    La Piñata Payaso - Sue

    La Piñata Payaso

There's nothing like feeling like a kid! Darth Vader?? Yes! A Soccer Ball?? Nice. Nacho…read moreLibre?! Cool! I'm not pre-maturely making my Christmas list. I was at La Piñata Payaso & was in the jam-packed world of piñatas! We're giving a going away party for a friend, and we thought it'd be a cool idea to get a piñata. Now I drive through Pasco a bit, and I had remembered seeing a small store with piñatas a while back. I now had a reason to check it out. I first called the place, "Buenas", said the woman on the line. "Hey, I was wondering how late you are open", I asked. "Momento" After this I talked with a kid. He told me the hours, and answered my question about piñata pricing. The kid hooked me up with my questions, but it was sounding like I might need to put my minimal Spanish skills to the test---this was sounding like a cool trip! Upon arrival at the store, we were stoked to see a grip of HUGE pinatas outside the store: a pair of dinosaurs, a Power Ranger, Spider Man, and a herd of horses. Then we went inside. Piñatas filled this place up the ying yang! It was so fun. We scammered through the small store and checked out all the cardboard & paper creations. It was also fun to try and figure out what some of the piñatas were. We had a Nemo (clown fish), Sleeping Beauty, Corona beer bottle, soccer ball, Optimus Prime, Dora the Expora, Spongebob, a car, Shrek, and then a whole bunch of stars with little pictures on them. I had a smile plastered on my face as I scanned and scurried around the store, bumping my head into a few piñatas along the way. We ultimately settled on a brown dinosaur. It was about 3.5-4' tall. We called her Sue. And get this, Sue only cost $25!! What a deal! So these piñatas come un-filled. You have to perform some surgery on your piñata to find the hole to fill it. The boy showed us where the hole should be. They also sell "piñata poles" here as well (they looked like decorated dowel rods). Piñatas aren't all that they sell here. This is a party supply store. We saw lots of Mexican candy, wrapping paper, and all sorts of other party favors. Their card also shows those big bouncy houses. It definitely looks like a mom & pop operation, and that's what makes this place so cool. Can't wait to get my next piñata.

If you & your friends (or family!) are looking for a fun & creative way to spend time together,…read morethen The Painted Syrah is for you! I've attended two events with The Painted Syrah & I had a blast at both! I was a little apprehensive the first time I went, but Sarah is a terrific teacher & quickly alleviated the anxiety I had about not knowing how to paint! All of the supplies are included in your event fee, so you just show up, sit down & get to painting! Both of the events I attended were at local restaurants, so my friends & I ordered some food (and wine!) to enjoy while we painted! In addition to being a very talented artist, it's obvious Sarah is comfortable working with all types of people! There were over fifteen people in the first party I attended & I was thoroughly impressed with Sarah's ability to instruct such a large group & provide individual assistance to everyone throughout the evening. She has great tips for beginners (like me!) & knows how to fix any type of beginner's boo-boos (like mine!). The Painted Syrah is a Tri-Cities' treasure & Sarah has a gift for making sure everyone takes home a masterpiece & a smile!

She was so patient…read moreand even though busy with us all asking her to show us how to do this and that she did so with a smile and friendly chatter. The one problem I had was it was too close for comfort, we were literally packed in like sardines, elbows bumping and had to be extra careful as not to spill anything, yikes, paint spills would not be good. It wasn't possible to avoid a cough in the face even if you tried. I'd like to attend more of these but I'm not too keen on that setup. But if you're okay with it, then you really need to go, even if you've never painted before like me, she makes it so easy. You'll come home with your masterpiece and feel really proud of yourself, lol, you really will.

I waited patiently at the front where she left me standing, when she came back she asked with attitude (which ones did you want to see?) I pointed out at some and she started to hit the piñatas roughly side to side, giving me vibes she was upset for helping me. I wanted to tell her why she was being so rude but I wasn't about to start arguing or calling managers on anyone so I just stayed quite. Worst experience I ever had. No one deserves to be treated this way. I don't recommend this store to no one but do recommend going next door to supermex since they have the same merchandise and are same owners. They are a lot nicer and helpful there. Regret going to the other store first. Please don't walk into store and be a karen, instead go on google and make a review, so it can help other people that are looking for recommendations online.

I have to tell you about the horrific customer service experience I've ever had. I am in shock and…read moreI need your help to spread the word. We reserved a party time at Bouncing Around LLC. The initial customer service was pretty ehhh, not helpful, not warm, but I was going to just ignore that. We showed up to the party and again, the service was pretty meh. The ladies up front acted like we were a burden on them. Determined to have a great birthday party for my daughter, I just let it go and everyone started playing. We had issues with some of the toys. One of the bouncy things was set up for laser tag and they had laser guns for the kids to play with. I guess they didn't like the kids running around with the guns so they took them away. I can even overlook that, because if they aren't playing 'right' then fine, take them away. Here's where things get interesting. At the end of the party, I wanted to find out what had happened with the laser guns, since the kids were really bummed out that they had been taken away. I went to the back to find the employee, and I found her sweeping off the table cloth with a broom. Yes, SWEEPING the tablecloth. This was a cheap plastic party table cloth. Gross, right? Again, I was going to let it slide because I didn't want a big ordeal. I asked her what had happened with the guns. She told me ( in a rude voice!) that three times she had asked the kids to stop putting the toys on the floor and then she took them away. Ok, I kind of get that. Maybe she doesn't realize that children, aged almost 2 - 10, tend to just drop thing and run to the next thing when they are excited. I told her that I understood that, even though I thought it was ridiculous and out of line for a party place. I then said "I just wanted to tell you that I am very unhappy with the service at this place and we won't be back." She said that she had had enough of me and that I needed to leave. I mentioned that that was the first I had ever talked to her so I didn't know what she was talking about. She said she had had enough of me and that I had been nasty and had written a long nasty note on her facebook page and that I needed to leave. I told her that I had never written anything on her on her page and had never talked to her before, except to schedule the party. She then got incredibly hostile, told me to leave and that she was going to call the cops. I said I was leaving and that was unnecessary. She started towards the front of the store, angrily, saying that she was calling the cops and I had better get off of her premises. I left as quickly as possible. I do not understand the nastiness that this woman had over my telling her that I was unhappy with the service. It is hard to hear that something isn't right, but to become hostile and threatening over a very calmly expressed complaint is completely out of line. Spend your money elsewhere.

On 12/26/13, I looked at BouncingAround.net (their website) and showed my kids that we were…read moreplanning on going there the following day (today). I looked at the prices on the website and it states that Fridays from 11-2 are $5/child (which was very exciting for a family of 4 children). Above that price listing is a notice that says "Indoor Daily Specials*** Please check our facebook page for daily price and time changes". Why have a time and price "calendar" on your website if you're just going to change it on your facebook? What about people who don't use facebook? So I went to the facebook page yesterday after I noticed that section...The only prices I saw on there was the post from December 9th which showed Friday 11-2 was $5. The last few times we had been to Bouncing Around, there were 6 bounce "houses" or areas and totally worth the time and money. We arrived at 11am to find out not only did they take out 3 of the (better) bounce areas but also raised the price to $10/kid AND if they wanted to do the laser tag it was going to be $15/kid. I asked why they didn't have the new prices listed on their website, and she said "well you have to check facebook." So while I was standing there (before I paid), I checked their facebook and sure enough - the new "holiday" prices were on there, but posted at 8pm on 12/26/13. I mentioned to her that the only other prices that have been posted are from December 9th and she said "Oh, we posted the prices since then but I deleted that post last night." I don't understand how you could RAISE the price and take out bouncy areas...and then in the area where you took the others out you put in a laser area that you have to pay even MORE to play in?! That is just plain ridiculous. My kids were SO excited to go back to play at Bouncing Around instead of going to the packed Get Air trampoline park in Kennewick. After 25 minutes at Bouncing Around this morning, my kids were absolutely bored...but I didnt even want to ask for a refund because I'm sure we wouldn't have received one...I forced my children to figure out a way to play on the 3 areas that were available to them so we didn't waste $40. By noon, my kids were sitting around and having melt downs because they didn't have anything else to do. I wasn't going to pay the extra $5 each ($20 more) to put in laser tag. I am highly disappointed in this company and don't plan on going back. I hope someone (other than the person I had to deal with this morning who was not very nice) will contact me. Also, be sure to bring your own water in your car. They do not have a water fountain or offer free water to thirsty children. They do, however, have bottled water you can purchase for $1 each. I had my children get water from our vehicle and they had to stand outside the business door (in foggy 30 degree weather) because they do not allow outside food or drinks. And now I see around noon they posted on their Facebook that "parents are free!"...thank you for mentioning that to me while I was there (sarcasm). I would have loved to play with my kids and help them not be so bored.
