This small sandwich shop really is a fantastic shop and sells a wide range of sandwiches both hot and cold and also do freshly made pasta's. they also do jacket potatoes as well as pizzas and chips. The prices are very fair and they also do special freshly made juices to order. You choose the fruits you want mixed and they juice them for you in front of your eyes so you know that it is 100% fresh. The Pasta's are fantastic and the fillings in the sandwich very nice and the fact these guys are Italian, you know you are getting a genuine taste of Italy.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay - there are a small details that could be improved (for example, it's a bit cold in the bathroom) and no kettle in the room (however there is an area where you can make a cuppa yourself), but the biggest bummer for me was that the breakfast is only till 9 which was not ideal on a holiday and especially New Year's Day. But honestly, excellent value for money and breakfast was good indeed.

I was fortunate to get a tour of the rooms by the owner and they were spotless and modern. The pub itself serves cold beer with a warm atmosphere. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The prices were reasonable too. But the food is the real star here. British classics and local favourites professionally prepared. The evening I was there the place was packed and every plate was empty at the end. Oh, and free wifi too!

The pudding was a lovely mixed berry chessecake which could have done with some more sauc or christmas pudding. Coffee for afterwards and then some dancing. The dance floor wasl large enough the DJ though was playing too much pop music and didnt bring out the good old christmas tunes till much later on also lacking was any 60 or 70 music until late in the night. The toilets were okay but only 3 and of the 150 that the place caters for most were girls so very busy. It didnt finsih until 1 so a good night out not badly priced but you have to make sure you are friendly with the person your sitting with as a lot of brusing of elbows goes on.

In my humble opinion it is the best in the North East, it has a bar and diner upstairs, it is next door to a McDonalds, Frankie & Bennies, Pizza Hut and a local pub so you are not restricted to just the cinema if you have a while to wait for your screening or you want some food or drink after the movie. There is an Asda a few yards away also which comes in handy if you would like to do a bit shopping on way hom also.
