This review is for their wedding venue, not the golf course itself…read more This was one of our top contenders thanks to the expansive space and strong overall value. Chelsea was excellent throughout the tour and provided a thorough walkthrough of the venue and its services. =PROS= *The drive into the venue is scenic, secluded, and feels removed from the city *Ample paved parking for guests *Huge bridal suite that included a private bathroom and was accessible starting at 8 AM *Spacious cocktail hour and ceremony areas overlooking the surrounding landscape *Ceremony chairs and arch are included, though there is a moving fee if you plan to reuse the chairs indoors for the reception *Reception hall features high ceilings and includes tables and chairs *Reasonably priced in house catering with a solid selection of hors d'oeuvres *No cake cutting fee *Reasonably priced meals for children and vendors =CONS= *Virtually nonexistent Wi Fi *The groom suite is connected to the locker room, requiring belongings to be relocated later in the evening *The included chairs resemble standard conference room seating, so most couples will likely want to upgrade to Chivari chairs for an additional rental fee *Dark brown carpeting in the reception room =NOTES= *Day of coordination services are required, though outside coordinators are allowed *Option to upgrade the cocktail hour location, which offers a lovely patio view *The standard cocktail hour space is not shaded and can become quite hot, so expect to rent parasols or other shade options Overall, this was a strong nearly all inclusive venue option. The flexibility in choosing outside day of coordination services was a particularly unique and appealing feature. Personally, the carpeting and the lack of a fully dedicated groom suite made me hesitate before committing. Since the golf course remained active during our visit, we were unable to tour the groom suite, which made the golf course aspect feel slightly more apparent. Still, the ceremony, cocktail, and reception spaces were separated well enough that the property ultimately felt more like a wedding venue than simply a golf course hosting weddings.

This course rewards players who can hit the ball long and accurately with some long par 3's and par 5's. With this visit being my first time playing at Maderas, this course for a high handicapper was tough with the changing elevation. Club selection was very important and getting a clean strike rewards you with a chance. The course overall was in good shape and the greens were tricky so it took a couple of holes to get the speed down. Overall great experience at Maderas as the facility was top tier, staff was excellent and the course was challenging. Definitely put this course on your list and don't forget to say hi to the wild turkeys that roam the course freely.

I'm not sure if Paul is the manager, but he refused to let anyone else help and told me he needed to charge me 50$ so he didn't need to pay for it. Staff totally cool and the food, while it looked like frozen dinners, the pizza was pretty solid! The beer selection was pretty good as my hubby loves Hazys. I loved the cider selection. We had a great date night and he got some golf in and I got some golf swinging lessons. It was perfect for the torrential downpour outside to be able to still get some golf in while we were in Escondido area. The only part that wasn't cool was, the simulator had a few glitches and didn't catch some of our swings, that was a bummer bc I hit some decent ones when it didn't count. Would totally come back to hit some more balls and a casual hang out.

4.5/5 Overview:…read morefirst time at a golf simulator bar, really cool experience, kinda pricey, food was okay, but we had a fun time ---- Pricing: - $35 for 30 minutes (walk-in only) - $65 for 60 minutes - $100 for 90 minutes - $135 for 120 minutes - $10 for club set rentals ---- The simulator areas are in an open area, not private rooms, and behind the hitting area is a couch and a table with some chairs for people in your party to sit and rest. Sometimes the golf ball isn't sensed so make sure you see that it says the ball is sensed on the screen. Otherwise if you hit it, it will not register it. There are different game modes available like driving range, trying to aim into a bucket, or playing an actual game of golf. They also have an instant replay of the hitting area so that you can review your stroke and where you hit the ball. I see the appeal in if you are wanting to try out or work on different areas of golf. Like you can play an entire game without having to be in the hot sun, or see from a top-down view of your club placement when you strike the ball. ---- Food was alright, minus half a star. We ordered the pepperoni pizza ($14) which was steaming hot when it came out and had a crispy bottom. Just a standard pepperoni pizza, nothing amazing. Ambiance wasn't "bar-like" which I liked bc while there was music playing you could still hear your own conversations. Service was great we somehow managed to hit 2 tees on top of the hitting area and they gave us another one each time. Lots of parking bc it shares it with other businesses in the plaza. ---- Overall: whether you are a golf fanatic or just want to try something out, this is a pretty great place to experience. Pricing is basically a dollar a minute you're here, but they have a wide variety of game modes available and the comfort of being indoors.

This change came late in the process, after we had begun planning. Communication was inconsistent & the situation was handled very unprofessionally by both the caterer & the general manager. We were also informed the GM actually contacted another venue to make inquiries about our possible booking & run a background on our event coordinator. While this venue advertises hosting outside events, in our experience the room was withdrawn after initial confirmation in favor of others. This was especially significant as the gathering was planned for a senior veteran. Based on our experience, we highly suggest exploring other venues in the area that were much more respectful and professional.
