Front office staff could do with a bit more customer service training as they are generally not so polite and dismissive (like disrupting their day). Their maintenance dept is on point often fulfilling service requests promptly. One design flaw they cannot help is they built the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors too close to the kitchen. Thus, whenever using the oven or stove, it sets off the alarms constantly. Nice amenities like the clubhouse, gym and dog park. They are a bit too strict with rules and the non-heated pool is only open in the summer months.

As previous reviews have stated, the new management company (it's been a few years now) and all the renovations and updates to the pools, clubhouse, gym, sauna, sidewalks, parking, new central air units, clubhouse patio area with BBQ and seating, and being able to rent the clubhouse for parties give this neighborhood a resort feel. I can only speak from personal experience, and the management staff has always been courteous, respectful, and attentive. With 700+ units in the development, you have to realize it's a busy office, and people don't usually stop in to the office unless they have a problem or need something (translation: irate). My only wish is that there was a handyman in the neighborhood for my individual, indoor decor work for hire.

My fiancé and I have been residents at Pinewood Estates for three years in a one-bedroom apartment…read moreand recently upgraded to a two-bedroom unit at Pinewoods Crescent on April 1, 2026. Unfortunately, upon our move-in day, we immediately noticed a strong cigarette smoke smell throughout the apartment--something that was not present during our initial viewing. On move-in day, the property manager acknowledged the issue, and while management reportedly spoke to a neighboring unit, the problem has continued. The smoke appears to be entering our apartment from another unit, likely through the building structure or HVAC system, making it unavoidable. This has made our living space uncomfortable and concerning from a health standpoint. Secondhand smoke in a multi-unit building is a serious issue, and it has significantly impacted our ability to enjoy our home. Additionally, there was no clear smoking policy disclosed in our lease or advertised online, which would have been important information when deciding to upgrade and remain in the community. We hope management takes meaningful action to identify the source of the smoke, address how it's entering our unit, and enforce a clear policy to prevent this ongoing issue for current and future tenants. Please be aware that Pinewood Estates does not care about the lack of smoking policies in their complex. They allow tenants to smoke in their apartments as they please with no consequence.
