How to lose a good customer over less than a dollar! I often…read moreshop at Burney True Value Hardware as it is convenient and I have always liked to support local businesses over the chains like Home Depot and Lowes. Today, was my FINAL shopping experience at Burney. I had purchased a few screws for a project a week or so ago and didn't need them. Today, I tried to return them and buy some more items. I thought I had the receipt in the bag but I did not seem to have it with me. I asked if I could return them without the receipt. The total for the four screws was a whopping .82. I was told that they couldn't return them without the receipt as they have hundreds of SKU numbers and they wouldn't know which one I was returning. This made logical sense until I looked at my bag a little further. The gentleman that helped me pick out the screws didn't seem to write down the SKU number on my bag! How was it rung up when I purchased it? I assume by some generic key that charged me the .82, the same generic key that could have refunded my .82! Sorry Burney you lost me for good over this one, shame on your staff!

She worked with our family closely to help us clean out the stuff that had built up over the years. We were able to throw out so much unnecessary junk, but Betsy was essential in helping us go through everything to sort what we needed and what we wanted to junk. Her patience and work ethic was so valuable to our family and especially my father. After Betsy helped us clean out our basement she was then instrumental in helping us do a deep cleaning of the entire basement and ripping out the old carpet. Betsy also painted out basement and continued to help us sort and cull our stuff in the garage. Betsy and her team were wonderful to work with and we continue to hire Betsy to do other jobs after our initial basement cleaning. Betsy was extremely capable. She repaired our bathroom cabinets and put a new door on them to match perfectly. Every job we asked Betsy to do was done promptly and efficiently. Her attention to detail was essential and we cannot recommend Betsy and her team strongly enough!

Well I finally found one. I was looking to buy 26 bags of gravel for a job I am doing and I'll be. Walked by Garrett from lawn and garden stepped up to us and asked if we needed help. That's a first. Then he proceeded to load up a pallet of the 26 bags of rock while I went to pay at the register. He had it load and pulled around waiting for us and help loaded it on the trailer. I am currently on hold trying to get in touch with a manager to let them know what an exceptional employee they have. But been on hold for over 10 mins now. .

Over the past month I spent approximately $2000.00 at Lowe's. I purchased a refrigerator and landscape blocks and then on 30th I spent approximately $500.00. I won't be going back there and will recommend to my family and friends not to purchase from there. Your employees represent your company so you would think they would be more interested and polite.
