I was thoroughly skeptical that hypnotherapy could help me, especially via Skype, but I was tired of waking up so often in a state of sick dread. I did one session with Dafna about nine months ago, and hand to God I haven't had an attack since. It's not like I'm never anxious anymore, but I don't wake up with that paralyzing fear, nausea, and tension. I have no idea why it worked, but it did, and I've told everyone I know about it. She sent me the session and the suggestions so I can listen if I need to reinforce the treatment. I haven't needed to yet, but I'm glad to know it's there. For people who have never tried hypnotherapy - I thought it would be like a total trance, like the movies, "cluck like a chicken" and all that. It's really just like a deep guided meditation. I answered some questions, and then listened to her suggestions, and that was it. It's very relaxing and gentle.

Working with Jamie for life coaching was such a blessing for me. She helped me to focus on what I…read morewanted and worked with me to make a plan of action to get it. Before I did life coaching I wanted to start a YouTube channel. I had sat on this idea for 2 years and never moved forward with it. I mentioned it to Jamie in our first life coaching session and that week I filmed my first video. Every week since then I have filmed something and put it out into the world. I am so thankful that Jamie gave me that final push I needed to run towards my goals. Jamie helped me to hold myself accountable and was aways there for me to report to when I accomplished a goal we set. She always helped me to set up goals for myself for the week and didn't let me stand in my own way. She used her skills to talk me through my seas of doubt and got me on the other side of it. This gave me tools I can use going forward to overcome these moments on my own. Tools I can use my whole lifetime. She really cares about helping people and loves seeing the affect she has on you in the coaching. She celebrates your victories with you and helps you to recognize what obstacles are in your way when needed. She kept everything progressing forward with my goals and I know I am on the road to success because of all of the time I spent with Jamie. 10 out of 10 would recommend working with her as a life coach. She has a way of pushing you softly towards your goals. She helps to ignite the fire in you and get it burning towards achieving your dreams.

Very dissappointing. Having moved back home I needed to find a new primary care physician. My…read morefamily recommended that I see Dr. Williamson since they think highly of him. I had my initial appointment in January, but only after I was screened over the phone for any serious medical issues, which thankfully I am a relatively healthy person, otherwise I'd be out of luck. Seems to be the going trend now for health care. As long as you don't have any health issues you can be accepted as a new patient. At my first appointment there ever, I was asked to pay my copayment prior to even seeing the doctor, which I thought was pretty tacky. I guess it didn't matter whether service was provided first or even if I wanted to continue seeing the doctor. So much for bedside manners. Like the "Type A" person that I am, I brought all of my medications with me for the clinic to document to make sure they had accurate information for my refills. The nurse wrote them down in the computer and we even went in depth about one of them. I met with Dr. Williamson and he was a very good listener and had good credentials (Punahou grad, etc.) and he was also very honest, helpful, and direct, which I appreciate. My problem with KMC is not with Dr. Williamson, but with his staff. I have had so many issues with my medical records, communication, and tasks needed in such a short amount of time, that unfortunately, I am shopping around for a more efficient clinic. And, I really liked Dr. Williamson too! These are the problems I have faced with this clinic: -Inaccurate documentation of my presciptions despite bringing in my medication. -lack of urgency in refilling my presciptions. Pharmacy reported to me it was not received for over a week or two (I had to email the office to remind them). -playing phone tag: nurse will leave a message but nothing specific for me to respond to. -lack of urgency in sending important documents to other treating physicians who need the forms prior to medical appointments off island. -lack of good communication in-house. Information/tasks provided to receptionist was not relayed to or comprehended accurately by other staff members, which delayed other medical procedures (I provided fax numbers, yet I get phone calls for the fax number again). -lack of good customer service. Even though I hand-delivered a form for a signature I needed from the doctor for an Oahu appointment, which he was aware of receiving, the office staff refused to ask him to sign it because he was with a patient (It's one signature for crying out loud!). The signature would have been completed in 2 seconds and I could have faxed the form myself to Oahu. I just found out its been a week and half and it's still has not been received. Ugh! So, you can see my frustration with this clinic. I could possibly be the only person that has this issue here, but I doubt that I am an anomaly. I hope that this review helps others when they are looking for good heathcare. Support staff is an integral part in how an office/clinic runs and it is unfortunate that these issues occur because they are fixable. I hope that the clinic is able to make positive changes to their practice if they become aware of this review.

This review is about the Waimea branch front desk/reception service (medical services), not about…read morethe doctors or other staff. I had called several times over the period of 2-3 weeks without having my call answered. I understand that they are probably busy and may also be understaffed so that is actually not my complaint about the Waimea Kauai Community Health Center/Ho'ola Lahui Hawaii; it was the poor front desk service. I'm from here, but have never gone to this clinic before. From what I had seen on their website, it seemed like it was open to anyone in the community, which is why I wanted to try scheduling an appointment there in the first place. I called one last time (with the intention of going directly to try to schedule an appointment), when the call was answered. Happy to have gotten in touch with someone, I politely inquired about scheduling an appointment. The receptionist was impatient and rude (when I said that neither of the doctors were my primary care physician, she snapped "You do know we're in Waimea, right?"), which was disappointing considering it is part of Ho'ola's mission to be a "model health care system distinguished by people, quality, and service." It seemed like it was a hassle for the receptionist to ask me the few simple questions that she did, and it felt like I was doing her an inconvenience by calling. Disappointed by the lack of aloha at this "community" health center.
