Fantastic northern Thai cuisine on a side street between the Louvre and Les Halle. Our waiter was very nice, helpful in explaining dishes, and attentive. We started with coconut chicken soup filled with lemon grass and other aromatics (don't eat those), which was excellent. The vegetarian pad Thai had noodles had a snappy, toothsome texture and were addicting (nothing like gluey, over cooked noodles that are commonly encountered). The beef with vegetables and Thai basil served with sticky rice was equally perfect.
Then, dessert! Two typical dishes from northern Thailand that I will crave from now on - a flan made of tarot root serves with warm coconut milk over the top, and a coconut milk sticky rice with fresh mango over the top. Amazing! read more
