HP Pavilion (7:30 p.m.): My dad and I went to the game on Saturday (San Jose played the Utah Blaze). It was at least the 6th SaberCats game that I've been to. As usual, we saved money by parking nearby (it's interesting how many houses are just across the street from HP Pavilion- a house a block away is now up for sale). When we arrived, my dad let himself be frisked. It was comical (he just walked over to one of the guys and raised his arms- I briefly wondered if he had done something in the past that I was unaware of). I had about as many items on me, but just walked right up to the doors. The edges of the main stairs currently feature some cool images of the San Jose Sharks (it's sad that they just got eliminated from the playoffs). We had great seats (we were 10 rows back, and were only blocked off from seeing kicks go through the left uprights), and our tickets were just $9 each (my dad took advantage of a promotion). The guy to my left was annoying (he went to the game with his dad too, and I wish his dad had been sitting next to me). He had some booming claps (he almost made me go deaf), and he was too wound up early on (he clapped over every little thing). Only 2 vendors were around (I'm glad that we weren't hungry- only a few kiosks were open too). One sold cotton candy, and the other sold Dippin' Dots (Banana; Chocolate; Rainbow). I was tempted to buy some, but didn't. The woman who sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" was pretty fine. She also had a beautiful voice (I actually noticed). T&A: "Stop teasing me!" (what a guy behind us kept saying to the young woman who goes out on the field to signal the beginning and end of commercial breaks). The woman is "too skinny" for my dad's taste, and I think the woman the current one replaced was hotter. It's cute, though, the way the new woman dances. You can tell that she has a lot of fun during games (the other woman was more serious). The SaberKittens were also standing very close to us, but I didn't actually look at them much. With a few exceptions, the women aren't that hot this year. The Kiss Cam action kind of sucked. Too many old couples were featured, and this one guy was clueless as to what he was supposed to do until the camera started to cut away. A ton of penalties were called. This guy and his sons couldn't make up their minds: "Hey refs! You suck!" "Hey refs! You're great!" o_O A Utah wide receiver made a "flying catch over the boards," and another one went over the boards a few minutes later. It was also memorable when San Jose defensive back Clevan Thomas made a 50-yard interception return for a touchdown in the 3rd quarter. The SaberCats normally draw over 10,000 fans (the attendance on Saturday was 8,438). Still, it often got very loud inside. Some fans also did some crazy dances. A few guys even took off their shirts ("No, no. Put your shirts back on. Please."). I kind of agree with another reviewer ("no more cowbell!"). I'm used to it, but some fans bring cowbells and ring them too fuc---- much. You might think that you're at a farm. Free!: The SaberCats have always treated their fans well. This is what was given away during the game: -3 footballs (fans get to keep balls that wind up in the stands). A guy at the end of our row caught the ball that was thrown away at the end of the game. -A whole row got Lillie Mae's "famous" BBQ sauce. -Another row got Buffalo Wild Wings (I think this occurred when a guy threw a football between the uprights- he had 2 tries, but was good in his 1st attempt). -Another row got Round Table Pizza. -Yet another got In-N-Out food (in most cases, vouchers are given out only). They are one of the original mls teams from the beginning in the 90s. Chris Wondolowski is the legendary local player. The stadium is open and modern with food trucks, open air bar and a great atmosphere. The fans are passionate and make the environment fun. It's a family friendly environment. Tickets are reasonable for sports games. The reason I give 3 stars is because the owners and management have turned this team into one of the worst in the league. The owners refuse to keep up with investment in players like other teams. It makes being a supportive fan very difficult. The good news is that they recently fired the awful general manager and things will hopefully improve.

Fight Night at the Tank is largely a showcase of new local professional boxing talent getting their first big break in a big event setting. There are usually 5 or 6 bouts, mostly the lighter weights (fly, feather, welter, junior middle, middle), and they go between 4 and 10 rounds each. There is plenty of room to spread out since only about 3,000 are in attendance on any given night in the comfy confines of HP Pavilion. The mood inside HP on fight night is always one of electricity and excitement, as there is always the chance that someone will die. On this particular night (November 16), all the goombahs, bookies, pimps, tuffies and skinny white boys eagerly awaited Andre Ward, Olympic middleweight gold medalist, Greece '04, who beat the crap out of some unknown from Gary, Indiana. But it went all six rounds at least. Bout 5, the main event, matched a couple of washed up old school veterans against each other, for whatever reason. One was a tall lanky hispanic dude. The other was a scrappy scrawny cracker from Miami named Vitali Popitko who was balding and had a nice rose color to him. Although I worried that a strong wind would blow him over, I had to put my money on the Great White Hope, clearly the underdog. Well it just so happens that we would get our money's worth on this very special night as the two would pummel and beat each other merciless. The hispanic guy had blood gushing from his left eye and the Great White Hope must've had a busted rib or two cuz he went down on one knee in obvious pain five or six times. Great White battled courageously as the hispanic guy sucker punched him over and over working those busted ribs. In the end, the two old-timers battled Jake LaMotta style through 3 rounds of the 10 round bout, but Popitko succumbed to the agonizing pain of the busted ribs. Either that or he was a real big pussy cuz I didn't see him absorb that many square shots. In any case, Fight Night is just good, clean, wholesome, bloody, violent, fun for the whole family! Bring all the little goombahs!

I had a blast this weekend watching Stars on Ice with Team USA's figure skating champions. The…read moretickets were affordable, and I was able to sit close enough to take close-up shots, but not close enough to smell their sweat. The skaters delivered a spectacular performance, with Alyssa Lui as the main star of the show. My favorite performances include Alyssa reenacting her Olympic performances; Glenn, Levito, and Alyssa dancing to "Golden" from Demon Hunters; and Illia dancing to Eminem's "8-Mile". The bathrooms were clean, and the audience was respectful and mindful of others. I'm sad that they didn't perform a second show in Northern California. 10/10!!!!!!

Over the years I've seen multiple Sharks games-many concerts here,I've been to March Madness multiple times at this arena but my favorite events at this arena is probably the multiple times I watched UFC live at SAP Center,followed closely by the now defunct StrikeForce MMA fights that used to have shows at this great venue. Of course being that I live in the Sacramento area now as opposed when I lived in the East Bay,the trips take a bit more planning and usually involve an overnight stay at one of the many great hotels in the area but that doesn't actually make the events at this event any less fun,in fact it enhances them. One of the true beauties of this arena is the way the city has built up the area around the arena-just a short walk away there are a plethora of incredible restaurants and bars that are great to enjoy either before or after events depending on the day of the week-I will admit I may have had to carry the wifey out of the Old Wagon Saloon after indulging a bit too much after a great event at the Sap Center-my point being-so many great options in the area for entertainment both post and pre events at this arena. As with every arena,traffic and parking are quite the challenge here-there is onsite parking but it is extremely pricey-I always find using light rail to get in and out of events at this arena is still the best value in the game. Inside the arena,it's been very well maintained and is very modern for an arena that is almost 33 years old-bathrooms are super convenient and generally always clean. The staff have always been extremely helpful and were definitely helpful when I first learned about hockey etiquette-I will always appreciate them for that. Food at this stadium is plentiful-though there is still stadium pricing so that's to be expected-Beer pricing is nothing unique-very standard but they do have some cool options,my last trip I picked up a hockey stick that I could drink my beer out of-I love that thing. In closing-If you ever find yourself with an event that is going to take place at this arena-I would not hesitate to go to this arena and enjoy yourself-it's a world class venue and I'm sure you will have a great time.....even if the Sharks lose

Here is my story. I saw my first game at Kezar Stadium in 1967. I have followed the niners closely my entire life. I have watched a couple hundred niner games on TV both home and away. I never liked Candlestick for football, so did not become a season ticket holder until Levi's was built. I have had two tickets in the club section, 50-yard line since 2014. I paid license fees for those seats. Our first few years there we found the sun was a bit much on that side and began looking for more tickets. In 2021 we added 4 seats into a new section called Owners Patio. We stayed there for a few years, when again the sun was an issue so we tried the North Owners Patio which was worse for sun and terrible for watching the game, too many rowdy , drunk fans in that area. We moved back to the South Owners Patio, purchasing 4 seats last season. Typically, each year the team would send us an email in early June asking if we were going to renew our seats, and for the past 4 years we have. This year we did not get an email, so we sent one to the team asking about renewing our 4 seats again and we got this surprising response: From 49ER SALES PERSONNEL: "I figured it would be easier to converse over the phone but happy to work through via email. Your South Owners Patio seats from last season are not available to the public for this upcoming season, so I have 2 renewal options for you: North Owners Patio * Row 2, seats 3 to 5 - 3 seats total * Row 1, seats 9 & 10 - 2 seats total "Please note, your seats prior was on the South Owners Patio, and these are on the North Owners Patio. Please also note you can purchase both blocks above (5 total) or purchase either single block - 3 seats total or 2 seats total" Notice neither of these options include 4 seats, which is what I had and what I was expecting to renew. I subsequently found out our seats were taken by "Ownership". Meaning The 49ers took on some minority owners during the offseason and they needed 10 more seats because there was no more room in Jed York's suite. Now it's correct to say that these seats were not guaranteed as no license fee was required to purchase them, so the 49ERS had the right to take those seats. Using the terms not available to the public this year, implies something one off happened and maybe you can get them back next year. It's pretty doubtful the seats taken by new minority owners are going to be available next year. NOT SURE WHY THEY EVEN BOTHERED TO SAY ANYTHING WOULD BE AVAILABLE WHY NOT TELL THE TRUTH HERE AS YOU ARE SCREWING OVER YOUR CUSTOMERS ANYWAYS. You would think however that maybe they shouldn't just nab them without having replacement seats available, no? I have spent over $ 400,000 for tickets in the past 5 years, you would have thought that mattered, but alas it did not. I have owned and operated a business for the past 37 years, and I can assure you this is no way to treat a loyal longtime customer. Sadly, disappointed my seats were taken from me, I will now work to disengage from my other tickets and determined not to financially support anything 49ers. Suffice it to say, THE NINERS SUCK.

The place is a dream for sports lovers. Giant screens for watching your favorite teams, and a plethora of facilities and activities for expending energy. An illuminated video game arcade, giant claw machines, hoops, billiards, and the most cornhole boards I've ever seen in a single setting. Multiple rinks on site... four volleyball courts fit into one, two separate soccer fields, and a roller rink where roller hockey is probably also played, from the looks of it. But this past Friday, I partook in Open Skate here. The skating session started with an annoying online waiver process (required for first-timers) and a $15 fee for an hour-and-a-half time slot. They charge an extra fee for skate rentals, but luckily I have my own rollerblades. Also got myself a green bead necklace which they were giving out for free for St. Paddy's week. There were sets of bleachers at each corner, outside the rink, where I left my shoes (underneath) while skating. It was super breezy in there, kept nice and cool during this heat wave. The floor was massive, with color-changing lights glowing in the dim space. A range of music played through the speakers including songs like David Guetta's Titanium, Save Your Tears by The Weeknd, Beauty and a Beat by Justin Bieber, Hips Don't Lie by Shakira, and Airplanes by B.o.B. My favorite part... ZERO skate aids! Mainly skilled skaters on the floor, even a lot of the kids seemingly. Having fewer inexperienced skaters compared to other roller rinks made for a far more enjoyable time. The house lights turned on at the end of the first session, signaling skaters to exit the rink, as there was a 15-minute break before the next group (two time slots available on Friday and Saturday evenings). The Penalty Box Bar and Grill had two sections and order counters. One was an actual bar restricted to the 21+ crowd. The other was the "grill" serving a wide range of menu items including burgers, tacos, sushi, rice bowls, pizza, wings, and more. There was even a separate area with a multitude of craft beers on tap. And the venue offered endless seating options on multiple levels. Whether celebrating a special occasion with family and friends or having a night out with a significant other, The Plex offers more than enough to keep visitors of all ages active and entertained.

We've had two very special family gatherings at The Plex over the past few months, and I can't say…read moreenough wonderful things about the experience. In November 2025, we celebrated my mother's 90th birthday there, and in March 2026 we returned for her Celebration of Life. Both events were handled with such care, kindness, and professionalism by the amazing management and staff. A special thank you to Alex Del Angel and Elsa for going above and beyond to make everything perfect. Elsa did a beautiful job creating a slideshow that played on the TVs in the area of The Plex where we gathered to celebrate Mom's life. It meant so much to our family and added such a personal, heartfelt touch. What makes this place especially great for family events is that there's truly something for everyone. My young granddaughters had plenty of games and activities to keep them happily busy, while my kids enjoyed playing pool, darts, and spending time in the arcade. Many members of our family also play indoor soccer there every week, so it's already a place that feels like part of our lives. The Plex is more than just a venue--it's a welcoming community space where families can come together, celebrate milestones, and make lasting memories. Thank you again to the entire team for helping us honor my mom in such a meaningful way.

I believe this organization pay Yelp to suppress negative reviews! I highly DO NOT recommend to take your son to this organization. Please read my story below to prevent your family from a lots of problems brought by three individuals ( the owner Brooks, Ulysses and a guy by the name of Johnny. We were recommended by one of neighbors to join this Tunderbird club. My son was in 5th grade and when I called Brooks and told him what I expected from the basketball he agreed to have a tryout for my son the next day. His tryout was so ridiculous that even I could play basketball. He told my son that he is very good and came over to give me the cost of program. I did paid him fully and started his awful so called practices in a old dark church buildings with no air conditioning at all. After several practices I noticed that he is mixing 8th and 9th graders with 5th graders. Obviously a 5th grader can not even compete nor even practice with the older kids. When I brought this to Brooks attention he said "Oh well, do not worry my kid will be better as a result". This was his first big LIE! The very first game he did not even played my son at all and played his favorite people including Johnny's son in which his son did not even made one shot. when I talked to him as to why my son was not played at all he told me that he will soon... This was his second big LIE! Game after game he only played hie own favorite people and not my son. Overall with 22-24 games my son only played total of only 20 minutes TOTAL!!!! Game after game my son was either sat down or when he would go the court he would be pulled from the game with if few MINUTES!!!! Again when I asked him why I was given a promise but an empty one. Until today we do not know why my son benched all the games. Brooks, is a serial LIER only! After we pulled him out of this awful club and when I confront Brooks with it he told me "he does not want to go there". We PAID his fees, we attended all the games and practices but my son was abused by the so called coach and his assistance coach (Ulysses). As for the Ulysses ( Asswipe), he is a terrible example for kids. Just his look tells you that he does not come from a good family and his up bringing is not to normal standard of people from the bay area. I am not sure where did Brooks found this man. Not only he does NOT know anything about basketball but his team looses all the time when he is so called coaching! I firmly believe that the only reason he is coaching is because of his 2nd grader son in which he mixed with my son team and he played this little guy all the time. He is such a stupid person to put his little boy to play with tall 8th graders in which it is just a matter of time to get hurt physically at the game. If he has no regards for his kid then you can imagine what he will do to your kids! As for the so called assistant (johnny) he seems to be from a "Ghetto". He always is backing Brooks no matter wrong or right and only is concern with his own kid. He put ALL parents and team mates aside so hi own kid plays ALL the games all the time even though his own son fails to make a basket or plays correctly. As a matter in fact his son bullied my son all the time and when I brought this to Brooks attention I was told "survival of the fittest". So did not even talked to Johnny's son to stop bulling my son and others! Please if you care about your son in any bit, do not take him to this organization. These people run this club like a "Gangsters" and only interested in your money! Do not believe hie website and his garbage so called mission statement either because non of it is true. Sorry for the long review but you as the parents needed to hear our family experience with these people were. Note: It has been my experience that there are many awful so called AAU's in this area but I have found a team by the name of "roadrunner" is a decent one.
