They will also take your order before your tasting and have the food ready when you finish. They have a few picnic tables outside to eat at, though it was quite windy on the day we visited, so we opted to eat in the car. I've heard nothing but good things about these dumplings and we had to stop by as we were in the area. I had no idea it was on site of a winery. There is plenty of parking and it's a very short walk to the storefront. Menu is simple with a variety of dumplings to choose from and sides (salad or rice). We liked that you can pick multiple fillings for your order. We went with chicken and pork. You get one sauce per order, so we added an additional sauce because we wanted to try the spicy vs non spicy option. We were given a pager and were told it would be about 15 mins. Drinks are also available for purchase. There is no indoor seating, but picnic tables and Adirondack chairs are available. We really enjoyed our lunch with a view. The seating area overlooks the vineyard and a small pond, creating a lovely picturesque view. The outdoor seating patio also has a shaded area which we took advantage of. The food was truly worthy of the hype. These dumplings were some of the best we have ever had. The filling was plentiful and flavorful. One of my favorite aspects of the dumplings were the crispy bottom. The sauces helped to enhance the experience. The spicy sauce was not too hot. The perfect amount of heat. The rice paired well with the dumplings and we ordered another large count for our group after devouring the first batch. These dumplings will be hard to forget and while it is a drive, I know we will be back. Our visit to San's Dumpling is one of my favorite dining experiences of the year so far. read more

We're obsessed with dumplings. We got so happy when my husband found this place. Serendipity! They were really nice. We decided to get the medium dumplings with half chicken and half pork. OMG!! They were some of the best dumplings that we've ever had and we've had a lot of dumplings. Haha both were really good. I preferred the chicken and my husband preferred the pork. They were really meaty and cooked perfectly. The shells were really thick. We loved them. If you love dumplings, you must try them. Your taste buds will thank you. Sans Dumplings was suggested to us by a friend from the area. It was not super obvious from the main road where it is located but we were pleasantly surprised to see it next to a winery. We each ordered the small chicken dumpling meal and waited for about 15 mins. The space only offers to-go orders unless it's a nice day, in which case you can sit at the outdoor tables. The dumplings and rice were absolutely delicious! They are large and very filling, plus the sauce totally completed the meal. The service was also so welcoming. After hiking the gorge in Watkins Glen this was the perfect dinner. Sauce spicy or non both very flavorful! Now that we know about this hidden gem we will be back. The food is really good, especially for this area-to be honest, this area is a pretty barren place for most Asian cuisine. The dumplings were hot, well made and plentiful. We had the family meal, both chicken & pork dumplings as well as an order of the curry chicken Bao buns. The dipping sauce could've been a bit spicier and more vinegary, but that's a small quibble. The hours of operation are pretty narrow, so between that and only outdoor seating at the winery, I took off one star. Definitely worth the ride down the lake to check it out. read more

They have outdoor seating a plus. You can either call in your order or go in an order. You will be standing around but it's ok. It's run by the wife of the vineyard her her assistant. The owner )of the vineyard) was actually sitting in the back eating the dumplings. Get you some..they are fabulous We got the combo plate with is six dumplings with rice and salad and choice of sauce for the dumplings. The dumplings are absolutely scrumptious and you can also order some to cook at home. Also you can pick up a bottle of wine in the spot too from the vineyard. So please give them a whirl. Delicious dumplings that I recommend for anyone passing through while on a Finger Lakes excursion. I previously reviewed the owner's husband winery Kemmeter and mentioned the dumplings as it did not have a Yelp listing at the time. I am excited to see Sans Dumpling taking off with its own listing. Several visits later and Sans is still a must do on my trip to the Finger Lakes. The owner is very friendly, and the dumplings always come out delicious. I always burn my tongue here because I just can't wait to get my hands on the dumplings. My girlfriend and I love getting a mix of chicken and pork long with Bao Buns on the side. We love to order dumplings and sit outside alongside the vineyard soaking in views of the property. Unfortunately, you can't enjoy wine from the property on-site, but the restaurant has a great selection of soft drinks to choose from to wash the food down. You don't need to schedule a tasting or even be a wine lover to dine at the restaurant. If you are in the area craving something different, you won't regret the food at Sans!
