Third time on Sandbox but first time on this location. We couldn't book ahead for squid game but it was a family event/visit we made in Dallas. We waited till 8:40pm on a weekend. We were there 6:15pm. We had dinner and went back to the location ahead of time. There were 4 of us BUT they booked two more kids we were not aware of until we were assembling. Urned out the two added kids---one has a bday thing in the end of the video which again we were not aware of. We were rushed and uninformed what we were getting. Considering we have played Dragonfire and Amber Sky from SA (which we had so much fun) I wanted to get our money back on this one! Time was irreplaceable

I'd like to preface all of this with my friends and I had an awesome time after experiencing the actual game! Let me begin with this was not my reservation, I was apart of a party. The reservation was for my friend Amanda. It's important to note that this visit was free for Amanda and her party because Sandbox dropped the ball the first time Amanda and her husband visited back in August 2023. I'll make this short, our reservation was for 6:15pm they explained they were running late so we didn't get into the actual experience until a little after 7pm. There were minor technical difficulties during the experience. At the end of the experience they walk you out to the TV monitors and you're able to see the outside perspective. However, they claimed to have technical difficulties which prevented us from being able to view the recording. They assured us that we would receive the recording via email. We did not. This was my first time here and have no interest in recommending it to any of my family/friends.

Check In The instructions specifically state that someone would greet us and show us what to do when we get there. No one greeted us and was left to fend for ourselves until I grabbed someone to help out. I had a party of 3 and there was another party with 2 people. They arrived late and the staff still allowed them to continue. Causing our session to be delayed. There's a clear warning in the check in email not to be more than 5 minutes late. I think it would've been fair to cancel their reservation so it wouldn't affect ours. The Technology We chose Deadwood Valley. The entire game was extremely buggy and had a significant lag. One person in my party had consistent issues with his sensors and wasn't able to accurately see where everyone was. So he ran into us a few times. Another person in my party paid $7 for the Gatling gun and the gun had several issues not actually shooting through out the game. Which defeats the purpose of paying for it. He got last place in stats. Which is disappointing considering paying $7 should have given you an edge. The game lagged every time there was a lot going on. Post Experience Videos These could have been better. Maybe show videos of people in the gear outside of the VR world instead of showing laggy video of the in-game experience. Overall - $50 per person was not worth the experience. Fantastic idea. Mediocre execution.

This was a lot of fun; not just for us, but for all the screamers and laughers we heard throughout the building. The technology is state-of-the art and the concept is cutting edge. The employees were really nice and it's cool that they present and share your video with you at the end. If you're into tech, gaming and stepping into new worlds, this is a must-do. Oh yeah, the game selection is really good too!

This place was awesomeeeee. My family did the Squid game & we had so much fun. It wasn't all the challenges that the original movie had but it did include red light green light & the tiles. The person who helped us, her name (or went by) Sunshine was very nice & helpful throughout the entire time. My family included 5 ppl, & it was about $300 so do as you will with that. I definitely recommend it for adults/teens. They let you see yourself play the game at the end which was very funny to watch

What a wonderful experience for the entire family. Once you arrived be prepared to login at the Kiosk and sign waives for all parties. They were running a little behind schedule but we enjoyed listening to the other family scream. After they call your party you are given a small training regarding your equipment and how to use the system. The training is very informative. They will then come around and take your picture and ask you to provide your players name. During the game your avatar will move and react to all of your moments. But the best part is they are recording. After we killed the dead. We were able to complete a winners free style dance. Which was a lot of fun as well. We were given our recording and laugh all the way home. What an amazing experience and a wonderful staff.

We had soooo much fun. First time trying this and we considered doing it again the same day. The staff were great. We reserved one game (Star Trek) but Jessie recommended we play Amber Sky! It was awesome. It was just my hubby and I. It could stand to have 2 more additional players but I'm glad that we had to ourselves for the first time. We need one of these in Charlotte, NC. Sunshine was our room host and she was awesome. She took additional videos for us and Airdropped them to us at the end. Definitely something fun to do with friends and even kids.

This is the location it right next to the orthodontics sign.

    How long is a session?

It's about a 35-40 minute session from start to finish. There's additional time before the session starts when you're choosing a team name, listening to the safety rules, and putting on the VR gear (i.e., ankle/wrist straps, vest, headgear/goggles,… Read more

The…read moregames were easy to understand and were the kinds of games that you couldn't really study for or be naturally good at, so everyone had fun working together. The host and staff were very energetic and enthusiastic, which added to the fun. I'd absolutely recommend for a team building event, or other type of gathering - birthday parties, friend groups, the like. This is especially great for groups - we had 30-40 people.

This was actually fun. Like, people were genuinely into it, competitive in a good way, and laughing the whole time. What really makes the experience is the host and assistant. They absolutely commit to the bit and make it feel like you're on a real game show. That energy is everything, and they nailed it. The whole concept only works if they sell it and they 100% delivered. The session ran right at an hour, which felt perfect. No dragging, no awkward downtime just a clean, high-energy experience start to finish. Only heads up: drink options are pretty limited, and definitely grab everything you want before going into the game room. They say you can step out, but once things get going, there's really no natural break to do that. Overall, easy 5/5. Would absolutely do this again especially for group events. They have a few different "scenarios" to experience.

Each room has a different vibe and objective, testing your speed, agility, and memory just to name a few things. I visited with a group of 4. We went during opening weekend so there were a few kinks -- some of the games weren't loading and other games would go on too long so we got bored and tired. I think that'll work itself out eventually though. The manager was kind enough to invite us back on a different date to experience the other interactive experience they offer, Sensas, since we weren't able to play all the games due to the glitches. I take away a star because it was really hot in there. I'm not sure if there was any A/C in the building. And also, though the manager was super kind to my group, it was super disheartening to hear the way he was speaking to his staff. I hope that even in the midst of frustration, he can remember to be kind and respectful to his team in the future! Overall this is something different to do in Dallas with friends. I'd recommend! Just give them a little time to get on their feet.
