Called ahead to ensure public range was going to be open only to find out it was closed upon arrival. Find another place to shoot.

Excellent pistol 1 fundamental class. Practicing what they taught took me to the next level.

Best training in North Carolina. If you want to learn advanced shooting skills I highly recommend TRC.

I found this place by accident. This is an indoor VR range with REAL handguns and rifles. They…read morecan also convert most personal weapons to use their system. The premise here is to use modules that fit into real weapons giving you real feedback without real ammo. 100% safe. When you pull the trigger a laser fires from the module, and CO2 cycles the weapon. Nice! NO CLEANING after a day at the range. One can also see one's performance level and diagnose issues in aim, reaction, etc. They have tons of scenarios from plain target shooting at different distances to self-defense scenarios to a full-out ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE (MY FAVORITE). The facility is very nice! It is temperature controlled, light controlled, and the screens are bright and crisp to display the "targets". You can shoot individually or in teams. The staff and owner (Ted) are very professional and friendly. You can just "go-wild" hunting zombies or bad guys, or get assistance from the staff on becoming a better shooter. There is a good restaurant co-located for snacks and such. For hot or rainy days, this IS the place to be. It's very popular, so make sure you call Ted or one of his crew before you go as their resources are limited. This is the closest you can come to military / police style training in million-dollar simulators, and other than 360* action, very little deviation. This is far less expensive than hundreds of rounds of ammo, cleaning costs, driving to a range, etc. Does it sound like this customer is addicted? I am!

I think this would be a awesome place to take a group of boys to have some fun learning how actually shoot a gun without going through allot of Ammo. I definitely will be taking my sins back here and it's a great place to target practice without using live ammo.

A Real-Life Lesson in Racism at Harrison Creek Gun Club…read more Our visit to Harrison Creek Gun Club was supposed to be a joyful celebration of new life--a family gathering to honor my brother. Instead, we were met with hostility, disrespect, and a disturbing reminder that racism is alive and well in some corners of this country. From the moment we arrived, we were not given any forms to complete--just told to hand over $20 in cash per adult. No rules. No guidelines. Just money exchanged and a dismissive welcome. Within 30 minutes, one of the owners--who, along with his partner, carried a heavy "good ol' boy" energy--approached our group multiple times, each time delivering information he should've shared at the very beginning. When I calmly asked why we weren't told this upfront and if there was anything else we needed to know before he interrupted us again, he completely lost his composure. His response? In front of my 9yr old nephew and 12yr old son, he screamed, "If you mess up again, get the F@#k out!" My 12-year-old turned to me and asked, "Dad, is this what racism feels like?" With pain in my heart and fire in my chest, I had to tell him, "Yes, son. Unfortunately, it is." We left shaken but not silenced. If there's one thing Harrison Creek Gun Club did well, it was give our sons a real-life lesson in how to recognize racism--and rise above it. To any families considering a visit: be warned. This place may call itself a gun club, but what it truly fires off is ignorance and intolerance.
