Social Security is on the second floor of the building. There was already a line at 8:45 for checking in even though the office opens at 9:00am (there were ~18 people before me in line). At 9:09, the line for checking in at the kiosk to get your ticket number was very short, 3-5 people, so the check-in line moved really fast. There was a really nice security guy having conversation with folks waiting. When it opens you wait in line for customer check in kiosk. It will print out a ticket with your number. You wait for them to call your number at the check-in window (number is also shown on the screen). The people at the check-in windows will triage your question, and depending on how they need to take care of it it seemed most people had to sit back down and then wait for their name to be called a second time to go to a different window. Luckily the check in guy (who is also really nice) can process name change applications so they called my number by 9:30 and was out by 9:33! Woot got out a half hour after the office opened. Tips: *go at 8:45 am before office opens. *office is on second floor *if there's an application available on the website, print and bring it to shorten wait times

Called and there's nothing in the system even showing the visit or action that was made that day. Called again and routed to another office where I was told again it's wrong so go in immediately. No empathy no help. No appts til October. Sit and wait. At least two hours. The attitude and lack of compassion and help lead me to walk at. So a disabled man is out a check for over two months. No one can take the necessary steps to correct appropriately; just verbal comments that yep it's wrong. Their letter they issued to him on the steps they take wasn't even correct. Fail!!!!

I noticed they had outhouse style restrooms which were cleaned, stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitizer. The path down is slightly downhill, and is dirt paved. Wear shoes you definitely do not mind being covered in dirt. Maybe a three minute walk. There were people picnicking quietly for an afternoon date on the lawn with a blanket, that's a great idea. There is a large grass area for many families to enjoy together. Seeing it in person was really nice. Brought some teenage girls here who really enjoyed it. We enjoyed taking some pictures together. I definitely see why this area is used as a professional photography spot!! Will I come here again: if in the area and cooler weather absolutely for a gorgeous family style picnic!!

I can absolutely see why people stop here for photos and the dome and pool make for a very pretty setting. That being said, I spent maybe 10 minutes here before feeling like I had seen it all. There's not a lot to explore and my visit was made particularly less enjoyable by how crowded it was. There were at least three people doing elaborate professional photo shoots and dozens of what I can only describe as full-on Instagram productions happening around the area. It was noisy and there wasn't much room to move around and it really took away from what I imagine is a normally peaceful experience. I was here on a weekday afternoon as well so I'm not sure when a slower time might be to visit. I feel like I should preface this review with the fact that I stopped here immediately after spending the morning and early afternoon at Filoli, so in comparison it probably isn't helping me have a hugely favorable opinion of my experience here. There are also signs advising that no dogs are allowed, which I think is pretty ridiculous. This is definitely worth a quick stop if you're in the area, especially because parking is free and there's no admission fee. However, unless you are one of the people who are spread out on a blanket or carrying boxes of props for a full-on production, this is definitely not a place that you would spend very much time. For me it was an interesting, very quick, one time stop.

The firemen arrived within minutes and assessed our situation. They first told us we had another 12-16 inches to go before it was a big threat, and we could probably make it through the night. Then, after watching me try to get my hose to work as a siphon to help drain the water, they realized, we probably wouldn't sleep that night unless we figured out a way to lower the water level. Sure enough, they left, only to return about 5 minutes later with a sump pump for us to use through the night. Not only were we really grateful they came on such short notice- but we were even more grateful they were so willing to go above and beyond to help us feel safe. I slept that night... not well, but I did manage to sleep, thanks to our Fire Station #15! I have never been the type to call on the police or fire dept. unless it's a real emergency, and seeing that this could have been a way worse situation- we were really happy to know our fire dept. came through for us. It's nice to know these guys are just down the street from us, in case a REAL emergency happens one day. I should hope I never have to call them again, but if I do, I am certain they'll come through for us again! We love our Fire Department!!!

I live in foster city and we were skating late because we are chefs and bartenders who just wanted to skate. We had three responding officers - one map and two female - who were all very professional and understanding throughout. They told us that skating there after hours wasn't allowed, we apologized and admitted that we already knew that and predicted the outcome. They ran our numbers - as is procedure - and thanked us for our cooperation as they shooed us away. It was nice to see my neighborhood police force respond so quickly and politely to a report, regardless of which side of that report I happened to be on. 10/10, I feel safe knowing that my locale's enforcement is what I saw it to be tonight.

Over the past 2 months I have been stopped 4 times. First I got scoped out at night and stopped for having no front license plate, secondly another officer had pulled me over for having no exhaust tips... when their vehicles don't come equipped with them either. Another time they pulled me over for not using my signal to change lanes, These police officers have never experienced real crime and are a bunch of rookie cops. They feel as if they can pull you over just to validate your residency in Foster City. A very sad police department, and a nuisance to the Foster city community.
