Ken was recommended through some friends of ours, what could I say; his work quality is so precise down to every detail. As a Super Yacht Chief Officer/Captain (380 Feet Yacht), for the last 15 years, believe me I know what quality work is. I can honestly say that Ken and Jesse have exactly what its needs to qualify in to that category. Ken came out and looked at the job to be done and we did discuss our options. We have some glass blocks in the area where we needed the back splash to be installed as well as some very tricky corners. He was able to schedule us in even though he was busy with other projects. With our slightly angled walls and glass blocks the work became more difficult than anticipated and would require a few extra days of work, which he was fine with (for no additional cost). My wife was on a holiday trip and we wanted for her to come home to a complete kitchen. Ken was so determined that he would finish the job in time, so he even worked additional late hours. As you can see from the pictures, it turned out absolutely beautiful. The backslash looks actually better in reality as the pictures don't show the quality in details. They even got the finishing of the tile to go all the way up underneath the cabinets, so neat that no cover list was needed. Ken & Jesse are one of the most professional contractors that I ever have worked with. I can honestly say so as I have an OCD for details. I would not hesitate for a second to have San Clemente Stoneworks back for any future projects that we may have. read more

We purchased an old beach house in San Clemente and decided the master bath would be our first project. After researching local tile companies on yelp and google San Clemente Stoneworks floated to the top. And man am I glad they did. These guys aren't just a tile company, Ken is a true craftsman an artist. The attention to detail blew me away. He pointed out things he did to make my job better that I would have never known to look for. More work for him--he doesn't take any short cuts. We have had much tile and stone work done over the years. We have even done a lot of tile and stone work on our home ourselves. And, we're pretty much perfectionists. What a great match when perfectionist customers meet a perfectionist contractor. Ken Duvall paid attention to every detail. He sweated the small stuff for us, coming up with better design options that resulted in an a tub surround that exceeded our expectations. We used mosaic tile that required an amazing number of cuts to make it look perfect, but Ken was prepared to do whatever needed to be done to make it look perfect. And, it does. He started out by floating the concrete over mesh, which, in our opinion is far superior to using mortar board. This shower is rock solid. In addition, we have worked with many contractors over the years. But, we have never worked with anyone as meticulously clean as Ken. Each day when he left, the project site was cleaner than it was before he started. It is hard to overstate how important that is. He really pays attention to making the project as low impact on the homeowner as possible. And, he was punctual, dependable, and reliable. In short, we can't recommend Ken Duvall and San Clemente Stoneworks enough. If we ever have another tile or stone project, we won't even bother getting multiple quotes. We'll call Ken. read more

Let me begin by saying we found out about Ken Duvall at San Clemente Stoneworks through Yelp-- we had NO idea what to expect, but took a chance. We called on a Monday morning, and by noon we had an appointment for a bid the next day! After seeing many pics of the work this company did in our area, we were confident knowing we had someone who knows his business well. Through the process of renovating our bathroom, Ken and his super sweet staff were punctual, professional, expeditious and gave us their opinion when we were about to make (a few) big mistakes! The job was finished when they said it would be, and we couldn't be happier with it!!! :) Let me also add, the guys became part of the family during the job, and all the guys were super sweet with my little girls (screaming babies-- I felt bad for their ears). I can't recommend this company enough, they are extremely talented with tile, and have style up the wazoo. Thank you, Ken and all your guys!!! I, also viewed yelp to find someone to remove poorly laid travertine in my master bathroom. I chose Ken Duvall of San Clemente Stoneworks after consulting with 2 other tile businesses. What a difference between the previous tile installation and the work that Ken & crew did. Ken is definitely a master craftsman and the tile looks great! i highly recommend ken duvall! he just did our house in laguna beach and is a real perfectionist......which i love cuz i'm a bit picky!! he did an excellent job! he went above and beyond with his work, as our floors were all very uneven, and he did what he could to fix them which took a lot of his extra time. i am truly grateful!! our house (kitchen, bathrooms, laundry room, fireplace wall) looks great!!!! thanks to you, ken!!!!!!! read more
