Never showed up to measure for re-roof estimate. After I called 2 more times, I have never heard back. Guess they don't need the work

We thought we knew that the problem was a vent flashing that was leaking but my husband had just had a heart attack and there was no way he could get up on our tall 2 story home to fix it. . Within 24 hours there was an employee on our roof who found the leak at the vent and repaired it and redid the other roof vents around it as well. We are so thankful for their quick response and quick fix. We were also pleasantly surprised when the bill came and it was fair and affordable. We had a great experience with Redwood Empire Roofing and think you will too.

They absolutely screwed…read moreup my attic royally from inadequate soffit ventilation that was supposed to be installed when they put on my new metal roof and ridge vents. They installed new ridge vents in my roof when they put on my new metal roof and the ridge vents were supposed to solely rely on adequate soffit ventilation which they did not install. When we finally noticed my attic plywood was saturated, wet and had mildew on it we called them and they sent a guy out to look at it and when he climbed in the attic noticed that there was old insulation pushed up against the baffling area which they didn't check at the time of installation of the roof because they said they didn't get in our attic. They told me at that point that they dont do ventilation and i should have had a contractor do that but obviously they do if they installed and cut in ridge vents/ventilation in my attic. Long story short I called my insurance which flew in an engineer from Arizona to look at it which said it was due to improper soffit ventilation and the gable end vents were also supposed to be blocked so the ridge vents empire installed could solely rely on the soffit air flow which empire didn't install. The Better Business Bureau came to the same conclusion when they came and looked at it and in the end right before we were going to go to arbitration redwood empire realized they were going to lose the case so Redwood Empire Roofing settled to pay us to have someone else fix the damage they created. A situation which ultimately cost them as much to fix as we paid them to install the metal roof in the first place. Avoid this company at all costs. They truly will try and make your life hell if you end up having a warranty issue with their workmanship. I should add a whole bunch of photos on here but I'll save everyone the visual embarrassment of such a shitty job done by this fly by night company.

We wanted to get solar panels up before the end of the year. Carlos promised to get our new roof on in time. He coordinated with the solar installer, completed the garage roof first so the solar installer could get started putting the panels up there while Carlos and his crew finished roofing the rest of the house--right before Thanksgiving! He delivered! Carlos pays attention to quality and design, advised us in materials selection, and demonstrated he has had lots of experience installing top quality roofing. His five crew members are also pros. He works along side them, and they are a very cohesive group of professionals, good-natured, and good people. Several neighbors had reccommended Carlos Corradini to us. His quote for the job was competitive. No additional costs. Now we are recommending him to friends and anyone who has admired our new roof and solar panels. Call him. S. T.

I had to telephone him today to find out the status ======================================= I just read his response to this review. It would have saved a lot of confusion if he would have explained when he looked at the house that he only prepared estimates on Sunday. I needed a reply so that I could decide what action I needed to take to satisfy the park -- who was insisting that I wash the house RIGHT AWAY !! While I was flexible on the ACTUAL date of the work (as I told him), I needed to know HIS price so that I could decide whether to have him do it, get someone else, or wash it myself. I sent him 2 emails (8th and 9th) inquiring about the estimate. It would have only taken him a few moments to simply reply that he would get the estimate out Sunday. I noticed that he wasn't TOO busy to write an immediate reply to this review ??

I had just relocated to Humboldt for work, and Gardens Apts were just being built, and needing a place to live immediately reserved a unit (I'm 56) Overall, the neighbors are friendly; grounds are well kept and clean, and apartments are updated with desirable appliances and large closets. The location is very convienent, and apartment management has been responsive when needed. Negatives are lack of assigned parking spaces, there is one entrance and the parking spaces (non-assigned) are narrow and most of the residents are challenged with parking. Also due to Humboldt's lack of senior resources and housing, many of the residents are at fall risk, and there are frequent incidents of emergency medical visits to the community. Several have advanced dementia and health risks, in need of assisted living.

Here are the "pros" first: good location and access to parking, and the women who run the main office are responsive. The "cons": the walls in the units are so paper-thin, you will not get a good night's sleep. I could hear my neighbor snoring even while I wore ear plugs and had a white noise machine going at full blast. Eating was also a challenge as the smoke alarms in the unit go off constantly. You cannot even cook a frozen pizza in a spotless oven without the alarms going off. Most people want to sleep and eat in their apartment. These basic functions are impossible. If your pilot light goes off, expect to pay Kramer $50 to turn it back on. Or wait weeks for PG&E to fix it. To top it off, when I moved out, I hired a professional cleaning service, but Kramer charged me a $300 cleaning fee anyway. There was no way to counter that, even though my cleaning service took videos of a spotless apartment. Do yourself a favor and find another place. My new rental costs $100 more and does not have any of these problems; it is ten times bigger and includes a yard. Search a little more and you will find something much more functional and comfortable. Avoid Kramer if you can.
