Maybe Manchester's vibrant foodie scene has turned me into a snob or maybe Bellini's had an off day, it happens to us all, but on this particular occasion I was left with a mixed feeling on the place. I was really looking forward to it as I'd heard fantastic things, and as stated, the place looks fantastic! The guys working were friendly enough and seemed genuinely Italian which gives great culture to a place, just on this visit, the service or rather speed of it, let them down massively. The food, Antipasto platter to start and Meat Pizza for mains, actually tasted great and the options of Parmesan and Olive Oil on top finished it perfectly. However waiting 45 minutes for your starters in a half full restaurant isn't great, so for that and that alone, you guys lose a star. Look on the bright side though Bellini, no doubt I'll be back in the future and on a night that I can drink more than 1 glass of red wine, so you could see this jump up soon!

My wife is vegetarian and says it's the restaurant she always wanted to open in Ramsbottom. On a Sunny day, the roof retracts upstairs and they provide sun glasses. The wine and Prosecco are excellent. When we have friends from America over, it's always either here and / or The Hungry Duck. The staff are lovely and even when it's busy, which it is, they usually try desperately to find you a table. Chicken, vegetarians, sea food lovers - this place is amazing. One tip for meat eaters who love steak...The steaks at Tre Ciccio are NOT on a par with the Hungry Duck. If you want to a superb steak it's Joe's Hungry Duck all day. The Chateau Briand fillet cut there for two is truly amazing and Joe will tell you all about how they cut it, where on the cow it comes from etc. However that's not a criticism of Tre Ciccio it's just a fact.

They've been here for probably 20 years or more now, and the location of several of my family's celebratory meals in the past - it always seems to be bustling with diners inside. They've recently updated the menu to remain fresh with current tastes. Last night it was for a friend's birthday so we committed ourselves to having three courses :) We ordered two Pane all'aglio (garlic breads) - one with cheese, one with tomato, to munch on whilst we looked at the menu - they were so moreish. Most of us went for either meatballs or marinated ribs for starters. The portions are generous so be mindful if you've already had the aforementioned garlic breads! For mains, pasta and pizza features strongly (as you'd expect), but there are quite a few alternatives such as steaks and fish dishes. My ravioli, when sprinkled with parmesan and black pepper, was hearty and delicious. For dessert I ordered what ended up being one of the largest servings of tiramisu I'd ever seen; though it was so light and creamy it wasn't difficult to polish off! Despite it being very busy the service was efficient and friendly - we were well taken care of. They're an old local favourite that I'd recommend to others.

Verona is good for groups with very friendly staff but they do add on an extra service charge of 10% for groups of 8 or more, so be warned. Their grace, speed and efficiency comes at a price.

They never checked whose food was who's, then my sons dinner never arrived. Nobody came back to check. I had to go into the pub to chase them. About 10 mins after me complaining they arrived. They really didn't care. The previous month they had a ridiculous system implemented which seems to have gone, where they force you to order food from the table and not the bar. So you would have to order your drinks separately. They said this was to prevent people leaving without paying. They made a mess of this as well. Regardless I offered to pay it all up front at the till to ease their minds. They said that was not possible. It's all gone a bit wrong up there.
