This place is my go to for books, anime, and comics. I love supporting local businesses. The owner is super kind and welcoming.

They have so many cool books and series, and are so knowledgeable about each and every one of them, so if you have any questions, ask and they would be glad to help or tell you more. Once again Fernanda put together a smooth running event. I do love this event…read more I shop here regularly. So, the opportunity to come & show them more love is okay by me. Their volunteers are always so helpful & knowledgeable. Its why I come back. Well, & the books. I came this time wanting cookbooks. I hadn't ever looked at their selection before. I collect vintage cookbooks, (yes, I use them too. ), I was happy to see the selection they had. I'll be back to look. Definitely adding this area to my focus. Right around the corner from the cookbooks are the vintage books. Well, they had this wonderful little Dick Tracy book. I knew it was coming home with me. Then, when I went to psy they were going to give me the Dick Tracy one. I told them no, I wanted to pay for it, it gives them the money. Isn't that the point!?

The selection is really impressive, especially if you're into Texas history, local authors, antique books, or those special finds you don't usually come across at bigger bookstores - and at a great price. and I could've easily spent way more time browsing - it's well organized and fun to explore without feeling overwhelming. The staff truly made the visit even better. Everyone was kind, patient, and genuinely happy to help or just chat, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and personal.

Between authentication and grading I spent an additional $300. 3) DC Comics said that they had no idea of what we were talking about when we mentioned the free gift and said that nothing had been coordinated with them. I emailed the guy that runs the event, a guy named Apple, and I explained what had happened. No response. I emailed again. Again no response. As I talked to multiple people in comic book stores in San Antonio and the surrounding areas it was very clear that I was not alone in feeling ripped off. The biggest complaint besides a disorganized event was the Jim Lee pass. It really tainted the whole experience.

Person in the store was nice and recommended a book as they really didn't have anything recent in there. Went ahead and bought the book as I was interested. I had reservations but went ahead with it. Total sale price: $23.80. Later that night, I took a closer look and noticed that the MSRP had whiteout over it and that the price was written in pen (once again, my own stupidity for not looking more closely). Store price: $21.99. MSRP: $9.99. That's over a 100% markup. I'll admit I was dumb enough for making the purchase. However, that is the only purchase I will ever make there, and I would highly suggest you never waste your money on a business that conducts business in such a way.

They appear to be new. This is my problem with the book store. Example: I picked up a paperback and on the sleeve it has the price US 9.99 and on the back of the book it has a store sticker price of 15.99. Really?! Yes really! It's pretty much the same for all the books. I feel like I'm getting totally ripped off here. I guess anything to make a buck. But when you take advantage of people little is returned to you.
