It has been a year since I bought a 2024 Alfa Signature II. Enough time has passed that I can give a fair review. My wife and I bought a house in Sun Lakes and the search started for a golf cart. I visited the local golf cart dealers in Chandler and ran into a problem. We are snow birds and need a lithium battery which does not required maintenance while we are gone. Lithium really drives up the price at the other places. San Tan had a good selection and all their new carts have a lithium battery and more add-ons than I really can use. Radio, nice lighting, ports to run your phone, ball washer, cooler etc. I liked the gray color. My wife liked the blue. Guess who won that war? Pacific Blue it is! Once we settled on the color the purchase process took around 10 minutes and I was on my way in a nice golf cart. Okay. Now to list the problems that turned out not to be problems. My wife came down in the summer and the cart would not start. As some other reviews have pointed out, it was a bad key switch. Disappointing but not San Tans fault in my opinion. I called TJ at the Sun Lakes store. They immediately came out and took the cart away. It was returned in a few days in good order. Very nice. Thank you TJ. The acceleration was a little pokey and the top speed was 21 mph. TJ told me they can program a change which took five minutes. TJ upped the acceleration and upped the top speed to 25 mph. They can even program more if wanted but I am very happy with the way it is now. Punctured a tire by running over a golfer's divot fixing tool. Limped in to the shop. The GM/Owner Roberto and TJ jacked up the cart and removed the tire. They said to take the tire to Discount Tires. I took it to Discount Tires in Chandler who fixed the puncture in about an hour. Kudos to Discount Tires. Returned to the shop and they put it back on and I was on my way. Net result is that this is a really nice cart. TJ and Roberto have been straight up and helpful in all my interactions with them. As snow birds, we need the lithium battery which easily charges, holds the charge and does not need maintenance over the summer. All the standard equipment on this cart is really nice. This cart is everything that we wanted and more at a very reasonable price. When I come down for short visits in the summer months, I do not even bother getting a rental car. They have beautiful carts but have terrible customer support. They were supposed to come out and install the bag holder on my cart but said they had a flat tire and I'm being told that no one is coming out at all. Turns out that there was a backorder on the holders that never got fixed so they began to manufacture them themselves. There was some confusion about when a serviceman would fix it. When the owner found out, he made sure that someone came out right away. read more

My cart came in in a relatively short period of time and it is beautiful. Upholstery, wheels, tires, and all the finishes are excellent. We are extremely disappointed in doing business with San Tan Golf Carts and here is why: We strongly feel that the restocking fee was not justified, especially since San Tan could not state or find why the brakes locked up on the 2023 Alfa Signature Golf Cart that we had purchased from them. In our opinion, the locking of the brakes is a "Major Safety Issue". We purchased a 2023 Alfa Signature 4-Pass Golf Cart on Wednesday, June 7, 2023; at the Apache Junction location and the Golf Cart was delivered on Friday, June 9, 2023, to our home. We were totally pleased with our new Alfa Golf Cart until the late afternoon on Wednesday, June 14, 2023. While my husband was driving the Golf Cart down Mountain Brook Drive, we (I was riding along) heard a loud clanging sound from the mid-section of the Golf Cart. As I turned around to look back to see if something had dropped from the Golf Cart or if we had run over something - suddenly the brakes locked up and nearly threw me into the windshield. The only way to unlock the brakes was for my husband to turn off the Alfa Golf Cart and restart the Golf Cart. Upon returned home and I immediately called San Tan Golf Cart at 4:15pm, on Wednesday, June 9, 2023; leaving a message about the incident on their voicemail. San Tan picked up the 2023 Alfa Golf Cart on the afternoon of Thursday, June 15, 2023. After stopping by the show room late morning of Wednesday, June 21, 2023; to find out the status. The Salesperson called us at 3:27pm that day to inform us that they could not find out why the Golf Cart brakes locked up. We stated that since San Tan could not find the issue - we considered this a "Safety Risk" and would want to return the Golf Cart and to be refunded what we had paid for the Golf Cart. On Thursday, June 22, 2023; One of the Owners at San Tan Golf Cart called my husband at 3:49pm, offering the following: 1. We take the Alfa Golf Cart for 7 to 10 days and see if the issue (locking brakes) happens again a. If brakes lock, we return b. If brakes do not lock, we keep 2. Return the Alfa Golf Cart and there will be a restocking fee, since now that Golf Cart is "Used" Our comment was: We still viewed this Golf Cart as "Unsafe", especially since San Tan could not find out why the brakes locked up. We were not for option 1. At 12:40pm on Monday, June 26, 2023; Owner called to tell us the restocking fee was going to be $1724.00 plus 115.00 for the Title Fee. We were sold an UNSAFE Golf Cart and had to pay a restocking fee. This is not right and will never do business with San Tan Golf Cart again. read more

Very disappointed in this company. We bought a used 2010 club car from them a year ago with supposedly new batteries and tires. Cart has been doing great and we love It, the cart started to act up and they said it might be a part by the pedal. Got a call from them and they said it was the batteries. They are Trojan batteries, the told us we would have to by all new batteries for 1200.00 dollars. We made a couple of calls and found out Trojan has a warranty for 18 months . So we asked why aren't our batteries covered by the warranty if you really did put new ones in at the time of purchase. We were then told "oh some of the places we get our batteries don't have that warranty . So I said they must be refurbished not new then. At that point the manager and I spoke and he wouldn't budge saying we or our caregiver must not have taken care of the batteries. So we are liars. And if I brought in cash, he would give us a great deal on lithium. I checked around and then called and said bring my cart back to me. I have never been so unhappy with a company. I have told people in our park to stay away from this place. Shady business practice and They don't stick to their word. read more

I dropped off my golf kart here in June for repair. Told this business I would pay whatever it took to fix my golf cart, as I just wanted it running again. They kept it for 4 months, damaged the cart, ripped the wires out, stole the controller and charger from the kart, and returned it in worse condition than it was when it went in. Was told that they would do whatever it took to make it right and then they ghosted me. Shameful business practices. read more

We bought our golf cart from San Tan a couple of years ago, and shortly after had them install some accessories including a "unique" (or uncommon) key switch so that other golf cart keys won't start it. Recently we discovered that other keys did work in it. I contacted Red Hawk (the key switch distributor) and found out that there was a bad batch that went out a couple of years ago and we must have got one. Although it was not San Tan Golf Cart's error, they had a new one shipped out and sent somebody out to install it at no charge. Kudos to MJ for great customer service. We've always had good service with them. read more
