I told him we can wait and he said "you can wait as walk in and will be waiting till end of the day" I still got the number and got called at 1pm and successfully get my work done. I don't know why the security was being so mean to us and kept on telling us that we don't have the appointment even we have the screenshot. This only show how unprofessional the security is. I wish I had noted down his name and I'll definitely give a horrible survey with his service if I receive one.

I know I was wrong to run but there was no one on the street in front of me so why treat me like a criminal. I won't go to that office and I'll warn all my senior citizen friends of this Napoleon syndrome security officer. I guess he gets his jollies shouting at senior citizens. Sunday night we called the Fire Department because our backyard was so flooded we worried it would…read moreget worse and enter the house. The firemen arrived within minutes and assessed our situation. They first told us we had another 12-16 inches to go before it was a big threat, and we could probably make it through the night. Then, after watching me try to get my hose to work as a siphon to help drain the water, they realized, we probably wouldn't sleep that night unless we figured out a way to lower the water level. Sure enough, they left, only to return about 5 minutes later with a sump pump for us to use through the night. Not only were we really grateful they came on such short notice- but we were even more grateful they were so willing to go above and beyond to help us feel safe. I slept that night... not well, but I did manage to sleep, thanks to our Fire Station #15! I have never been the type to call on the police or fire dept. unless it's a real emergency, and seeing that this could have been a way worse situation- we were really happy to know our fire dept. came through for us. It's nice to know these guys are just down the street from us, in case a REAL emergency happens one day. I should hope I never have to call them again, but if I do, I am certain they'll come through for us again! We love our Fire Department!!!

First I got scoped out at night and stopped for having no front license plate, secondly another officer had pulled me over for having no exhaust tips... when their vehicles don't come equipped with them either. Another time they pulled me over for not using my signal to change lanes, These police officers have never experienced real crime and are a bunch of rookie cops. They feel as if they can pull you over just to validate your residency in Foster City. A very sad police department, and a nuisance to the Foster city community.

I think the thing that stands out to me most is the abundance of restaurants. In Downtown San Mateo is home to some of my favorite restaurants such as Sushi Sam's, Fire Wings, Rise Woodfire, Shabu Shabu, Espetus and much more. The diversity in food options makes the downtown a very underrated spot for foodies that people outside of the Peninsula don't know much about. Let's not forget all the beautiful and large cafes that are available to get some work done or catch up with old friends. San Mateo is also home one of the only last remaining shopping malls in the Peninsula. Hillsdale has transformed itself into a destination with an influx of entertainment and solid food options. Another area that doesn't get a ton of love is the 25th Ave street. There's a lot of hidden gem restaurants that's easy to forget they are there, but whenever I go, I'm always pleasantly surprised about the options available.
