Concert

This was my third concert here and I loved it. They have good concessions and there is tons of parking nearby. The Reading police were fun and seemed happy to be working the pay job. Big shout out to those guys. Of course the performers were awesome but whoever was working the sound board was a mess. There was a lot of feedback and while I love bass, especially when it moves my wife's hair, it was overbearing. I know it's not a facility thing. Between acts I went down to the men's room and was standing in a long line. An employee came up and told a few of us about a small bathroom nobody notices. Awesome job!

I will start with the major glaring problem with this arena and why it is getting one star. When the fire alarm goes off during an event the arena staff should know that it is a fire alarm and what to do and how to direct people. The usher in our section had no idea what the noise was and neither did other employees we saw. After a few minutes an announcement was made that there was a fire emergency and for everyone to please exit the building. We were walking out the doors when problem began yelling it was a false alarm and to return to our seats. I did smell something that resembled burnt popcorn so wonder if it was something like that which caused the false alarm. Luckily there was no real emergency. However, I hate to think if it had been. Train your staff and teach them how to handle a building evacuation or emergency. We were visiting friends and decided to go check out a Reading Royals hockey game. Our friends knew where to park and where to go for getting into the arena. It was very cold inside, even for a hockey arena. It's definitely a loud environment. It seems they try to do fan activities and get people involved. It was a family environment for sure although not all the fans (even with kids) acted that way. We didn't eat at the arena, but a few in our group got drinks. The selection seemed decent for a venue of this size.

This was my first time visiting Santander Arena. I saw Jordan Peterson here. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience in this arena. The parking garage was conveniently located across the street, so it wasn't a very far walk at all. The arena itself was better than what I had expected. The staff that I interacted with all seemed friendly too. The one negative thing I will say is that the seats weren't that comfortable. However, I definitely would go back to this arena in the future though for other shows!

The Santander Arena and Santander Performing Arts Center are not only a symbol of the revitalization of downtown Reading but have also been the premiere downtown entertainment, meeting and convention venues for more than 15 years. They are located on Penn Street in Reading, PA. This was my first experience at this venue. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Seem to really enjoy there jobs. We had VIP seating for Winter Jam, which is floor seating, so much leg room, was pretty impressed. We were able to walk right in with these tickets, which was a blessing, since the temperature outside was in the teens. There was a line around the arena for the general admission The concert and selection of bands were perfect. What a great first time experience. Will be making this a yearly tradition. Keep up the great work.

Came here for a Royals charity game and it was pretty easy to pick up tickets at will call and then find our seats. All the staff I talked to from the event staff to vendors everyone was friendly. It looks like a lot of big acts come through and play this arena as well for concerts and comedians so I'll be sure to check it out in the future for other events.

I am not generally a 'sports' person, so it might surprise you how much I enjoy watching ice hockey...but not the NHL. I love ECHL hockey, perhaps because that was my first league, when the league itself was new and working to establish itself as a place for player development rather than brawling. When we lived in Virginia I had season tickets for many years, and I missed it. As life would have it, my son is not a hockey person (yet), however my nephews love it. The AHL team in Philly had moved out once the Spectrum had gotten demolished, we went to an AHL game elsewhere and then found the Reading Royals ECHL. I eagerly bought tickets. The Royals play at Santander Arena, which is an older venue but not ancient. It's decently sized, with public parking garages very close by that were pretty inexpensive - yay! We had no problem getting through security - bag check, metal detector, then to the ticket gate, which is up a level. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Our seats were great - for hockey there's really not a bad seat in the house, and they had a ton of contests and such in between periods and at stops in play to keep everyone entertained. The arena has a *lot* of food choices! From Chickie & Petes to the generic pizza and hamburgers, a specialty BBQ stand, Carvel Ice Cream, Dippin Dots and more. I was impressed with the offerings and while they weren't cheap, this IS after all an arena, it wasn't highway robbery either. We opted for the $10 meal with fries, a drink and a cheeseburger. Fries were great, soda was soda, hamburger...well, that's where it was not so good, a little chewy and even with added BBQ sauce not a whole lot of taste. I am not totally surprised, hamburgers are difficult to do well in this setting. Next time I'll maybe get the BBQ or a hot dog. Overall it was a fun experience and one we are looking forward to having again.

Not comfortable seats

The chairs were so close together and uncomfortable that I will probably not return. The idea is to pack in any many paid seats as possible so no arm rests. The lady next to me caught her sweater on a hook under her seat and was unable to stand. She blamed me for sitting on it until I stood up.

The venue was clean. The staff, including security were very friendly. I would return for another show

Nice arena. I have seen a few things there, mostly hockey games. Good selection of food and love that they have crab fries! Friendly staff.

Get a walkway so people don't have to miss shows due to dangerous proximity to long trains preventing us from getting to the arena

As for the Center itself, it's a very intimate venue, maybe 6000-7000 seats, so you get right up close to the band from most seats.

BEFORE YOU ENROLL!!!…read more RACC is NOT BBB ACCREDITED!! Firstly, I'll say I am not usually big on confrontation but when I feel like I'm being played with, it never sits well with me, ESPECIALLY within a professional environment because I am not dumb and you as the "professional", should have learned soft skills. Learn to communicate better with potential students so you don't get reviews like this before the program even starts. Secondly, the phlebotomy department is horrible and it seems like no one has good listening skills. This enrollment process has been absolutely awful. I have been trying to get ahold of them since before September, as a matter of fact, according to my emails, I went as far back as 2023. I have gone in person multiple times, emailed, and called and every single time I got different information from everyone I talked to. Elianny was supposed to be my advisor and has been the absolute worst at communicating and very irresponsible. She claimed my emails went to her "junk" folder which is insane that she even admitted to not checking her junk folder for months, as a "professional". I even check my junk folder! I was interested in beginning months ago but lack of communication on their part pushed me back to what I thought would have been March but is now May 12. Now, after emailing my paperwork I have to continue calling them every day to see if they got anything, and that's IF they answer. I have emailed my paperwork to 2 individuals and the career department yet not one has been received and I was told today, after weeks, that the system is transitioning. Why couldn't they have told me that initially?! I would've been taken my papers in person rather than keep playing tag with this irresponsible advisor. I went again in person and spoke with Elaine and she said ALL that was needed was my transcripts followed by the same questions "did you already apply for fafsa and the scholarship?" Are they not able to see that????? Fast forward, I call the BOE for the city I went to school at and they faxed the transcripts, well RACC never received it, because of course, they have no fax for that department so apparently it just went anywhere, I called the BOE again and had them email me this time. I emailed careertraining@racc.edu letting them know the BOE said they could provide a copy of the UNOFFICIAL transcripts OR a letter proving graduation to which "Veyyes" responded, and I quote "I apologize for your frustration in regards to the registration process. If you are referring to your high school or GED transcript, an unofficial transcript will be acceptable." Upon receiving my transcripts, I forwarded the email to them and got another email response saying, and I quote again, "Hello Nahomi, Correction, we do in fact need your official high school diploma/ GED transcript." And of course I can't say who sent it because they deleted their signature from the email. At this point I am rightfully angry and frustrated. I finally spoke with Regina, who seemed to care at first but as soon as I defended myself she became sort of irritated and condescending. I tried explaining to her for the 182nd time that I already did everything in my part and needed to know what else I had to do, she kept talking over me and rudely cutting me off as if what I had to say didn't matter She kept telling me to relax and not stress when they're the ones stressing me out! All in all, the call with Regina ended up in me having a panic attack by 10:50am. It really takes away my motivation and makes me want to continue my education elsewhere. I haven't even started and I already regret my decision. Update: unfortunately I went thru with my enrollment and even now they continue to play games except now it's with my tuition balance and scholarship. Literally every other girl in my class received the full $2,000 scholarship--except me. No clear explanation was given, and when I asked, I was just told they gave me as much as they could. Feels unfair and frustrating. I will be reporting to the bureau of education.

I was ready to be treated like an outcast like I have no business going back to school at my age!?!? I say I have been here for over a year and my life has drastically changed for the better, I cannot describe the positivity and the wonderful students and faculty I have come in contact with. I've been blessed with the most wonderful, understanding, and knowledgeable professors and that is one hundred percent the truth! I also hold a work-study position in the financial aid lab, OK I get it doesn't pay that well but with the fellow students I have the pleasure of working with it all seems to fit just right! Everyone in life will not have the same experience and not the same outcome, I am a prime example of this! I never took high school seriously and the grades I got back then couldn't get me a job selling oranges on a freeway, but this school helped me achieve my best and this is the 3rd semester in a row I have made the president's list! If I can give one piece of advice to a student and to the others who have given RACC a bad review, take a step back and think about YOUR part in YOUR journey. You're in control of who you are and sometimes in life, we make choices we wish we wish we could change. Blaming other people gets you nowhere but on a website downing other people to make yourself feel better. I am not saying everyone is perfect and I am far from that! But, I want everyone to know what a GREAT COLLEGE this is, and no matter what the issue with your life and what you are struggling with, this school will help or point you in the direction to get the help with what you are struggling with!! I would not change my direction in life because I know I am right where I should be at this very moment!!! Thank you RACC for helping me to reach my full potential and to see what I never thought I could be!!!

Same day reservation made on the RC website with seats needing to be selected which in reality is highly unnecessary when you're going to see a niche show at 4-something on a weekday with ten other people. Parking is across the street in the garage. I guess at one time you either had to pay or some type of validation was needed but I saw nothing except wide open gates. When we got inside there was a clipboard with no pen next to the main register where you could put your name, make and plate info on there but if it's all open, why? As expected, it was a shit show to cross 2nd Street with all of the traffic but there really isn't a better way unless you can levitate or do a Tom Cruise Mission Impossible-esque run/jump across the street from the top of the garage. Typical of modern weekday movies, in principle you could have walked in without paying and seen the show for free. Only two visible employees. One was in the back of the snack area prepping something while on his phone and the other guy was at the register doing everything thing else. The show was the show. I've played the CD, watched the YouTube clips and seen the concert a million times. This was just bigger. No issues with the picture, sound or seat quality. Overall coming here was good enough, but in all honestly, first time and probably last time.

Unfortunately, the buffet was very disappointing. The scrambled eggs were overcooked and hard, the waffles were dry, the ham was also dry, and the bacon was cold. The pre-sliced turkey was probably the best item available, but overall, the food quality just didn't match the price point. For what this cost, we were especially surprised there wasn't even a carving station. The salad appeared to be a basic bagged mix, and the pastry selection was extremely limited (only two options), and didn't taste fresh. Desserts were also underwhelming--bite-sized brownies and mini cheesecakes that seemed store-bought and weren't quite the right texture--like they'd been frozen too long. On a positive note, the service was good--the staff was attentive and pleasant. Overall, this brunch felt overpriced for the quality and selection offered. We won't be returning, and if asked, I won't recommend it.

The service was fine, the bar was mostly empty, which is where we sat. It's a nice bar tbh. Perhaps it's sparsely populated on a Friday night for a reason? It's close and convenient so I'll probably come back, hopefully it will be a better experience. I won't be ordering fish and chips if I do come back.

I usually sit toward the front right side of the venue, where the view is clear and unobstructed by the structure it really feels like there isn't a bad seat in the house. There are several bars and snack stands throughout the venue, plus a small area for merch tables, so everything you need is within easy reach.
