We were very happy with each phase of our first day with this company. They set us up with their 1st available appointment that was over a month out, but put us on a call earlier list if there is a cancellation. This was great for us, because as retirees we could be available at a days notice. Both of us got calls to come in earlier than our scheduled appointments. Front desk staff were very efficient at processing Maggie & I as 1st time patients. The dental team makes the 1st appointment 2hrs long to do a very thorough exam. They want your input to get your level of involvement in the dental care process. The equipment they have is top of the industry standard. It gives the patient a good view of dental issues, allowing a more knowledgeable choice by patient & Dentist. We never felt pressured to additional care that wasn't truly required at the present time. We were given a break down priority list of items needed & told they would work with us on payment steps based on the priority list. Even given discounts on how payments can be made. I see them on Monday for 1st step in fixing some of my issues. We highly recommend this Dental Care Family

I have a bit of anxiety about dental visits, so when I finally got up the courage to make an appointment I searched Yelp! for the best in ABQ. Sandia Heights Dental Care showed up and so I trusted my fellow Yelpers and made an appointment. So glad to say everyone was right and this is a great facility! The first thing you should know is this dental office seems pretty busy and they are about a month out on scheduling appointments, so if you are considering going in call them now! The office was clean and professional and all of the staff were friendly and efficient. You can tell by the way they interact with each other that everyone works well together and they are a tight team. I told my technician I have a bit of anxiety and she was understanding and compassionate. She quickly took the edge off with a gentle touch and calming chit chat. She listened to my concerns and explained each step in great detail. The appointment went great and I booked not only my next cleaning for later this year, but also an appointment to discuss Invisalign, because this clinic does it all! I even grabbed a handful of business cards for my dental phobic friends. I highly recommend going here whether you are just looking for a new dentist or have some anxiety like myself.

They laughed that this was the third time she had called and made fun of her being from out of state. They agreed with each other to just tell her that the dentist had left and they said their goodbyes. When the front desk person returned to the phone and said the dentist had left, my daughter brought up the fact that she was not placed on hold and just heard their entire conversation. The staff member became very quiet, failed to apologize, simply mumbled something, and hung up. This is the worst unprofessional customer service I have been a part of experiencing. I was tended to by Shaundra, the hygienist, who was very accommodating and great at her job. I mean, her job is to use sharp tools to get the plaque off your teeth, which can hurt mind you, but can be done correctly with minimal pain. She definitely took care of me, was constantly asking if I was good, and was sympathetic when inducing what little pain there was. In past dental experiences, most hygienists will try to get you out in one cleaning. That means, taking whatever steps necessary, as painful as they may be, to get all the plaque off your teeth and gums. Shaundra, however, knew that I probably wouldn't be able to handle all the pain in one go, but instead insisted that I go home, floss as much as possible, and come back for a second cleaning 2 weeks later. Let me preface by saying that she made sure my insurance would cover me before making such a decision. Honestly, this kind of problem-solving and decision making is key to any client's well-being. My Seattle dentist (Dr. Cris Simmons) is one of the top TMJ specialists in the world. His wife/secretary (Anna) referred me to Dr. Sanchez. I called for an appointment and was offered a free half-hour consultation. I phoned back Anna and she said that's a very good sign. She said that if they wanted me to make an appointment for x-rays, run the other direction. Lol During the consultation, it was clear that Dr. Sanchez had years of advanced specialized training with TMJ. He inspected my appliance and said he can definitely make one that's comparable. But even though it's slightly chipped in the front, it won't affect the functionality or comfort so it's not worth wasting my money on a new one. His advice was to continue using it until there's more serious wear. I felt relieved to find a dentist in my new city who's honest AND a highly experienced expert with TMJ.
