This one is dirty when it comes to the showers. Mold, dirt, hair, trash, shi* streaks still in the toilet. Great water pressure though and shower head had a couple different settings which was nice. Evening store employees are kids who could probably care less. There's a complete lack of drive when it comes to hospitality and cleanliness. On a positive note, we got here at 2200 on a Friday and there was 10+ parking spots still available! Parking lot in general looked pretty clean too, So that's awesome!!

Granted, the towels have seen better days and are losing that "Charmin softness", but truckers just want to dry off after their hot shower. They don't sit behind a desk all day, worrying about whether or not they might return home with 'ring around the collar'. No, the truckers that come here need a dry towel after a hot shower, and a cuppa hot coffee. My hat's off to the staff that keep the showers, rest rooms and convenience store spic and span. You guys do a great job here.

I said "Oh, well Michigan law requires you to honor the price that it's marked" (this would've qualified for the Bounty law as well but I caught it in the moment) and she changed the price to $3.99 and asked for payment again. I had to insist again that she charge me the price that the bottle was marked. I would bet she does this to paying customers all day long hoping they won't catch it if they have multiple items. Most places will authorize $1 on your account to verify funds. This travel center put $151 of funds on hold for $30 of gas. Visa issued a notice to banks (according to UMCU), last year, that gas stations can start doing this. Apparently Pilot Travel Center is one that does. I have emailed Pilot corp, with no response. (yet) Workers at the Pilot Travel Center said that it is the bank and not Pilot. According to Visa, it is the Travel Center. Also, via Visa, they can preauthorize up to $151 for passenger vehicles and $500 for semi trucks. I can't believe this isn't common knowledge and people aren't pissed! How would you like to have $151 frozen from Friday to Tuesday. What if you were filling up on your way out of town, then you didn't have that money available because this new practice? To avoid this, go into the station and have them authorize a specific amount instead of paying at the pump. No matter how inconvenient it will be to use another gas station, I will NOT visit this travel center again.
