Just spoke with dispatcher Kiana #5436. Very helpful. The Encinitas Sheriff's is always helpful to our small business. Thank you.

Ask the Community - San Diego County Sheriff's Encinitas Station

Does the city use a huge white and blue tow truck that has a driver that speaks with a Ukraine accent and looks like a well-manicured dance instructor?

What's not to love about Carlsbad? It has everything you want from a coastal city…read more Carlsbad is one of our favorite staycation destinations. Carlsbad makes for the perfect hub for us when we want to explore coastal north county. With Carlsbad Village and its fabulous selection of shops, restaurants and bars, one really doesn't need to leave to have a great time. However, the Coaster train is right in the heart of the Village. Hop on the train for a short ride to Oceanside, Encinitas or Sorrento Valley. Carlsbad is also close to the likes of coastal cities Solana Beach, Leucadia and Cardiff. Head inland and explore a myriad of breweries in Carlsbad and surrounding San Marcos and Vista. And the beaches! Some of the best beaches in the county, if not in all of California. Nothing but fun to be had in Carlsbad!

Police Department…read more Since moving home to San Diego ten years ago and settling in Carlsbad, I have had a number of encounters with the City of Carlsbad Police Department. These experiences have been on very diverse occasions . The common thread is each one was handled in a dignified, respectful and professional way. This morning early I noticed a homeless man stretched out in the middle of the sidewalk, unmoving. I called 911 and they responded quickly. During the Black Lives Matter march , police presence was obvious but totally non confrontational. A serious family matter had me calling police to my home several years ago. The police response was incredibly nuanced- careful and respectful. I know that in the blizzard of calls and services they respond to, some must have gone a little " sideways." But I just wanted to affirm the entire police department for their presence in our community, in such a supportive manner.

If you speak to the supervisor you will never get one I am still waiting for an officer to call me about why my vehicle was towed which they say is because of a 72 hour which I just move the car 10 hours ago this makes absolutely no sense they personally attacked my vehicle because of some neighbors that were angry with me. I need proof of the vehicle being there for 72 hours because it was not there was no markings on the tires from officers nor was there any sticker on the back of the car just tells me they just came out and hooked it and left. People at the front office are completely disgusting they get super snarky if you have any questions or if you have a little bit of anger toward your situation They will double your anger back at you. Be really careful with these people not the type of officers you want around. Funny thing is I had items and parts stolen from my vehicle where were they then?? They sure like to serve but not protect

The only cost to use them is your time in downloading and setting up an account with ChargePoint through their app. These 2 chargers are located at the front of the building and are available for anyone to use. The only real limitation is that you do not leave your car there for more than 4 hours. I don't know about you, but a CHP office is probably the last place you would want to break this rule at. There's a bunch of shops and restaurants nearby to help pass the time because who is going to sit in a parking lot for 4 hours?

The parks, malls, eateries, movie theatres, neighborhoods, and schools were great places that I can recall. Before COVID, before Manila Mesa, before traffic congestion, before social media, and before overpopulation, Mira Mesa was a great place to grow up in. Hey, I think I turned out alright. I moved out of there early 2000's and I'm glad I did. It just isn't the same anymore. I miss my old stomping grounds that are sadly no longer there or have been renovated or under new ownership. Neighborhoods don't seem so safe anymore. There's an increase in crime and accidents. This year of 2020 hasn't made it easier either. I hate you Covid! I'll always remember the good times where I could play with the neighborhood kids outside, walk to the park, movie theatre, arcade store, or convenience store without a worry in the world. I was fortunate to enjoy my childhood innocence and not be so cautious of people or mass media. No distractions and just enjoyed being a kid. This review is split: 5 stars from 1980s-1990s. 2000s-present gets a sad 1 star. Overall, 3 stars ! Thanks for the unforgettable memories Mira Mesa aka Manila Mesa now. I do come here on a regular to get certain things that I can't find elsewhere. What can I say? It's a love and hate relationship these days.

I was getting geared up to take a photo of myself in camo to send to Marshal, one of my hunting buds to illustrate my excitement, when I heard a helicopter circling near my house. I went outside to see, and realized it was circling our house!!!!! I then started to move to the front of the house as I was hearing sirens coming. 12 cop cars at least pulled up and now I am in my garage to see wtf is going on. Over a mega phone, the say my name and "come out with your hands up we want to talk to you!" I am in shock as I haven't done anything, have no F'n idea what this is about, and start to get paranoid. I barricade my position and open a window to talk back to them. But all they keep saying is the same damn thing, over and over and over for 3 hours!!!!! I'm not kidding. So I started to f with them.... Well, in the end I gave up, was 5150ed and found out that my sister, who lives on the property, and has been institutionalized 16 times for her craziness had told the cops that I was going to scalp our neighbors!!!!!!!! Can you fucking believe that those dumb asses believed her and a caretaker that she pays!!!! I have never been in a mental health facility in my entire life until that shit show! The silver lining, is that I got to check off "police stand off" on my bucket list, and got to check off a first hand account of our mental health system. Which ain't bad. I made some friends as well. The only other issue was, I had no cell phone or reading glasses so I was completely isolated during my stay. For some damn reason the facility couldn't wrap their minds around the fact that a 57 year old male needs glasses to f'n read. Sean Casey

During their limited "business hours", I attempted to drop off my medical sharps containers only to find zero police presence/squads, black-tinted windows and missing door buzzer!!! No one answered my knocking. This only confirms my judgement of their incompetence. I have since filed a complaint with Internal Affairs, as this is a potentially life-threatening fault on behalf of SDPD. With the further lack of police presence on our streets, SDPD is, at the very least, impotent and careless, except when 4 officers decide to rubberneck a vehicle door dent (Renaissance Centre 2023). Confidence shattered
