Any questions concerning class assignments and curriculum always get answered right away by all his teachers and counselor as well. In that aspect, my son has had a successful experience here. However... PARENTS BEWARE!! If your child is a victim of bullying and harassment on this campus, this school will lack follow through when it comes to implementing serious consequences to abusers. Be prepared to take your own legal action in order to protect your child. Bullies are given a slap on the hand and the victims are offered mental health support services. To add more insult to injury, if your child shares a class with their well known abuser, they will not switch the bully to a different classroom instead, they will expect the victim to change classes. Parents beware.

I even requested bus for my child to avoid the chaos, but the school doesn't have enough room. The best solution? Add more buses! My experience at this school has been honestly frustrating and disappointing. One of the biggest issues is how disorganized everything is. Important information is either given last minute or not clearly explained at all, which makes it harder to stay on top of assignments and expectations. It feels like students are blamed for things that aren't fully communicated in the first place. The teaching quality is also really inconsistent. Some teachers care and try, but others seem uninterested or don't explain things well, leaving students confused and stuck teaching themselves. When you ask for help, it can feel like you're just brushed off instead of actually supported. The rules can also feel unfair or overly strict, especially when they're enforced differently depending on the student. It creates a sense that things aren't equal, which makes it harder to feel respected or motivated. Overall, this school doesn't feel like a place that prioritizes student success or well-being. Instead of helping students grow, it often just adds stress and frustration to an already difficult experience.

My niece attends Royal Oak middle school. This is her first year and it's been nothing but a…read morehorrible experience. They allow bullying at this school. Her dad has talked to the school, principal, counselors and teachers with absolutely no help. They know who the problem kids are and they do nothing about it. Her dad even went to the school district for help. They told him, go back and speak to the school because they know the student. My niece is autistic and was put in a regular class, expected to fend for herself. The year started with bullying, now they torment her and the school and the district sit in their offices with their arms crossed and do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Special needs children are covered under the disability act. They have the right to attend school like the other kids. I guess the only way to solve this is to take legal action and get the media involved. Maybe then they will go into damage control!

This school has an amazing staff! The teachers, school counselors, the principal, even the school aids are all extremely friendly and helpful! This school focuses on OUR children! Which is extremely hard to find! Today my son graduated as a HAWK and it was an honor to be able to be a part of such a wonderful experience. Absolutely love this school! Can't wait for my girls to attend this middle school next year.
