They came out, gave me an estimate, and I was ready to move forward with the project, but for some reason, they had a really tough time providing these basic details. I was very patient and understanding, even when I emphasized that we needed the stairs to access our crawlspace for additional house work (mold remediation). Unfortunately, I was met with repeated promises to follow up that never happened, spanning over a week. I get that businesses get busy, but communication and follow-through are a pretty basic part of customer service. I gave them multiple opportunities to simply send over the information I needed. He said his email wasn't working, so I asked if he could just send the info over via text. He said he would and that he just needed to finish something up and then nothing. Based on my experience, I would not recommend them. If they are willing to be this unreliable before a project even begins, I can only imagine how difficult it could be once hired. Large landscaping projects require a certain level of trust and reliability and unfortunately, my experience gave me neither.

The person sent to provide a quote was much more than just a salesman. He pointed out several areas that required repairs including some mistakes made by the roofers who installed a new roof a few years earlier. The crew included carpenters that found rotting wood that needed to be replaced, including a structural post covered by siding, and completed the repairs with expert craftsmanship. They were easy to work with, available to answer questions, and kept me informed of their schedule. The quality of the painting was also first rate. They removed things like awnings, gutters, a satellite dish, and other house attachments before painting and made sure everything was reinstalled properly upon completion. I am very satisfied with their work and plan to contact them again for my next construction project. My project was to demolish and rebuild the external, entry stairs for my front porch and to demolish a large deck and build a balcony with staircase to replace it. I have attached pictures. The finished product was spot on to what he and I had discussed and was (most importantly) wife approved. Rafael serves as the foreman, and his crew of two performed the job. The project was completed in 4 days (more quickly than planned). They used excellent materials and recycled wood from the previous structures wherever possible and appropriate. I really appreciate his eye for sustainability. His crew was rarely idle and worked continuously without watching their cell phones. His bid was about 2/3s of the next lowest bid. My only criticism was that the job site was not cleaned completely (95% clean) and some tire mark damage to my lawn was not repaired. I discovered some of this after the crew had left. This is no big deal. Rafael is very particular about customer satisfaction and strives to make sure you are happy before final payment is made. If there is a problem, he assures you even after completion that he will return to make it right.

Two different bids-…read more Trees- BIG CEDARS. Came out to bid, gent was professional and very knowledgeable. Fair pricing. Husband just didn't pick them of the five bids. Not about money. We went with arborist. Deck bid- Building a large floating deck for base of greenhouse. Very high bid for labor, bid was not detailed enough. Didn't break down ttl cost lumber pkg, labor cost was only thing detailed. Got vibe they didn't want to communicate or interested in job. This is incredibly important job to me so went with different company.
