I just arrived to pick up two pieces that were framed and get 3 pieces sized for framing. When I arrived customer #1 was already being helped. In addition, there was a sign hanging on the door that stated "one customer at a time." So, I sat outside the business, in the hall, on the chairs provided for waiting customers. I informed staff #1 that I was there for framing. Staff member #2 was also helping the same customer #1. After patiently waiting for 20 minutes, as they assisted customer #1; another customer #3 came into the business to be helped by the staff member #2. I walked inside of the business and asked if I should I have came inside because if staff member #2 was available for customer #3; then why wasn't he made available for me, customer #2. Instead I was allowed to wait - possibly be ignored when I think about how the staff members knew I was there and said nothing about having someone help me. I then requested my pieces, paid and shared that I will drive to LA to seek another framing business, hopefully, with better service, to frame my other pieces. Overall, good customer service is hard to fine. Or, was it because I'm Black and allowing me to wait was ok with you. However, when a white women or individuals without a darken pigmentation enters your establishment you will provide expedite quality service and share nice pleasantries. Your response to my statement - oh I'm so sorry. No! You are not sorry and you don't respect or appreciate all of customer's equally. I will not be recommending anyone to your business. read more

The owners Gil and Talissa and their staff reliably and conscientiously performed exceptional services to me in the re-framing of my 19th century European painting that bore a very modest frame that needed help. It was obvious that they love their work and are dedicated professionals. They were always patient in answering my inquiries, patient in the assiduous selection of a superb frame and matting compatible with the subject and colors and style of my art piece and very easy to work with during the whole process from beginning to end. Absolutely top tier in every aspect. Richard and Dyana have the perfect complimentary skill set that together make their creations fabulous. They also have a huge selection of frame samples and resources that provide the best possible outcome. It would be overwhelming if it were not for Richard's intuitive and creative eye that allows him to curate and suggest from that vast selection. I've never found that guidance pushy or in any way trying to impose his ideas but he truly listens to me and my wife and to the art we are having framed. The back and forth we've found is an enjoyable process. I've even brought things in after looking at his selections because of our discussions and his frame stock resources. That alone would be enough to recommend them highly but Dyana adds another subtle but oh so important element of craft and creativity once she gets her hands on all of the parts. Not only is the finished work exceptional but more than once she's taken an idea and used subtle techniques to enhance the result even more. I know the two of them work together on each piece and it is obvious from the result that the ideas Richard and I come up with are remembered and that vision and feeling gets translated to Dyana. There's lots to be said about experience and communication but it is easy to see how happy the two are to work together, how complimentary their skills are and how they use their many years of experience to produce such fine work. First of all, the owners are really wonderful and personable individuals. They're not just "all business," get in, get out kind of way, but they put an effort in learning your names, ask about how your vacation went, etc. They really know a lot about stretching, framing, etc., and they discuss your options with you with utmost patience, asking you questions like, "are you married to this frame," which really makes you rethink whether that particular one was THE one. I like their style. We had two large paintings (at different occasions) stretched and framed by them, and every time, it was a great experience. The guy even gave us a really good discount! He's so nice! We came back from our trip, and picked up our painting today, and we couldn't be happier. The alignment of the stretch on all sides is just perfect. So many frames to choose from! Richard is very helpful with deciding what will make the perfect final product; either by supporting a predetermined direction or making helpful suggestions when you have no idea what you are doing.
