A…read morewonderful place to take dogs, lots of benches to take rests, and an ample parking lot whose potholes were recently fixed, yay! Sometimes it's hard to find out what part of the park you're meant to meet someone in since there are so many sections. You can walk along the long beach or try a woodsy hiking trail. The trails on the right of the beach have either steps or a gradual slope to get up to the top of them, and you can look down over a small cliff to see the water below. The trails on the left of the gazebo are beautiful and give you many options, but people ride horses here, so be mindful of the droppings! This park has fantastic sunsets and multiple picnic areas, plus multi Porta potties that are usually in decent condition to use if needed. The bridge is great to look at, but can get crowded with families doing holiday photo shoots in the fall, so I've become wary of coming here since being stuck on one side of the bridge while a family made us wait to cross until they were done with pictures (ugh). I've come here for walks/hikes and even to wade at multiple times of year and always enjoy a beautiful day and peaceful experience here.

This park has made major improvements over the last few years to help keep it clean and safe. The sandbar tends to get dangerous when tides are high, so they added signage for people to be more aware of the dangers of walking out to the tip. 10/10 would recommend for picnics and gathering sea glass!

Several years ago, this beautiful waterfront property was an amusement park. After the amusement…read morepark closed, Rocky Point was abandoned for several years until the state of RI purchased it and reopened the property as a state park. You can still see the remnants of some of the rides, and there are informative signs throughout displaying the history of the property. I love the walking paths here, and I especially love poking around the shoreline at all of the little beach areas (some which are only accessible at low tide) and looking for shells and seaglass. Several of the walking paths are paved and are wheel chair accessible, and others a just a little more rugged with some climbing over rocks to get down to the shoreline. I also love the large fishing pier and this weekend my daughter and I relaxed on one of the benches out at the end of the pier and just enjoyed the sunshine. Rocky Point is an awesome place to spend time outdoors.

It serves the Masonic community and local youth programs. The grounds have several service oriented programs. The pool is used weekdays by youth service organizations like boys and girls clubs. I have been to Country Clubs that don't approach the standards that they maintain. The grounds are extremely well maintained and the views are spectacular. The staff is helpful and attentive to the grounds and the guests. The management is exceptional. They also provide good job experience for local high school and college students in the summer season. More than once I have just biked down with a book and just relaxed for a few hours. I can't have a negative thought about the facility and the services that they provide for the community. They are amazing.

There are stairs down, and a decent amount to be prepared for that both starting and finishing your trip. There are also some "bridges" over waterfalls with visible openings. Certainly safe, but just a heads up. I took a short stroll around the pond and then up to the left, walking behind the water. There are trail markers which is helpful. A nice quiet spot to enjoy a little time out in nature if you happen to be in the area; oh and parking on site which is always a plus. Can't wait to come back and explore more in the Spring.

Beyond that you can go to the right down to the rock structure remains of an old water mill (I believe it was a water mill) To the left off of the bridge, is a nice, clear trail that has some gradual incline. Along that route are parts of a kids story book that engages with passerby.
