Greeted by the owner, Phil, and Bill, who own and run the shop, I was in awe of all the vintage goods. If you're looking for a shop that knows vintage and has enthusiasts that love talking vintage comics, this is a must stop shop! They have so many cool books and series, and are so knowledgeable about each and every one of them, so if you have any questions, ask and they would be glad to help or tell you more. Tucked in the corner of the shop is a vintage Galaxian cabinet that is on free play, and if you beat Phil's high score, you get half off on 10 dollar comics! The guys here are the absolute coolest and have been so helpful, and the amount of awesome merch crammed into this place is INSANE. From board games and their accessories to giant superhero statues, they have it all. We've purchased almost all of our comic books here, several Pokémon and One Piece cards/packs, plushies, and a few figures from them. Their layaway plan is super reasonable and made it possible for us to bring home one of our largest figures, J. Scott Campbell's Alice, to date. I HIGHLY recommend this place if you haven't already visited. This place is an experience, and I'd be absolutely shocked if you can't find what you're looking for.

I was ripped off! I spent $150 for the Jim Lee package that included meeting him, an autograph, a…read morepicture, and a free gift from DC Comics. 1) We were not updated on changes in the schedule and he left really early and we never met him or got a picture. 2) The guys at his booth felt bad for us so they took the books I wanted signed but the only way I could get them mails back is if they were graded. Between authentication and grading I spent an additional $300. 3) DC Comics said that they had no idea of what we were talking about when we mentioned the free gift and said that nothing had been coordinated with them. I emailed the guy that runs the event, a guy named Apple, and I explained what had happened. No response. I emailed again. Again no response. As I talked to multiple people in comic book stores in San Antonio and the surrounding areas it was very clear that I was not alone in feeling ripped off. The biggest complaint besides a disorganized event was the Jim Lee pass. It really tainted the whole experience.

It hurt my soul a little bit to see these items displayed where they can get sunbleached AND are over priced on top of it. They had some cool games though and they clearly loved creating the displays, they did a great job there. Cool for photo ops if you are into that. Not my thing unfortunately.

Total sale price: $23.80. Later that night, I took a closer look and noticed that the MSRP had whiteout over it and that the price was written in pen (once again, my own stupidity for not looking more closely). Store price: $21.99. MSRP: $9.99. That's over a 100% markup. I'll admit I was dumb enough for making the purchase. However, that is the only purchase I will ever make there, and I would highly suggest you never waste your money on a business that conducts business in such a way.

They appear to be new. This is my problem with the book store. Example: I picked up a paperback and on the sleeve it has the price US 9.99 and on the back of the book it has a store sticker price of 15.99. Really?! Yes really!
