"Studio X deserves so much love"…read more I'm making a review here because there simply isn't enough! This is a spot that I have gone to multiple times!!! The instructors at this studio are so nice and only bring the most positive vibes to classes. The instructors are also so hands on and supportive of each student that comes in through those doors to dance. Never had I had an experience that felt like I was not good enough or able to do something. My deepest respect goes to instructors Adrienne and GiGi, book with these ladies and I promise you nothing but an amazing experience. Classes go from $25 each and package deals for the student that wants to do more. Thank you studio X for providing a clean proper environment that focuses on the art of pole no matter what size color and age.

I've been on and off the pole for about 4 years, and wanted to start up again. I was able to take advantage of a special promotion they had going on- which is the 2 week unlimited class pass (except for the aerial classes) for $50. A single class is $20, and knowing that I would probably get hooked, I was able to contact the studio and have the $20 class go toward my $50 2 week unlimited class pass granted that I wanted to keep coming back. In addition to the instructors & great promo I was able to get, the other gals that take classes at Studio X are super sweet as well. I would highly recommend this studio to anyone wanting to try/return back to pole.

As a soldier you get to appreciate a working AC specially in a hot and humid training week with 50+ more soldiers training in the same location. From the outside the building looks like any other main post old theater from any other base. You go inside and it is the same sucky smelly restrooms and everything else is the same. Overall, is well kept. The parking lot is on the side and on the back of the building. There are only 3 stalls per gender restroom. You may enter parking lot through the back from Reilly Road to Sedgewick Street. The Old Theater Main Post is in the corner of Reilly Rd and Macomb.

I hate to see old buildings go down, but eventually this building is not gonna make it. I did try to walk around to get a feeling of what used to be - not a lot to see, but you can tell it's an old building. The seats are horribly, horribly uncomfortable. I wish I could talk to someone about possibly trying to get this renovated, but I just got here so I'm not sure on what can happen maybe more to follow.

If you are and artist or an art enthusiast, you truly need to make the trip to StarWorks. I wanted to enter though the front- there is a giant sculpture out front that was already dazzling me before I made it inside! Walking through the giant front doors- the gallery/shop space inside was incredible! Art everywhere- pottery, glass, metal and more! It was overwhelming! I browsed and John came over with the look- like he knew he was stuck there, lol. I happily sent him through the double doors to find the tap room. Go enjoy beer, while I skip around and explore this place! Behind the first storefront room, there is another gallery space set up that is part gallery and part museum and throw some science in there too. Great information on local clays. Starworks is also a clay supplier- with local clays. Behind that space, there is the hot shop- glass blowing. Live demos are going on throughout the day and they had numerous glory holes and annelears. I was nerding out since I took a couple of classes for glass blowing and know more about the process than the average person. I saw that over the summer they had John "Sleepy" Moran working in the hot shop!!! I was so jealous. Downstairs- I joked it was the dungeon, you find the pottery everything. They have the testing studio, studio for residents, gally space, kiln room and outside- more kilns. The pottery supply store is downstairs on the backside of the building too. I snagged some pottery tools and went home with wild clay! The new Catawba clay! A mossy green look when wet- I bought some for myself and two fellow potters at home and I am grateful I will be back in March so I can grab more!!! I befriended one of the Residents and bought a couple of sake cups from him direct. Things I didn't explore- the metal shop. My sculpture class at school was metalworks and I love metal pours! I also know they have theater space- but I can only guess that was upstairs. There was also a huge event space in between the main store/gallery and the tap room. We had to walk through it a couple times. They were setting up for a fundraising gala that evening! They hold huge events here- you should check them out if you are traveling near here. You never know what you will find! My only suggestions- I think the bathrooms need an artistic makeover- I went into the one on the taproom side & more artsy t-shirts for Starworks. They had some generic ones, but they weren't in my size. I can't wait to stop back in!!!
