The Explanation of Benefits was issued but I was never refunded. I have reached out to the dental office 10+ times (I have cell phone records as proof) and still have been unable to obtain a refund. Brighter Dental Care owes me $746.60. (Metlife agrees that I was overcharged by this amount.) 7/6/21 Update - After almost a year, I received my refund after threatening to file in small claims court.

both times i visited Zufall, i was blown away by the incompetence of the staff at each location i…read morevisited. the first appointment i scheduled was at their somerville location. i explained in detail that the reason for my visit was to have my TMJD assessed; they scheduled and confirmed an appointment for me. i sat in the waiting room for 1 1/2 hours, only for the doctor to tell me that they actually don't offer the services i specifically requested on the phone... so, why exactly did you offer me an appointment, then? my second visit, about a year later, was scheduled at 11:30. i showed up to the wrong location (Flemington) which was my bad- but luckily, the front desk there informed me that my appointment was actually at 12, and that i had just enough time to rush over to Bridgewater and make it to my appointment on time. perfect. so i drove all the way to bridgewater, only to be told that i was, in fact, scheduled for 11:30, and had missed my appointment. they'd already confirmed this information with Flemington as i began my drive to Bridgewater, yet NEITHER office thought to call and let me know. they just let me drive 1 hour to bridgewater and back for an appointment they knew i already missed. how this confusion occurred over something as straightforward as the actual time of my appointment is beyond me, but i am livid. i've never dealt with such disorganization and lack of professionalism from a doctor's office in my entire life. mind-boggling how that business could still be up and running.

So I called insurance company myself, to find out what the hold up was...then I found out that, SHE NEVER SENT THE CLAIM TO INSURANCE!!! She lied and fed me bull every time I asked her about it. This is incompetence at its best. I was so upset and angry when I realized she lied the whole time...EVERY time! What a disgrace! Be careful and follow up on whatever this woman tells you. I have been going to Hunterdon Family Dentist in Lebanon for several years. I never need any dental work done except for regular cleanings. The Hygienist, Jennifer is excellent. Recently I needed a crown replaced and I was completely dreading the process. I am pleased to report that I had the Crown replaced by Dr. Zhu and she was extraordinary. Not only was she kind and sympathetic to my fear and anxiety, but more importantly she did a remarkable job of replacing the Crown with no pain. Dr. Zhu is a very skilled and talented Dentist. The Crown is made in her office and she custom fits it into place. The result is a crown that looks and feels like it has always been there. I could not be happier with the result or the experience. If I ever need any additional work done, I will not hesitate to have Dr. Zhu take care of me. Not only is she a gifted Dentist but she is also genuinely a lovely human being.
