100/10! Attached to the Comfort suites which was a bonus! My daughter is in a wheelchair and the hostess was so sweet and didn't blink an eye. Sometimes we are made to feel like an issue but at Santana's they were so kind and accommodating. Especially since there are stairs. She wheeled us right through the kitchen! It is a huge restaurant (deceiving!) and lots of seating. Our waitress Diamond was so sweet and on top of everything. Now the food... OUTSTANDING! The flavor was so good, as were the portion sizes! The chips were warm and the salsa tasted so fresh and made in house. The margaritas were excellent as well. Fair prices and great meals and service- hidden gem for sure! read more

Santana's for lunch on a Saturday hit the spot. The five dollar drink specials including mimosas & bloody Mary's hit the spot. The service was spot on from the time we walked in til the time we left. The steak tips I ordered were delicious along with the garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. This place has a relaxing ambiance to it. The menu here is massive and offers a little bit of everything for everybody's tastebuds. The parking lot here is large so that shouldn't be an issue. Good job Santana's! read more

I've been to this restaurant a couple different times but it's been a few years. Came here on a Saturday around 1pm before heading to Martinsville where there aren't many options . I actually found out that the same place is now in Martinsville which I've been too before as well but forgot the name. I was happy to see there happy hour specials and even more happy to actually get the large glass of blood Mary and the mini bottle of champagne with the mimosa for the price of $5. My pollo felize was okay. My husband tried the steak bite lunch special and my nephew got an ACP add zucchini. The server was very nice . It started getting a little crowded as we were there but the server was still attentive and others assisted us as well. read more

Service was horrible and walked out after waiting 15+ minutes for someone to even come to the table to tale a drink order. Someone dropped off chips and salsa when we were first seated and then nothing. Multiple people walked past our table and never checked to see if we were serviced. The place was EMPTY! I literally saw 5 waiters come out to sing happy birthday to a table and still no one checked. They all just went to the back talking. Left and went down the hill to Los Tres and was serviced immediately and told drink specials. read more

I'm writing this review to let professional women traveling alone and staying at the Comfort Inn they should never go to Santana's bar after 9pm, or at all. I have been in Danville the last couple of weeks staying at the Comfort Inn and had been going to Santanas for dinner while visiting. Until last night everything was good, nice people, attentive bartender who provided good service. However, last night changed all of that and I want to send a warning to everyone thinking of stepping foot in this establishment, especially the bar. I came back from a day trip visiting a surrounding city and arrived about 9:30pm I decided to go to Santanas for a nightcap. After FaceTiming my boyfriend and friends back home, a conversation between myself and the gentleman next to me ensued. Discussing sport teams and common jobs, a couple walked in and sat across the bar and ordered drinks. I thought nothing of it or even really noticed them. The gentleman and I continued our conversation when the man a crossed the bar got up moved toward the end of the bar, looked at me and said "you're married aren't you". I tried to ignore him because I could tell he was drunk. He continued to repeat himself raising his voice until the other men and myself could no longer ignore him. At this point, he said "you want that p***y popped don't you"? I was so shocked by this mans unwarranted disgusting comments and completely intruding on a strangers innocent conversation. The man continued to insult, berate me with disgusting comments and harassed me nonstop. He continued to say I wanted my P***y popped and went on to say that my husband was going to beat my ass when I get home. Please note, I'm not married, Then he began to tell me how the two gentlemen next to me were going to f**k me in the a** all night and I'm going to wake up with a sore little P***y. To my complete horror, and disbelief one of the other men at the bar fist pumped him and they laughed together. I asked the bartender, who has taken care of me all this week, who was present and heard all of it to help me and he did nothing to stop the disgusting harassment by the other customer. The bartender completely ignored me and said nothing to the man yelling at me saying vile comments. However, he did hear me ask for my tab. This man continued to say I was going to get my ass beat when I get home, Also, the man I was speaking with did nothing. He got his check and tried to leave as soon as he could, In addition, the woman with the man, who was screaming at me was laughing. The bartender got me my tab and I left immediately, however I was extremely scared because I had to walk by this couple to exit. I thought for sure when I walked past them and down the stairs I was going to be physically assaulted as well. Thank God, I wasn't and got back to my room. I truly believe if I was assaulted none of the staff would have intervened and I would have been left with no help from either of the two men at the bar or bartender who I befriend durning my stay, Needless to say, I will never step foot in that establishment ever again, and unfortunately probably will not stay at the Comfort Inn again, even thought the staff here is amazing, it is to close to Santana's customer base and careless staff. I'm no longer comfortable. I'm writing this only to let professional women traveling alone on business and visiting Danville, VA, to stay as far away from Santanas bar as possible, you are not safe and they will do nothing to protect you from disgusting assaults from their drunk patrons. Please visit other establishments....I would suggest Golden Leaf, Franks, Cotton or basically anywhere else but Santanas. I hate writing this because I was enjoying my time here until this horrible experience but I feel I need to say something. I don't want this to happen to any other single professional woman traveling by themselves while having to work in Danville, VA. I'm horrified this happen and do not want anyone else to have to go through what I did last night. read more

Service was fine, food was inedible. Ordered the ribeye & shrimp, medium rare. It was burnt to beef jerky status and probably because how can you not with a "ribeye" steak that was literally on 1/4 inch thick. Hubby ordered steak fajitas for 2 and his was also cooked beyond being able to chew. Needless to say we ate nothing, paid the bill and said "NO" for to go boxes. First and last visit. read more

We came to the area on business and stayed at the hotel which this restaurant is attached. First I will say that I am pleasantly surprised with this restaurant and how professional and courteous they are. We didn't have a wait to be seated and no sooner seated these lovely golden crispy tortilla chips with salsa came out and our drinks followed. On both occasions we came our waiter and waitress was simply awesome! Very helpful with the specials and letting us know what their recommendations was which let me tell you was par on! The food came out fresh and hot not to mention plated well. Refills came without asking which is something I love especially when you are eating and low on your beverage. Inside is very clean and well kept as was the restroom. It's a nice size restaurant inside with a bar area and bar seating if you just want to have cocktails and hang out at the bar. The prices are very reasonable and the specials are pretty good which run Monday thru Friday so if you come check out the special of the day! read more

This has been our favorite for years!! We went tonight, got a waitress we have never seen or interacted with which was fine... I always order a dish and sub the rice and beans for grilled veggies. Tonight the entree that I ordered that was supposed to come with just rice came out with beans although I ordered grilled veggies. She rudely said there would be a upcharge for that, even though that's what i ordered to begin with! I said that's fine i don't care because I always order it that way. They took my whole plate away so I couldn't eat my other food while my family ate theirs. Someone finally dropped off my corrected food that was now cold other than the grilled veggies without a acknowledgment at all. I still said thank you and enjoyed part of my meal since the others were almost done. I'm not sure what I did wrong in this situation.. but it was clear this girl was upset. We come here 2 times a week and often order food Togo, too and have never had these issues... btw we still left her a 25% tip... I understand places are short handed but this girl made a mistake that could of been remedied easily without any problems. It happens but I still don't understand why it happened this way! Santana's is a suitable place to drink beer and watch sports. There is ample bar seating, they show American football on the television, mariachi music plays in the background, and there is a decent selection of draft beers. For $6.99 I received an enormous mug of Dos Equis Amber. The mug was roughly 30 ounces. Santana's is pretty good for a joint so far north of "the border." read more

This place is empty on a Saturday night and somehow the service is beyond slow. Waitperson spilled tea all over my wife and then took forever to come clean up. Then we were moved and ignored for far too long. Seems you would take extra care of a table at this point. Again, maybe 4 other tables in the whole restaurant and somehow took 30 minutes to get our food out after an hour already at the restaurant. Won't be back. Plenty of other Mexican restaurants much better than this. Food is fine, service us just terrible. read more

I don't leave bad reviews often but in this case I cannot rate this a 5 and it's sad because the food is great, everything I've tried here has been good. The service is absolutely the worst in Danville. I thought I'd give it another try because maybe the last two visits they were understaffed. This is not the case. I've sat at the bar instead of a table and the bar was empty of customers each time. The bartender there doesn't pay attention to the customers and you will wait at least 10 minutes to be noticed. I won't be coming back here. I honestly don't think the place will last, it's always empty when I've gone in and yet the service is still slow. Unacceptable. read more

I have to say I am impressed with the friendly staff here. They are always smiling and friendly. I've been visiting the area for a while now for work and the restaurant is attached to my hotel. It makes it easy to grab a bite to eat for lunch or dinner. They also have to-go which is great for those days you just don't want to sit in a restaurant. The price is great and the portion size is good, even for the to-go orders. Their drinks are also on point. If you are in the Danville area check it out.... This is not a Mexican restaurant. The menu has about 8 Mexican items, the rest are American. The service is awful. Both times I've been here there are only two people working in the whole restaurant. The food is mediocre and you have to wait too long for it. It's way too expensive for what you get. read more
