We had the best time. Because we wanted to birdwatch and had time constraint issues, Sue customized a tour for us. George took us up to an nature preserve (forgot the name) and the Audubon Center just north of Santa Fe. His knowledge of plants and animals extant in the area was amazing. Both Sue and George are such charming people. We had the best time ever. read more

I can't say enough about this amazing couple. We had an incredible hiking adventure with Georges. His energy is unparalleled. The hike was breathtaking, and George's' passion for nature and history added so much to our experience. He's amazing!! Sue is absolutely lovely and seamlessly organized everything. Thank you both so very much! Scotty, Ted and Mary Scott Brisson read more

George and Sue Mally are a class act and incredibly nice and enjoyable people to spend time with. If you desire to enjoy Santa Fe nature then you cannot go wrong heading out into the mountains with these super nice people. read more

I worked with Owen and Rowlie over at SFMA and they were fab. They were a total help, completely friendly, and tolerant of our last minute decision making. I would recommend them to anyone needing a team building in Santa Fe, and I certainly hope to use their services again, this time for something a little more, you know, adventure oriented. Cooking, even when the knives are sharp and you're using chiles, does not an adventure make. However, the event they set up for us over at the Santa Fe Cooking School was perfect and everyone had a blast. I'm a fan! read more

This is our first trip to Santa Fe. We were hoping for an outdoor excursion into the countryside. We used Yelp and found Santa Fe Walkabouts. A couple of conversations with Sue and we were booked to go! Courtney met us at our hotel right on time and she was the perfect guide for our party of four. We are all in our sixties and in good shape and this hike was perfectly suited to our abilities and pace. Our guide was relaxed and knowledgeable about our destination and was a wonderful driver to boot! We highly recommend this business and only hope you have as much fun as we did! Thanks Sue and a special thanks to Courtney. read more

What a fun two hours!!!! George was so nice he was the travel guide!!! So nice he took pictures of us and told us about the places he was taking us!! It was a fun trip totally would. Recommend this aventure read more

Disappointed in this tour. While riding in the vehicle and the off roading was fun, it wasn't much of a tour. Did not learn much, other than history of the vehicle. Did not think I received my money's worth and regret it a bit. Owner and spouse were nice but overall underwhelming experience. Update: the history and riding in vehicle was interesting but history of where we were would have been equally appreciated . read more

Awesomely the best thing to do when in Santa Fe! We have been every year we are in town, and Georges still finds new stuff to see! read more

Georges was a wonderful, patient, and knowledgeable guide who really made our experience in Santa Fe memorable. We hired Georges for both hiking and mountain biking on separate occasions and had an excellent adventure each time. The experience was made easy and smooth with advanced billing for the excursion (5 minutes over the phone) and professional service on the day of the adventure, which included prompt pick-up at our hotel and fine tune adjustments to our mountain bikes before departure. Georges adapted himself to each rider's level and made further accommodations during the trip to make everyone's experience an excellent one. read more

Sue organized a great trip and even worked with with when we had changes. George was a pleasure and added just the right amount insight and local knowledge-highly recommend the Bandelier, Pueblo lunch an pottery demonstration. It was full and fulling day...great cultural experience and everyone we meet was wonderful! read more

Georges is a consummate Professional & a special person as well! He took my wife & I to Bandolier & to Taos Pueblo which was beautiful & educational; Bandolier is not to be missed... Sue planned both tours perfectly down to the minute & Georges executed both perfectly. He knows all the folks around & after 11 years touring has a great depth of knowledge about the areas visited. We highly recommend him & his company without reservation... read more

I'd never been to Santa Fe before and arrived several days before the rest of my group of friends were to meet. While not many of them like to hike, I do. The concierge at my hotel suggested calling Santa Fe Walkabouts to arrange for a guided hike in the Santa Fe environs. George and Sue Mally are a great team and I highly recommend their company, Santa Fe Walkabouts, for anyone who wants to explore the area with a knowledgeable guide. After hearing about my general health, age and capabilities, Sue suggested a full day's drive to Abiquiu, a hike up to Chimney Rock, a look at Echo Amphitheater, a picnic lunch and then a stop back at the Pueblo to learn a little about where Georgia O'Keeffe lived and worked. George was a great guide and I had a fabulous day enjoying the unique landscape and learning about everything from the flora and fauna to Santa Fe history. I had a fantastic day and only wish I could have arranged some more days with Santa Fe Walkabouts! Wendy B. Ellwood City, PA read more

This is the 3rd time in about 5 years I've logged into Yelp to write a review so you know it has to be good! That said, I could not be happier with every aspect of our Pinzie tour with Sante Fe Walkabouts. From working with Sue (so patient with me as I coordinated 20 feral cat-type colleagues), to the vehicles, to the guides (Seth and..... another whose name I shamefully have forgotten a week after the fact - sorry!) to catering to our bathroom break needs and even dropping us off at a different location than our hotel pick up point. Even the most reserved, least adventurous people in the group admitted they had fun on our sunset excursion! I'll be sure to tell anyone headed your way to schedule a tour of any kind with you! read more

First off, this is not something you plan at the last minute. That said, they bent over backwards to fit us in the week after Christmas. Great communication. Fritz arrived and with minimal paperwork we were on our way snowshoeing. He did a great job planning the hike and gauging our ability to tackle some more challenging paths. We had a fantastic time. Not cheap but it's not an activity you want to try for the first time on your own. read more

When Fritz pulled up to our vacation rental in Santa Fe, the kids went nuts. The ride starts immediately and got quite bouncy once we were off road. The seats next to the cab are the most stable, my kids practically hung out the back to "get some air." Everyone wears a seatbelt at all times, so make sure you're comfy. The sights are amazing as well as the Santa Fe wildlife. Next time we'll definitely add the hike. Our kids - ages 8-13 - gave it two thumbs up. read more

This tour company picks up in front of la Fonda hotel and does a 90 minute ride in an open jeep style to look out points. We wanted something that included a hike and by calling in advance booked a hike in the national forest and came back for the next scheduled tour. Fritz took us on a hike by the natural stream and we were able to see natural cactus and flowers and Douglas fir on a shaded path to experience the natural New Mexico. This is a great find that others are looking for. They just added this modification to add the hike so you need to ask for it specifically to reserve in advance. read more

Sue and Georges are amazing human beings and will do a fantastic job of taking care of you, whether you want to bike up a mountain, go off roading into the desert, hike to great heights or get driven to the top of a mesa for the sunset. Always insightful, they spend their spare moments looking for new intriguing experiences to share. We've travelled all over the world and used guides mostly in Asia where we didn't feel we could get around well by ourselves, so working with them was a luxury for us and one we are SO glad we chose to do. Enjoy! read more

Went on a tour to Puye Cliff dwellings on the Santa Clara Pueblo today with Scott and had an amazing time! The guided tour of the Puye Cliff dwellings was led by a Santa Clara native who was very informative and gave great insight into what life was like in the dwellings. They allow you to explore inside some of the dwellings and get up close to the petroglyphs. We had some extra time, so Scott took us down to Santa Clara. We met some very friendly local potters, Sammy Naranjo and Melony Gutierrez, who taught us about how the local pottery is made. Overall a great day!! read more

Georges and Sue are truly the best tour guides in the state! I highly recommend Santa Fe Walkabouts!

Fun tour to take. Good little history of some of the off-the-beaten trail. The vehicle is fun, but I was expecting a little more off-road driving and adventure. It's a pretty quiet drive. But the icing on the cake is the view from the peak of the drive. Beautiful Santa Fe, gotta love it!!! read more

Great tour with Georges on the Wild West Safari. We were able to see some of the wild horses on the high plateau and amazing desert landscapes. This is the kind of tour you could not do on your own.. first, you wouldn't know where to go, and you could not get access to some areas. And without the right vehicle and knowledge of the terrain you would never make it. Georges is extremely knowledgeable about the area's history and you can tell he enjoys what he does. So well worth the cost. read more

Sue and Georges are amazing and knowledgeable hosts. We had a wonderful time visiting Tsankawi and Chimayo. They are prompt when emailing, incredibly personable, and flexible...so basically all you could ask for from tour guides. I highly recommend Santa Fe Walkabouts if you are looking to get to know NM for the first time or see a familiar place in a new way. read more

Our trip from the Plaza through Tesuque to the Sangre de Cristo Mountains was one of the most enjoyable experiences we had while on our first trip to Santa Fe. Seth was our driver. He has only been with the company a few months but he was an excellent guide. My two sisters and I booked the off-road and hiking tour. Seth picked us up at our hotel and from the first moment, his goal was to ensure we have a good time. He went so far as to drive through McDonald's twice so I could get a drink. They gave us the wrong drink the first time. Seth was very knowledgable about the area and provided us with a wealth of information. If I come back to Santa Fe again I would definitely book another trip with Santa Fe Walkabouts. read more

The highlight of our vacation to Santa Fe this summer was our hiking trip with Santa Fe Walkabouts. The perfectly customized experience started with the detailed and prompt communication we received while planning our trip by phone and email. Thanks to the many options and recommendations we received we were able to pick a hike that was perfect in length and difficulty. Our guide Georges was friendly, knowledgable, and passionate about the outdoors. The hike itself was beautiful and the packed lunch they provided was delicious. We could not have asked for a better guide or overall experience. read more

Spent Saturday trying to book a tour out of town for Sunday, see some scenery and rural homes to no avail. Fast forward to Sunday and we ran across Robert and the 4x4 and he took us on a tour up dirt roads and over to see St. Francis's digs and the Blood of Christ Mountains. Knowledgeable and patient, Robert gives great tour! read more
