Now that a week has passed and I'm over some physical and mental trauma, I'm ready to relate my…read morestory! Last week Dr. Molesphini extracted one of my teeth as part of the initial stage for implant or bridge installation (tbd a few months from now). The extraction itself went fine - quick and painless. However, before and during the procedure I was suffering from (unrelated) digestive distress, and throughout, I was literally jumping out of the seat every ten minutes or so to take care of what I needed to, there in the exam room. This turned into rather a mortifying experience for me. But throughout the entire time, Dr. M. as well as his assistant were fabulous. Patient, compassionate, and kind. I wanted to go through with the procedure though Dr. M. repeatedly (and wisely) asked me throughout if I wanted to continue. Kudos to him and his assistant that evening for turning a very difficult and embarrassing situation for me into one that was professionally and gracefully handled. I so much appreciate this. In 25 years of seeing both Dr. Molesphini and Dr. Chustckie, as well as many years seeing Debbie S. for my cleanings, I have been extremely pleased with their work and my outcomes. I couldn't recommend this practice highly enough.

Since we share the same insurance and I was told my out of pocket cost would be no more than $100, I trusted this office and started my treatment with Dr. Elisa Marants, supervised by Dr. Jeffrey Chustckie. What happened next was absolutely unacceptable. After a few months, I discovered that my insurance had stopped paying because the office closed my Invisalign case after only 5 months, even though my treatment was clearly not finished. My case involved one single tooth, and there was no clinical justification for ending the treatment early. My insurance confirmed that they would resume payments if the provider simply reopened the case. Instead, the office refused to do it. To make things worse, when I called to ask for clarification, the staff told me: "We will call you back after speaking with Dr. Marants." They never called. Not once. No follow up, no explanation, no accountability. I reached out again, and the response was the same: no responsibility, no willingness to fix their own mistake, and absolutely no concern for the patient. Because they closed the case prematurely, my insurance paid only about $1,500, and I was left with an incomplete treatment and a financial situation that I never agreed to. This entire experience has been: * Unprofessional * Irresponsible * Poorly managed * Completely lacking in patient care and ethics I strongly warn anyone considering Invisalign or any dental treatment here: Avoid this office. Their lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism caused me unnecessary stress, financial damage, and an unfinished treatment.

Let me just start off by saying that I really hated going to the dentist until I came to this…read moreDentist office. What I enjoy most about this dentist office is the quality of the service that is provided everytime. I remember my first appointment with Dr. Ibrahim like it was yesterday. I walked in and I told him all about my bad experiences with dentist in the past and he assured me that it would be OK; he was right. Just a few examples of how AMAZING Dr. Ibrahim and his team are: I had a route canal done in his office and returned right to work following the procedure. Everyone in the office was so surprised at how well I was doing. I was in Florida when I broke my tooth and I was able to call him on his cell phone about what I should do until I returned to jersey. He schedule me to the same day that I arrived back from my trip. I had a route canal that got infected because I failed to follow doctors orders and take the antibiotics, so I called him late in the night crying about the pain. He didn't get mad at me but asked if there was a 24 hour pharmacy to which I could go to and get a prescription filled. Keeping in mind that this was close to mid night. He even told me if the pain was that unbearable that he would make a house call. Fast forward to two years later, and I have moved an hour+ away from this office location. But I take that drive every time because I know how amazing he is and I am not willing to give that up. Dr. Ibrahim and his staff are beyond AMAZING!!! He is a great example of the kind of dentist that we need in the world today. I dread the day that I get an health insurance plan that does not include him.

I started with Platinum Dental via a Groupon for teeth whitening (I think) at their Somerset office…read morea few year ago. The first doc I saw was Dr. Nijhawan. I liked the visit so much that I decided to keep them as my ongoing dental office. I haven't seen Dr. Nijhawan in quite a while though. I've also seen Dr. Parik and Dr. Youssef. All three doctors have been pleasant, knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions or concerns that I've had. I really enjoyed appointments with Dr. Nijhawan in the past and am finding Dr. Youssef (doc I've seen my last few appointments) great too. They always let me know about any issues they see with my teeth and what options I have for repair/replacement. None have ever tried to upsell me on services that I didn't need. My most recent appointment (7/9/25) went off as smoothly as it always does. I usually only have to wait 5 or so minutes before I'm called back for my appointment. The appointment was for a regular cleaning. My hygienist Lisa (I think that was her name), was great. She did a thorough cleaning of my teeth, told me the areas I needed to work on and demonstrated how to get back to areas of my teeth I have issues with. Dr. Youssef even had time to help me with a chip I had on one of my central incisor. If you're in the Somerset area and looking for a good dentist, I'd definitely recommend them. They have locations in Bayonne, Orange, Ventnor, Sea Grit, Secaucus and Somerset. My review is for the Somerset location only. I've never been to any of their other locations but with the quality care providers that Dr. Nijhawan, Dr. Parik and Dr. Youssef seem to pride themselves with being, I can't imagine that they would associate with a dental practice that was subpar.

We have never experienced anything like this from this office until today. There's a strong…read morepossibility you've just lost four patients in us: My Daughter's Nightmare Visit with Dr. Rabih Faytarouni (or Faytroni) - If you value compassion, professionalism, and basic patient care, steer clear of Dr. Rabih Faytarouni. My daughter had a truly traumatic experience here today--she was bawling by the time we left, and I feel compelled to warn others. From the Start: Poor Communication and Rushed Care - As soon as my daughter sat down, the hygienist asked how many cavities she needed addressed. She replied, "all of them," explaining that she's heading back to college and her regular dentist, Dr. Youssef, strongly recommended getting everything done now. The hygienist noted that completion would depend on the dentist's available time. She then applied numbing gel to my daughter's gums--something that normally requires a wait for proper effect. Dr. Faytarouni's Abrupt and Insensitive Approach - Dr. Faytarouni strode in immediately after, without checking how long the gel had been on. He pressed my daughter about why she needed all cavities done, despite her reasonable explanation. Then, without confirming the gel was ready, he started injecting novocaine. Not only was he rough, but he was so careless that my daughter felt everything--she was in visible pain and started to cry. His response? "It's a necessary pain." There was zero compassion or concern for her comfort. Shaming and Blaming the Patient - Instead of empathy, the hygienist chimed in to scold my daughter for not flossing--while she was still crying--and insisted she carry floss everywhere. Absolutely no support or understanding, just judgment and blame. Rough Handling and Disregard for Comfort - Dr. Faytarouni's technique throughout the procedure was not only rushed, but also physically uncomfortable for my daughter. Instead of politely asking her to move her head, he would push or pull her head in the direction he preferred, often causing additional distress. He rested his hand on her lip in ways that were awkward and obviously painful. Throughout the appointment, he repeatedly insisted she open her mouth wider, far beyond what was comfortable or reasonable for her. Unprofessional Conduct and Lack of Compassion -To make matters worse, Dr. Faytarouni was blatantly rude to his hygienist right in front of my daughter, criticizing the use of the suction--claiming it was "too loud" and only acceptable when absolutely necessary. I personally witnessed one of these outbursts when I took a peek to see how my daughter's appointment was going. This led to water dripping down my daughter's face multiple times, only adding to her discomfort and humiliation. His sarcastic remark, "We're having such a great day," made it abundantly clear that he was not interested in providing quality patient care or a supportive environment. No Attention to Patient History or Needs - At no point did Dr. Faytarouni bother to check my daughter's chart or acknowledge the reason for her visit, even expressing surprise that her regular dentist, Dr. Yousef, worked in the same practice. He finished the appointment by telling her her teeth might be sensitive for days or weeks, showing little understanding or care for her unique situation as a college student needing comprehensive treatment. Final Thoughts: Avoid at All Costs - This experience was nothing short of traumatic for my daughter, who left the office in tears and feeling completely dismissed. The lack of empathy, professionalism, and basic patient care from Dr. Faytarouni is absolutely unacceptable. If you care about your comfort and well-being--or that of your loved ones--find another dentist. Everyone else at Platinum, from receptionists to other dental professionals that my kids have dealt with, like Dr. Youssef and Dr Nijhawan, and the other hygienist Lisa have been so friendly and helpful, and are always concerned about the patient's comfort. What happened?
