I attended a baby shower here on a Sunday and everyone kept on asking me where this venue was from…read morethe pictures. I've previously attended children's parties at Washington Park where they have a huge playground nearby. There are plenty of bathrooms here and there's even a parking garage which closes at a certain time. There is a parking lot and if you can't find parking there's street parking around the neighborhood. Beautiful facility, huge kitchen, plenty of space, even a stage in the Sequoia Room. I heard it can be pretty pricey and you get a better rate as a resident of Burlingame. You do a walkthrough with staff at the end of your event. You're not responsible for putting away the chairs or tables but you are responsible to remove everything and sweep the floor.

a really beautifully redesigned building, with it's grand re-opening in summer 2022. i came to tour…read morethe building and the classrooms/studios since i would be teaching there starting in the fall and was amazed by how sleek and modern the facility was. there are two floors of rooms and open spaces to be used, as well as outdoor space that opens into/connects to washington park. fast forward 2.5 yrs, i have been regularly teaching senior fitness classes here and absolutely love this new space. each room has built in controls for temperature control, including a control to activate the overhead fans. most rooms have access to an outdoor space/patio, which also allows us to prop open the door for natural, fresh air. several rooms have tv screens, and speakers, perfect for a lecture or presentation. the front desk staff is always helpful, and there are usually at least 2-3 folks manning the desk in case anyone needs anything. guests may park in the dedicated parking lot or in the covered parking structure. however, on a busy day, when many programs are happening, it's hard to get a spot so i resort to street parking, which is always free and plentiful. super close to downtown burlingame, so i often hop over for a coffee or lunch after teaching!

A love letter to the Fil Am commmunity is the best way to describe KKC! In a relatively small space…read moreyou can find so much packed inside, from art on the walls, to children's' books and gifts created by local Filipino American artists and creators, to learning about local orgs to get involved in or resources for mental health, know your rights, and how to support kababayans. They have a range of milk teas for $10 and popular ones include the turon milk tea (which truly does taste like it!) and mango float. They are sweet but delightful to sip while you chill at the cafe whether you have work to do or want to indulge in a creative project. The cost of the boba goes toward fundraising for youth initiatives and other community needs! The times i have visited they've hosted free pop ups and events like a clothing swap and dessert tasting. Wifi also worked great! They are lovely advocates for community and also recently just started a community pantry. Check them out or follow them on socials for events!!

I loved all the different local artists and different things to read. I really appreciated their local resources they provided.
