We're still on the hunt for a good burrito, but the ones we had at San Burrito were not bad. I ordered a small burrito with carne picada, since they didn't have carnitas; what a shame. It was only 1pm too, so wasn't expecting that they'd be short on stuff already. Anyway, my burrito was filled with rice, pico de gallo, cheese and sour cream. I'm not a beans kind of girl, so "ohne Bohnen, bitte." My hubby ordered a large burrito with carne picada and for his salsa, he chose the jalapeño one.
The burritos were wrapped nicely in foil and presented to us on a plate. The tortilla had a slight flaky quality which I really liked. My burrito was tasty. The meat made it not quite 4 stars and it got really oily at the bottom of my burrito. My hubby had to eat his with a fork and knife because it was so oily. I tasted his burrito and the jalapeño salsa had quite the kick!
The staff was friendly and ordering was pretty straight forward, except I didn't see any prices on the menu board. They should change that.
It wasn't until we left the restaurant that we realized we've been inside before when it was a Qrito. No wonder the interior layout looked so familiar! The update San Burrito made, though, was nice, so it's definitely an upgrade in ambiance. I'm hoping to try the carnitas next time. read more
