I rarely write reviews, and i do it if i feel it is NOT just one another alternative. Last year, i came to know my tax filing was not correct with my foreign account holdings, and it really made me nervous. Talked to multiple CPA offices, and finally, when i spoke with Mr. Sanjiv, he explained every detail on what needs to be done with the compliance procedure, and i instantly decided to go with them. They really have the deep understanding on how the taxes work with the Indian accounts and in fact helped me how to get those details from Indian financial institutes. Next part is, Ms Kalpana from their Pleasanton office was so helpful in educating me as she was working on multiple IRS forms for the last few years. At one point, when their office was shut for visitors due to Covid, Kalpana went one step ahead, and scheduled a quick meet up outside our residence to get some forms signed. Big shout! Kudos! It didn't end there. This year, as some of my foreign tax forms reached me just a week ago prior to the deadline, she understood my situation, and was so patient in going through all the statements from several statements with multiple accounts, and finalized the return documents, which she is above to file. I can't think of any better alternative option for my tax filing going forward. She has lot of passion, and whenever i reached for some info, she was always there to help. No wonder, some times, i received her reply to my tax queries even after 11pm in the night. Overall, its really nice experience working with Sanjiv Gupta's office for my tax returns. read more

Took a consultation with Sanjiv. Very unprofessional attitude. 1. He came 15 minutes late for the appointment and did not apologize either. We had to push out our other appointments. 2. We shared the list of questions beforehand but he did not read any of that. He asked the same info we stated in the documents we submitted. 3. His answers were one word at best, and he was judging and ridiculing some life decisions we were making. Dont waste your time and money. read more

Caution with other 5 star reviews, they seem internal employees rating them to keep their overall rating high. They only provide standard tax filing which anyone can do using TurboTax. Hiring a tax professional, one expects that they provide advise on how to save on taxes and gives you strategy for the following year. Here you pay $500 to file taxes and once filed they dissappear, multiple emails go unanswered and no courtesy of providing responses or tax saving strategies. I'd rather pay 80$ to turbo tax since they come up with the same numbers anyways with 0 value add for filling with them. read more

Not at all happy with my video call, very eager to take your money ($150 for 30 mins) but came late, didn't answer anything properly or with any detail, rushed me to end the call early, Was constantly looking at the time. Will leave you hanging to deal with the IRS yourself. Don't go unless you are a full service client looking for them to run your payroll. 1) They screwed up my filing and the IRS and California FTB payments did not go on time, but no acknowledgement of the problem or what to do next. 2) Very unresponsive to several calls to their office. I ended up being charged and paying a hefty penalty of $1,333 and am left dealing directly with the IRS and CA FTB now since Sanjiv's office have been absolutely unresponsive. 3) Multiple calls to their Fremont office and the answer is that Sanjeev is out of office and we will get back to you. This guy has offices in 4 different cities of bay area, and charged me top dollar for a consultation. And all he did was waste the time while he was driving from one city to another (perhaps to his office). I heard the car and freeway sounds while he was talking to me. He could not focus on my consultation - Behaved just like how lawyers behave in india. All the information he told me was already known as it is easily available on web. Total waste of my time and money. Maybe he is better if he works on your case, but consultation would be a waste of your time and money.
