How to lose a good customer over less than a dollar! I often…read moreshop at Burney True Value Hardware as it is convenient and I have always liked to support local businesses over the chains like Home Depot and Lowes. Today, was my FINAL shopping experience at Burney. I had purchased a few screws for a project a week or so ago and didn't need them. Today, I tried to return them and buy some more items. I thought I had the receipt in the bag but I did not seem to have it with me. I asked if I could return them without the receipt. The total for the four screws was a whopping .82. I was told that they couldn't return them without the receipt as they have hundreds of SKU numbers and they wouldn't know which one I was returning. This made logical sense until I looked at my bag a little further. The gentleman that helped me pick out the screws didn't seem to write down the SKU number on my bag! How was it rung up when I purchased it? I assume by some generic key that charged me the .82, the same generic key that could have refunded my .82! Sorry Burney you lost me for good over this one, shame on your staff!

The tech told Stihl I did some crazy stuff when he didn't even know. So Stihl denied it. I called Stihl and they told me they don't know why the tech called and sent them pictures trying to get it denied but they said yea clear warranty problem. I've emailed the store several times trying to speak with a manager and the won't respond. They kept my saw for two months before they called me and said we can't fix under warranty. No wonder their business seems little off from years ago.

My Hilton Garden Inn the night before charged 16 dollars for the same items. Tiki served everything, including my tea, juice, and milk, and even filled my water bottle with ice and water. She told me she loves serving her customers. She was very friendly and talkative. I complimented her at the front desk and my Hilton review. The room was typical, and they have an outside pool and fitness center. Conveniently near lots of shopping and restaurants. They won a hotel award for the area. They also have a bar and serve lunches/dinner. Even has an outdoor putting green. Pinehurst area the golf capital of the US.
