However, when I asked follow-up questions regarding differences between his methodology and that of my prior CPA, the interaction deteriorated significantly. During a phone call, he raised his voice ("I don't need to take this crap...I'm DONE, OK??"), used hostile language, and abruptly terminated the call. Within minutes, he returned my personal tax documents by email, effectively ending the engagement during filing season. While his technical work on the corporate return was satisfactory, I found the communication and professionalism during this exchange deeply disappointing. Clients transitioning from another CPA may reasonably have clarification questions, and I did not feel those were handled constructively.
