We stayed at the SF RV resort and I will my review based on our reseach and my expectation. I went into this rv resort understanding the word "resort" is used loosely due to prior reviews and YouTube reviews. I will state a few things before this visit. We checked out reviews, videos and called before booking. We also came after hours and the completed checked in by phone to advise of our late check in. We were able to find our spot immediately when we arrived. The Sf rv is older and has basic amenities of a heated pool, laundry on site facility and on staff day management M-Su. There are long term tenants at this location mixed with Thousand Trails members and public bookings. This is a older resort with limited space in each site and it can be a tight squeeze due to the size of someone's rv or trailer. People keep to themselves and it's pretty low key. You can walk right out to the gated fence to see the ocean and smell the sweet breeze. You are right off the freeway HWY 1, next to a grocery store and several restaurants. Management was extremely attentive and always smiled and checked in on us. I forgot her name she worked the weekend of our stay, she gave great recommendations for Pacifica and beaches to take our little one, we took her up on a suggestion of Pacifica State Beach. We will definitely be back to visit this summer because we have a Trails membership and it is close to SF and the beaches. We deducted a star as they do not have the open recreation room as it was closed due to repair with no estimate date to reopen. They removed the child play structure. Parking is extremely limited and hard to find parking so normally will park in you're alloted space if possible. read more

Quick few hour drive from Elk Grove to take motorhome for a few days away. Pulled right in and got hooked up. Park was clean, Staff was nice there were a couple public restrooms closed but we had one in our motorhome. Weather was a little overcasted but that's the bay. Walking distance to some stores and lots of friendly people to talk to. read more

I'm not sure why everyone doesn't leave a 5 star review here. Check in is so easy, convenient, and considerate. The parking starts a super large and plenty spacious. I haven't been to a place with this great a set up I'm I was really impressed. Amenities are available, but you'll want to confirm when you book your reservation. We arrived after hours but our welcome packet was waiting at the front entrance. There are plenty of grass for dogs so no worries there. Plus our teenage boys played ping pong for hours in the rec room. Bathrooms and showers are decent but honestly we mostly used the ones in our travel trailer. Oh and they offer laundromat and a pool for those scorching hot days. The grounds are well maintained and there's someone performing some level of work on the property just about every day. They have some construction going on not too far from the pool but that means improvements are being made and I love it. My family felt safe here which is what matters most. Oh! Forgot to add that I used the laundromat and the hot water is cold and the cold water is hot on the top load washers. Just be aware. read more

I would like to express my gratitude for the Exceptional Customer Service I received by Jennifer and Sam at the San Francisco RV Resort. They were both very friendly, professional, and displayed excellent customer service skills. Upon arriving to the property I was greeted by Sam with kindness and professionalism. He went above and beyond to assist me with my inquiries. After having a slight issue with my assigned space, Jennifer intervened and appeared to be sincere in ensuring that I had the best experience possible at the Resort. She is definitely the gold standard of what customer service should be. I worked in Public Safety for a major city in the Bay Area for over 22 years and I know how easy it is for people to complain when they're not happy with service, but it's rare to compliment excellent service when they receive it. So with that being said I would be remiss to not take the time to compliment both individuals for the Excellent Customer Service They Provided (Friendly, Attentive, Patience and Professional). They are definitely assets to the park and represent the San Francisco RV Resort well. read more

I am leaving two stars for the location in proximity to the City, and the view. Otherwise, this like many of the Thousand Trails parks, is in a terrible state of disrepair. I have stayed here dozens of times over the years, only for the location. It has gotten consistently worse as time goes by. The last two times I've stayed, I have been awoken by police raiding drug dealers that are doing business out of their dilapidated travel trailers on the southside of the park. They do not monitor the number of cars associated to sites. Many people park in the road and over the white lines. This makes the already cramped sites seem even smaller. On one of my trips I had to wait for nearly 2 hours for my neighbor to come back and move their car so that I could pull out. To add in insult to injury I was then charged $30 for late checkout, even though it wasn't my fault. I was told that there was nothing that they could do because I was already put in the system as a late checkout. The electrical service has also deteriorated. Earlier this year, the breaker box that I was hooked up to shorted out and completely destroyed my power distro and front air conditioner. They ran a cable from the next space over so that I could use 110 for my remaining two days. However, they would not take responsibility for repairs, even though it was obvious that it was their fault. They said that I needed to claim it with my insurance and that they would then give me a credit towards future stays. Also, please be wary of junk fees. They are now charging $46 a night claiming that it is for site specific requests, even if you don't ask for a specific site when booking. Please understand that I am not a long-term/ permanent camper, I just come into town for a few days every couple months for business and would rather stay in my RV than a hotel, but if this degradation and mismanagement continue, I will probably stop staying here. read more

This is a small RV park with tiny sites that pretends to be a 'resort'. The only thing resort-like about the place is the extravagant pricing and extra fees. I had stayed here years ago, before they joined the franchise that added all the extra fees, and at that time the park was worth it (and a little larger before a whole row of sites fell off the cliff). With the franchise membership, they not only raised their rates, but now they tack on all the extra fees. NOT worth it at current pricing. read more

This park may be as good as it gets in this area of SFO. It is basically a large cement parking lot. Lots of old and tired rvs here and plenty of outside storage etc that is unsightly. If you get a spot with an ocean view that is my only reason for 2 stars. read more

Very expensive to stay here, 3 nights over $500. The smallest spaces. Slide outs practically touch each other. Lots of permanent campers. No camp store. No WiFi. Bathrooms were pretty gross. Surrounding area is not the greatest either. Gate to walking path is accessible to public. Meaning anyone can walk in anytime. There are a lot of homeless a block out from the gate. We made sure to lock up everything each night. Electric bikes back on the motorhome and locked each night. It's a one and done for us. read more

I stay here 6 months out of the year. Location very convenient. Freeway very close by, local shopping like Walgreens Safeway Starbucks and small businesses and if you like to golf Sharp park golf course.The view of the ocean is outstanding with access to the beach. Check in is fast and easy. Bathrooms with showers always open and clean and laundry room. The management and staff are helpful and very friendly. They also host special events for the holidays. read more

We're actually Pacifica locals and recently needed a place to stay while we were in the process of a housing renovation. I honestly didn't have high expectations from passing the area every day, but after staying here several times and had family stay here as well when visiting, I've been pleasantly surprised! 5 stars overall, because I was blown away by their hospitality. They have been genuinely nice and accommodating. Shout out to David (SF RV PARK) and Lauren (with Thousand Trails) who have been gems during our stays. I can't thank you both enough for all the help, kindness and pleasant conversations we've had. You made it feel like I was talking to friends all along :) Pros: there's a nice fence perimeter and grassy areas, even though you're in a parking lot. It's walking distance to everything you need (restaurants, cafes, post office, grocery store, bakeries, gas, beach, etc). Your view is the Pacific Ocean. We have seen many whales migrating during our stays and nothing beats the sunsets. Dog friendly! The bathroom and showers are clean and comfortable. Perfect water pressure to clean the kiddos. There's plenty of room to dress and dry your hair. Office is big enough for kids to play games, and theres a nice coffee and tea area to get some caffeine! Cons: it's not fancy, if that's what you're looking for. And it can get windy and cold, so bring a jacket. Otherwise I highly recommend staying here! -This place is always full so make sure to reserve ahead of time. read more

Very pretty ocean view, is a very chill and quiet area ! And close to San Francisco tourist spots, be sure to check out Mazzettis bakery nearby for some sweet treats and the Taco Bell cantina. I'm not sure why there were so many bad reviews for this resort but from my experience we had a good time. Definitely coming back during the summer time. Great place to stay if you are visiting the San Francisco area. Close to everything you may want to do. Staff couldn't be nicer. We were doing laundry and we're running a little late for checkout, we were allowed to stay in our spot after checkout time, they even offered us another spot to wait in. Nice game room with ping pong and games for our kids. The view cannot be beat. The spots are tight but it was no bother at all. Everything worked as it should. If you want a relaxing time along the ocean in your RV, this is not your place. The electrical outlet for out space was not to code with three pieces of wire arcing at any given time. Cable and WiFi ... is not functional ( even was agreed upon by the employee) and it is not a Thousand Trails worthy location- with unkept and maintained RVs it made us feel very uncomfortable and disheartened with the amount of money we did pay. Ohhhhh, the cliff area that fell into the ocean from the Winter storms of 2022 are still in ill-repair with no sign of ever being made safe for any visitors. I would not be surprised if the hillside slides into the ocean this winter. We won't be back. read more

Very unimpressed. Electricity doesn't work. We arrived needing to use the restroom,; it needed a code. We were told to look at the welcome email. Looked for the welcome email; none there. We had to go ask for a bathroom code. Bathroom code worked once, but won't work again. Tried to call to get assistance to use the bathroom and got a message the office is closed. They don't bother to tell you when the office will re open. If there's an after hours number, I can't find it. So, we're paying $170 a night for an opportunity to be parked on pavement and what appears to be the SFO flight path route. Oh....you want WiFi? Extra charge for that. We should've used a Walmart parking lot. At least then we'd be able to use the restroom. read more

Some of the bathrooms were not in working order. There was a lot of theft at night because there is a walking path that goes through the park. We slowly had our bikes stripped, and our neighbors had items stolen at night as well. There is no security or caring about this situation. An over priced parking lot - there are a couple of good spots here & the other 99% suck. We had 1' between our slider & our neighbors- forget about putting a chair out or awning. Paid $517. For a 3 day stay - would never stay here again or recommend this place. read more

First off, we are Thousand Trails members and pay $20 a night to stay here. If I had to pay $113 for a weeknight, I'd find an RV park up by Vallejo for $50 and drive to the city. Besides that, we like being close to the City and the site we've been in twice has an ocean view out our back window. The spots are tight but you can get to the beach by walking down a block. There's a gate that goes to the beach but I don't know if it's locked. The laundry room is fine and the people have always been nice. But people should know that the spots are tight. I guess that's the price you pay to be so close to the city. EDIT* The gate is open and the path down to the beach was open yesterday but they are obviously working on building steps so you'd need to be careful on it. read more

Fun area. We stayed here so my husband could swim the Alcatraz Shark Fest (unfortunately cancelled) and our stay was good. We didn't intend to be camping in a wilderness area so this is perfect. We arrived early on a Friday (around 1pm) and pretty much had pick of the area that we reserved. The spots are small, for sure and your neighbor is right next to you but it is a trade off to be in the town of Pacifica by and near the city. Friends of ours live in San Mateo and it took us 15 minutes to get there and 30 minutes to get San Francisco. Lots of little eateries close by. We have electric scooters and they were perfect for scooting over to dinner or a bar near by. All in all, we will definitely add this to our list of regular spots. read more

I personally did not pick this place out, but our friends all purchased a new R. V. so we were excited just to be with them. We had four rigs all side by side which was a plus. When we arrived it certainly looked like an R.V. storage that happens to be near the ocean. The male staff there were very friendly and easy going. We were parked next to a traveling nurse and her dog, an angry veteran across the way and a family living there full-time which was interesting. This is NOT kid friendly and if your kids wanted to play and enjoy themselves they would have to be in the R.V. or you would have a trail taking them outside of the R.V. park. I did not feel comfortable relaxing here and everyone seemed pretty uptight and not very happy. On a positive note, they had a heated pool if you like public pools, the beach access was easily accessible since they finally fixed it and the pier is one mile away and you can choose to walk or drive. We will probably do regular camping with dirt and we prefer being surrounded by beautiful trees. This definitely was not worth the price, but I am glad we tried camping in Northern part of California. read more

This place sucks. There's not that much room between your neighbor. My wife told me that she waited 20 minutes for the shower to get warm and it never did. We belong to RPI and they ended up putting us in the far far back. We were there from Tuesday through Friday. The whole time those spots upfront were empty. The guy at the front desk said this is what RPI negotiate. Thanks RPI for taking away another park. read more

It was an expensive parking lot. Ground was so uneven the levelers couldn't level the RV. If the vibe at this place has totally changed. There is new management and everyone that seems to work here now is friendly and helpful. This park used to kind of be a place of no you can't do that,take that down, turn that off et cetera... Now it seems to be more of a common sense place and everyone is a lot more considerate of one another including the staff. Prices have gotten kind of out of control ...but At least they have started to make the place a lot nicer. Hot tub is hot, pool is clean, bathrooms are nice.. If only they still had ping pong in the rec room. read more
