A few years ago, I took booking appointments into my own hands like a good adult should. My dentist…read moregrowing up was far and I was looking for convenience. At the time, "open care" was heavily advertising to get free $ for booking appointments through them. Who doesn't want a gift card to Sephora in exchange for making sure your teeth are in good shape? I found Dr. Lackman & Chagger Dental on the app and booked the appointment. Since then I have only had positive and honest experiences here. The dental hygienists are some of the most lovely people I have met, and despite having a suction tube in my mouth 90% of the visit, we have great authentic conversations. When I needed a decently invasive filling, Dr. Lackman was incredibly transparent in the process, price, and goals. This past weekend I did something I never do and forgot about an appointment (even though I was reminded twice by text / email AND had it in my calendar *face palm*). The office closes at 1pm on Saturdays, but the hygienist decided to stay late to accommodate my lack of planning. i was so thankful they were able to do this for me! The appointments are always quick and efficient and this one was no exception. The receptionist is a very kind woman who is organized and ensures COVID measures are in place. This includes plexi barriers at the desk, filling out an intake form, taking your temperature, and ensuring masks are worn. On check out, I am always walked through what insurance will cover vs. what I should be getting as a return. I would highly recommend going to Chagger Dental Bristol Circle!

Horrible and unprofessional. First came here in September 2016 after I got a Groupon for cleaning…read moreservices and xrays. Was great the first time- found out I had a cavity and told them I would be looking to book a filling with them. Asked if I owed them anything for the cleaning and was told nope- the Groupon covered that! Left feeling pretty good. Tried for the next week to a week and a half to contact them to book an appointment- sent a few emails and left several voicemails (never got a live person even when I called during business hours), but didn't hear back. Finally decided wasn't worth the wait and went to another dentist to get the cavity filled. Glaze Dental finally contacted me maybe 2 weeks after, and upon hearing that I had made an appointment with another dentist asked me to cancel that appointment, trying to get me to come back saying it only took them so long to get back to me because they were REALLY short-staffed (because...that's going to convince me to come back...?). It got REALLY awkward as the practice manager came onto the phone and stated that it wasn't their fault, that they would hate to lose me and if I could give them another chance. She was honestly hysterical. I tried to end the conversation saying I was at work and REALLY can't be having this conversation right now- but she wasn't letting up (and honestly don't feel like she would have unless I told her I was going back to them!). I finally had to end it with "this conversation is over" and hung up as it was supposed to be a 2 minute call that stretched into 10 minutes of one of the most awkward telephone conversations in my life! Fast forward 8 months, Glaze Dental had been calling me to rebook a cleaning (no worries, just ignored their voicemails). I had since moved to another city about an hour away, so registered with a new dentist. I filed out permission to fax over my previous x-rays from Glaze Dental. My new dentist phones me to tell me that apparently I have an "outstanding balance" with Glaze Dental! Told my new dentist (honestly) that I had no idea about an outstanding balance as 1. Glaze Dental had left me MULTIPLE messages since my initial appointment in 2016 and had NEVER mentioned ANYTHING about an outstanding balance, and 2. I had asked specifically if there was anything I owed after that first cleaning and they said no because the Groupon covered it! I know sometimes businesses participating in Groupon will state that you have to pay for the applicable taxes on the services (I assumed this is what it was)- except I was informed by my new dentist that dental services are tax exempt and I shouldn't be paying even taxes on it! My new dentist was actually extremely apologetic and embarrassed because apparently Glaze Dental had disclosed private information about my account (e.g., financials) to them without my consent...pretty sure that's illegal right there. Overall horrendous experience- the practice manager and receptionist don't know the meaning of "customer service" (or confidentiality apparently). If I didn't have to deal with them I'd happily go back for the dental hygienist who helped me (she was super nice, kind and like the previous post said -extremely gentle!), but not worth it to deal with the rest of the staff. Avoid at all costs!
