Be careful of your safety at this Arco Station at 2749 N. El Camino Real San Clemente Ca. After filling up and having the pump take for ever to fill my tank and running so slowly that the automatic shut off mechanism didn't work. Causing gasoline to pour onto the floor / under my car and around the pump. I went inside the store to inform the attendant "Michael" and he answered me with a quick Fuck You and go to another place. He even flipped me off as he verbally continued to attack me for trying to inform him of what was happening with the pump at this Arco in San Clemente Ca. Not only is this place unsafe from the malfunctioning pumps but you might get physically assaulted by this extremely aggressive attendant by the name of Michael! BE CAREFUL WITH ATM CARD HERE!! This station has had ATM issues since installing new readers. Monday I had to go into the little store where cashier had me swipe card there but still said it was not going through even after I entered my pin. Left with no gas only to find I was charged when I checked later. I went back and the same cashier was apologetic and called the manager who said I had to come in the next morning to see him. Well I just left because he said too bad for me, once I entered my PIN, it was my problem and maybe I should not use a debit card! Come on folks, they only take debit cards or cash or an Arco card that I do not have. I live nearby and am a hardworking 60+ guy. I don't cheat people or lie!! Never going here again, my bank said they will reverse the charge against the station. This gas station sucks! I've been taking my truck here for smog checks for years, but no more. I have a 1999 Toyota Tacoma; the man said he could not smog check my truck today, but come back on Monday. Why? 1999 vehicles require different equipment, which they have, but the guy just didn't feel like smogging my truck today. I spoke to the cashier and basically didn't care, nor does he ever care. I told him I would take my business elsewhere and he said go ahead. And, so, I did. I went to EZ Smog and had no problems getting my truck smogged. read more

If I could give negative stars I would... Absolute worst customer service by both the smog area and the store clerk. I've reported them to the BBB, they're so bad. It's a gas station so my expectations are not astronomically high to begin with but this is just unreal. I've been to this gas station twice and both experiences have been AWFUL. First time was to ask about a SMOG test. The man in the back told me "Whatever you do you need to hurry because I want to leave early and you're bothering me". Appauled but left without much fuss, knowing I would never come back. The second was this weekend, I entered the store to ask for ice. The man mumbled something without looking at me. I said "Excuse me, I'm sorry I couldn't hear you", he then looked up yelled "NO, N - O NO! What? Are you deaf?" Shocked I told him about my last experience with the rude man from the smog test area. Just had the most negative experience yet with the proprietor.Many others prior to this one. I showed up to pumps @ about 6:50 am on 6-18-14. I noticed a Mercedes & a Fiat with the two ladies just sitting there. I got out to get gas when Fiat Lady said the guy showed up late. We chatted for about 10minutes when we decided to go and see what up. Now in a very rude manner the counter dude tells us he's out of gas. Fiat lady says well you just lost a customer. Counter dude responds with SHUT UP! Arco a real class act ! I live 1/2 mile from station & will never spend another nickel in there. Thinking I'm making it up.?Go there & get gas from counter dude . I went to this gas station last weekend and put the pump in and sat back in my car to wait for it to finish like I always do. After five minutes it was only at $20. I decided to wait a little bit longer and when I got out the pump was stuck in my car and gas was spilling everywhere. There was a lot on the ground so it was probably going for at least a minute before I got out there. I went inside and told the girl that was working and she walked right by me with a bucket of sand and said it was probably full and you didn't take it out. I said it supposed to stop automatically not do this. She said nothing at all. Don't go to this gas station. All the reviews I've read our terrible too. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! DO NOT SUPPORT THIS GAS STATION!!! Worst gas station ever. It may have cheap gas compared to a couple other places in town, but it is not the cheapest. I went in a day before I got paid and needed a couple of gallons of gas badly. All I had was a single dollar and 9 dollars in mostly quarters. The guy behind the counter (his name is Mohammad) was extremely rude when he decided to tell me that next time I had better come with all my change in rolls or he would not take my money. Last time I checked money was money. I did not make him count it. I laid it out for him. It took no time from his day but he was arrogant enough to try to lecture me about the change in front of other customers. He basically told me he would rather I went somewhere else then bring in my quarters to buy gas from him. I do not expect stellar customer service form a gas station, but I certainly do not need some angry looking foreign guy trying to lecture me with his rude tone and nasty looks. I asked the guy who his boss was and at first he looked at me like he didn't know what to say, then he proceeded to tell me he was the boss which I highly doubt. After researching online I have found a bunch more bad reviews about this gas station and what a jerk the guy inside is. Don't go here for smog testing! They try to lure you in with a coupon that is web optimized to get them on Page 1 of your Google search. My son took his vehicle to them to get tested and it failed due to the car not being driven enough after a battery disconnect and clearly it showed that the system was not ready to give a reading on the test results. My son took it back 2 days later to have it retested thinking that he would not have to pay again since the car was not ready. He was charged $40 again! This is PURE GREED, people! I will never support this station again and you can bet I will tell everyone else I know not to support this station. Absolute horrendous customer support! It's no wonder they need to spend advertising dollars to have a coupon! Clearly they've made the decision that money trumps all else! They will NEVER get one penny from me again. Can they do it? Yes. Moved back to San Clemente a few months ago, I have been going to this Arco and noticing that there prices on goods inside the station are way overpriced, the station is filthy and there is gas, oil and other chemicals on the ground everywhere. I have not dared to use the bathrooms there; I just don't want to be totally disgusted just yet. It's going to have to be an emergency to do that. I have tried on several occasions to use the window squeegee to clean my windows. The squeegees are really old and dry, they don't work at all and most of the time there is now water/window cleaner in the tubs let alone paper towels to dry the squeegee and window. This gas station needs to pick it up, it's just a place to get gas and that's it. read more
