There was no one in the shop when we arrived so my son was able to get a chair right away. Ernesto was the barber who worked on my son's hair. My son had no idea what he wanted to do to his hair but knew he wanted to grow it out and just clean up the sides. We showed Ernesto a picture of my son's hair before his summer buzz cut (the style he wants to get back to), and Ernesto understood the goal and communicated what he was going to do before he started cutting. He made sure to not touch the top to keep it long and just fade the sides and back. End result looked great! I liked that Ernesto didn't rush and spent time on making sure my son's hair was even. Cash only, walk-in only (no appointments). Parking can be difficult as the lot is small with limited spots. Highly recommend!

Against my better judgment, I decided to give them a shot since Caesar's is closed for Chinese New Year. That was a mistake. ​Here is why I won't be back: ​Dishonesty about Skill: I asked three separate times if the barber could do a flat top. He aggravatedly said he could. After a long, painful process, I walked out with a basic crew cut. If you can't do a specific style, just say so. ​Dull Equipment: It felt like his scissors and electric cutters haven't been sharpened in years. My hair was being pulled and yanked the entire time. It was incredibly uncomfortable. Here is a the weirdest part, you have to lean out of the chair, face-down into a sink for the shampoo. His assistant uses Dove bar soap on your head while alternating between ice-cold and scalding-hot water that runs straight up your nose, since you are face down. ​After charging $25 for the cut he clearly didnt deliver on, he actually asks for a tip...well, he said, "what? No tip?" ​I only have myself to blame for trusting him, but take my advice: if you value your hair (and dont like your hair pulled or your nose being flooded with hand soap), wait for your regular barber to get back or go literally anywhere else.
