I have only been in-store a couple of times while visiting Indiana, but on multiple occasions I…read moreused Jenkins for plants and flower arrangements to be delivered to my in-laws and every single time their customer service was bar none. I'm sure that's due to their country roots, Indiana charm and small town service!! On a couple of occasions they even called us across country to let us know the folks weren't home and they would try again either that day or the following day. The biggest reason aside from customer service is their beautiful plans and arrangements that they grow right on site. They are undoubtedly the most hearty plants I've ever seen and have lasted my in-laws literally years, with the right care of course. I would highly recommend Jenkins for delivery in Southern Indiana, and if you're ever in the area, they have a lovely gift shop to browse and shop at, as well as getting the opportunity to see they're expansive greenhouses.

Got a case of some serious spring fever and decided last minute to go on a hunt for some flowers to…read moreplant. My husband, having grown up around here, suggested we go to Masterson's in Lamar. This place is GREAT!! There are maybe 4 or 5 large green houses, each with different types of flora, shrubs, herbs, vegetables, indoor plants, trees and more, not to mention all of the trees, bushes, planting materials, landscaping materials, etc. I was on a hunt for some random flowers and some very specific berry trees and after asking for some help since I am VERY uneducated as to what to plant in the land of fertile soil and green grass, they were more than able to accommodate me with. Not only did I get some great help but I was well educated on the topic of growing berries and was actually talked out of buying my blueberry bushes...WAIT...they talked me out of spending $$ there?? How cool is that!! The reason being is because *take note here* blueberries need 2 different varieties in order to allow for cross-pollination. Huh!! Cool info!! I ended up not purchasing because 2 plants were pretty pricey. Next pay day. Any who...I was impressed with the fact that I wasn't being talked into anything! The reason I gave it a 4 is because the prices are a bit high for what I am used to but it certainly won't stop me from returning. Great place!!

The staff was very very helpful and they created the most amazing arrangement for me. The quality…read moreof the flowers was impressive and the arrangement looked brand new at 10 days. The cost was good for the flowers that were used and the quality of them. The shop also had many gift items to choose from for all occasions.

A $60 plus delivery fee bouquet of flowers was ordered, from this establishment for our 85-year-old…read moremom for Mother's Day. The flowers arrived in a 3.5-inch wide vase filled with so much filler you couldn't even pull it out of the vase without cutting them. The attached picture will show the filler material in a plastic grocery bag and as you can see, it is a ridiculous amount! Our mother called to complain to the owner as was her right to do so and the owner did send out another bouquet to rectify the situation. With this being said, mom was asked several questions regarding the order and if my sister (the one who ordered) had seen pictures of the flowers? Yes, she did see pictures and it was not to my sister's satisfaction. Then the owner asked if my sister's husband had seen the pictures and how did he feel about the flowers? He wasn't happy about them either...then the owner proceeds to tell our mother that she was over exaggerating the issue in regards to just how much filler, was used. I'm completely flabbergasted at this point and in absolute disbelief, that the owner of this business, even had the audacity to speak to an 85-year-old in this manner, totally disrespectful with our Mom! Like I said before, another bouquet was delivered and it was beautiful, however, that doesn't take away from the fact the way our mom was spoken to. Mom was so upset from the tone of voice that was used and inundated owner that she was reduced to tears! I assume mom thought the owner would've been grateful for the input and she would appreciate the feedback in order to use it as constructive criticism as well as a learning tool and prevent any other customer complaints. When the shop called to get directions again the person on the other end of the phone could hear mom in the background because she was crying and she apologized for mom being upset about this mess. I asked to speak with the owner and I was told that she was gone for the day and my message and number would be passed on to the owner the following day (10 business days ago.) I have yet to receive any call and to me, that speaks volumes! So, to the owner of the business, you will never again receive one red cent from this family again (which would be quite the sum of money from 5 children and one husband) who orders flowers on multiple occasions and for multiple people. If I cared enough about you I could go on and on about previous orders, countless calls guiding incompetent employees who can't find their way out of a wet paper bag and the attention span of a fruit fly. The simplest thing to do if you care at all, about your customers and recipients is A) Above all, costs, please do make 85 years old, mom's cry and insinuate they're lying. B) Make an attempt to at least call and apologize for making said person cry!
