Overall, the store was similar to other layouts, and I found what I needed and it was on clearance, score!! Easy solution. Secondly, Everyone is short staffed right now. I am sorry that it makes everything more difficult at the deli. I have shopped there for years and have only seen the soda machine down once. Also the supply chain is still a factor for stores not always having products on hand. I make my own soft pretzels at home. As far as self check out goes, Sam's in Grand Island still has half the check outs run my employees. You don't have to self check if you don't want to. My biggest issue with Sam's is that the people that shop there can be very rude. They stand in the aisles and won't let you through. They let their kids run rampant screaming. Kind of funny. They must be the same people that wrote the other reviews. Sam's in GI is okay. If you know what things cost, you can get a bargain.

I paid a premium for 3 hour delivery. Since I was in a campground tethered to a 5th wheel/pickup…read morerig, delivery seemed appropriate. I called the store to warn them of the campground location and our unit site number. Then I got a call from "delivery woman" spoken just like that...NO ENGLISH whatsoever. I didn't know if she was here, lost or needed directions. She then just hung up. I called Walmart; the manager's lame response to the situation was that it was out of Walmart's control because they used a third-party delivery service. It seems that a company like Walmart could insist on a delivery person able to receive information and communicate in English in Nebraska. The woman finally found me and she was delightful but was unable to communicate other than pantomime. She couldn't even ask for the special number code that she was supposed to receive from me. This was ridiculous. This has nothing to do with the delivery person but everything to do with Walmart not taking care of customers. Just another conglomerate taking our money and putting little businesses out of business. It's fair that I would never have had the opportunity to get a late delivery from a small business but that's not who offered the service. Let's demand more from Walmart!!!!!!!! Step up WALMART!!!!!!!

It's a fun store, these are not kids who spend their xmas vacation working in a bank wearing a Walmart tie. Fwiw, Hot Topic is a publicly traded stock (Yuppie corporate businessmen criminals!) but this place seems to be driving on whilst the Waldenbooks across the way (which was an original tenant in this mall in 1973) is goin' outta bizness.
