First off let me start by saying after reading reviews people over expect! This is a distributer of stone and mulch. NOT a landscaper. Dont be cheap and hire a landscaper to spread it...I get tons of stuff from them yearly and never have issues. Like myself, if you can't get it from point A to B buy a tractor! Geez... highly DO NOT recommend! I went to their Perrysburg yard looking for beach sand. Gentleman recommended which sand to buy. I even went back again and confirmed the sand he recommended would be good for my beach. He promised me it would be great sand. Once delivered I went out to spread it and noticed the second it touched the water it turned into a slimy mucky mess. Who in the world would be interested in slop on their nice beach? Was directed to speak with Mr.Bobby Parker. What a rude disrespectful man. Made excuse after excuse blaming me and telling me this mucky junk was fine. He ended up cussing at me and hanging up. Interesting because their web page says " We will make no excuses- 100% customer satisfaction every time" I'm shocked a "second generation family business" would treat its customers this way. read more

Sandman does such a great job letting me know how much material I need and gets the material to the general area that the material needs to be installed at. I know a lot of people think when a company delivers material, that they are going to install the material. Sandman did a great job putting my material half in the hole and half out. I understand that I will have to do some work to get the material installed. The dump trucks are dump trucks. Not bobcat skid steers. I just hate to see a wonderful company like Sandman get there name ruined because people are to lazy to do the install. I guess some people just think a $90 delivery includes a truck, a trailer, bobcat and 2 hours of manual labor. I guess some people expect a $600 installation for $90. Lol read more

They did not complete the job as agreed and still charged $862. We ordered 36 TONS of dirt. 18 were dumped in the hole, and 18 were dumped in mounds around the perimeter. When we contacted the manager/owner, Sean, he was incredibly rude and unprofessional. He started by telling us that dump trucks can't actually dump the dirt in a manner that will fill the hole because the truck might slide in and need to get towed out. Umm.. maybe you should tell the customer that to START with (Please take a moment to note, in the photo with the bill, that there is a star with the directives: Dump in HOLE in yard." He then asked us how we would like a $600 towing bill for a dump truck (rude). We sent him the pictures, and Sean's response, "Looks like a good job to me!" and "I stand by the quality of my worker's job." Well Sean, now we have to pay someone else $600 to come fix the job you didn't do, as you have piled 18 TONS of dirt where it doesn't belong. Huge waste of money, and a bad attitude. Our mistake? Sandman delivered a load of sand to my home by mistake. The driver said he was sorry and would try to figure how to pick it up. The driver drove away. It's a day later now and the load of sand is still in my driveway, right in front of my garage door, which prevents me from getting my car out. I will have to shovel a load of sand because Sandman bailed on his responsibility to fix his mistake. Sandman is enjoying his holiday weekend while I am shoveling sand that he dumped on my property by mistake. Sandman has not taken responsibility for his mistake and has caused me great inconvenience. read more
