Stayed here for 1 night on a Saturday, it was the only hotel available in central Newcastle at short notice. I was not sure exactly where it was when I booked it but it turned out to be OK. It cost £70 for a double room per night, with breakfast an extra £7.95 per person. You did not have to pay for breakfast upfront you could decide and pay for it the next morning which I felt was a good idea. The staff were really friendly and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. The rooms were what you would expect from this hotel chain, there was a bar for residents open till 1am and breakfast was enjoyable with plenty of choice. Considering it was a saturday night I honestly did not hear any noise, I was on the 7th floor and there was a stag party staying on the same floor but everybody was well behaved. The hotel itself is about a 2 minute walk from Northumberland street where all the shops are, and about a 15/20 minute walk from the train station so it was quite central to everything. read more
