Here on vacation, I finally decided it was time to purchase my first cowboy hat. I walked in and was immediately intimidated by the amount of hats to choose from. Thankfully, an employee walked up and quickly disarmed my defenses with her kind and jovial demeanor. I then spent the next 20-30 minutes with this employee getting a crash course in the wild world of cowboy hats. She spent that time helping me choose which one suited my purpose for buying one, explained what I should be looking for in a hat, how each one complimented my face and head, which ones looked too small, how to fit them, etc. She knew when I needed some time to mull over a particular one, and was ready by my side when I needed some advice or help. By the way, cowboy hats can be expensive! I had no idea. Some of them were locked in cases like expensive tequila. Which is to say I spent more than I was planning. But I credit my purchase to the help I received from the store employee. She did a great job and was a true salesperson.

This location is in the same plaza as Ross and Boot Barn, with plenty of parking. Scheels in general is a dog friendly store, so I visited this store with my little girl dog and my husband. We were greeted by a few friendly employees when we entered the store. This store is a little smaller than some of the other locations that I have been to, as it did not have a ferris wheel in the middle of the store, but they do have a cafe that sells coffee and tasty sweets. There is also a bowling alley, which cost only $1 for 5 frames. My husband and I ended up playing a round each while we visited. Our visit was fun and pleasant. We enjoyed browsing the store after playing a short round of bowling. If I lived in the area, it is most likely that I would be a regular.

On a side note, keep in mind which entrance you come in through (shoes vs jewelry), because there are two and it can be confusing if you leave and can't find your car.
