go in there because I would've left homeless.. we ended up getting a few things for my daughter and I picked up a little bar of chocolate just to make the specific amount in order to obtain a reward coupon. We ended up making it and then we left and as soon as we got to the car, we realized there was something else that we needed, and we could probably find it here. So lo and behold, we found ourselves right back inside the store making another purchase and trying to make the amount so we can get another reward coupon. I walked right by the Sephora area and started to get tempted, but I am very proud of myself because I have never had so much self-control in my life. I could literally feel it seeping out of my bones. It did not feel good but once I got outside I was so proud of myself and got a warm tingly feeling-no I didn't have to use the toilet.. Anyways I had a good experience, the staff were friendly and kind. They talked to me about rewards stuff and convinced me to apply for a credit card that I'll probably rarely use because I'm afraid of going back lol. The tingly feeling didn't last long enough to combat the feeling of the seeping from TRYING to have self control. We will see how it goes. I will eventually have to come back for something. I'll find an excuse!!

5 Stars for a boutique on Park Ave where normal (see: no rich) people can actually shop!…read more I was leaving Briarpatch and had a little time to kill so I figured I'd do some aspirational browsing through a shop next door. Lucky for me, that shop was Forema and they have not succumbed to the Park Avenue tax (which only exists in my head and not with the state or city) so there were affordable options! There are plenty of racks of clothes and gifts but what called to me was the jewelry. Each piece was unique and there was something for everyone. Though it leans pretty boho chic, I imagine even the preppiest of sorority girls (Rollins) would find something to fawn over. I ended up buying a few necklaces, each priced at under $20, and a few tiny rings. Though the necklaces aren't real gold or silver, I see similar designs at stores nearby (and online) for ridiculously inflated prices. One necklace I wore even into the shower eventually lost its gold sheen and turned a dark silver, but I actually dig the look and am still happy with it. Overall, I'm thankful for a place on the avenue that caters to a broader economic audience at least.
